Buizel took all of his air out of his collar and dived down into the hot spring's water, using his tails as propellers. He looked back up at Riolu and grabbed her feet, dragging her down while an evil smile on his face.

Buizel let her go and put air in his collar so he would float up without doing anything himself. Once he was above the water again, he got out and left. He said "Sure. She can do things to me but when I try to do things to her I get punched. I didn't like getting manhandled by her but hey, who cares. Right? Wrong!!!! Dead wrong." He looked over at the hot spring one last time to fire a water gun right where Riolu should be surfacing and left.

Riolu jumpped out and coughed up water, spitting out, gasping for breath. "Look! I'm sorry I hit you but I couldn't breath!" she yelled. "I was drowning, I thought you were trying to hurt me...sorry...I'm not used to trusting people..." she said, looking regretful. "Please...don't go...I've never had a friend before alright...not a real friend...the one I thought was my friend...well..." she said, taking off the scarf she wore to show a nasty scar on it, like someone had tried to slit her throat.

Buizel huffed and said "Well, you should have thought about that sooner rather than later because you broke my d*** nose. You know something I wanted to be friends with you but now I don't. I can't trust anyone. The last friend of mine actually made me into a freaking outlaw for something we both did and he blamed it all on me. I had to flee my home for orders that I carried out that were given to me by the head law enforcer." He tried sniffing out of his nose but he couldn't and there was actual blood dripping from it.

Riolu came over to him, she tipped his head back. "Do that so the blood doesn't clot in your nose or choke you." she said. "Look, I'm sorry...I'm really sorry..." she said, getting herbs to help with his nose. "...I was an outlaw too...I did things I'm not proud of...got in a lot of trouble...finally, the one I thought was my partner and friend...slit my throat, left me for dead, and made off with the loot..." she said. "I swore if I lived...I'd turn over a new leaf..." she said. "I lived, so that's what I'm trying to to...but when you started dragging me down...I had a flashback to what she did to me and paniced...at least your friend didn't try to kill you..." she said, bringing herbs over and crushing them. "Smell these, they'll stop the bleeding." she said, the smell was terrible, but it would indeed stop the bleeding quick.

Buizel kept his head back and took a sniff of the herbs. Once it felt like his nose stopped bleeding, he looked at Riolu and said, "You have no idea how my life has been up to this point. How can you say something like at least your friend didn't try to kill you when you don't know my past at all? My friend tried to kill me every day of my life and every time I brought it up with my boss he shot me down and said 'Stop lying about my brother.' I hated those two with a passion. It's very hard for me to trust anyone and you hit me on the noose, doesn't help at all. If you truly are sorry then I forgive you but don't ever do that again or I 'will' leave for good."

Riolu nodded, clearly sorry. "I'm sorry...but from how you put it it didn't seem like he tried." she said, then turned. "Just...be careful...Sometimes...when someone tries something part of me takes as a threat...I can't control myself..." she said, sitting down and drawing her legs into her chest. "It's like a part of me is trying to protect me...but it's overprotective...ever since she did that to me...I've been like this..." she said, deeply rattled by it. "...She wasn't just any friend, Buizel...she was my own flesh and blood...my big sister..."

Buizel walked up to Riolu and sat down right next to her. He wrapped an arm around her and said softly while rocking her, back and forth, gently "Listen. You're life wasn't that bad Riolu. Let me tell you my life's story. You see, I lived in a good home, everyone in my family loved and took care of each other for the first seven years of my life. It was the greatest years of my life. I did whatever I wanted, I came home late and I never got punished, I was never grounded. Nothing bad ever happened to me or my family but that was soon to change because of a relative of my father's entered into his life once again. This relative was the boss I was talking about but that's later on in the story. The relative stayed with us and he practically punished me for doing nothing wrong and beat up on my whole family until my father tried to stop him. He, one day, took his relative outside to talk and the relative never entered the house never again, only because something worse was just over the horizon. My father became very abusive over the next few months until he got to the point of scarring me every time he walked past me or even near me. I feared for my life because he beat me to death every day of my life from that day forward until I became 16 but that was the year that everything went horribly wrong. On my 16th birthday, he killed my older brother in front of me and said 'Happy birthday, son. Hope you liked your present.' I cried over my lost brother but that was only the beginning of the killing. He killed my younger sister a few months later and picked off the others, one every month, until it came down to just me and my mother. He didn't kill my mother as quickly as he did the others even though she probably wished he did. He tortured her for months and months without end until I turned 18 which was a year later and he killed her." He looked down sorrowfully and said "I still can't believe she's gone. It's so unreal and I hate talking about her because she was the only one that was truly there for me throughout my life. Anyways, after her death, the relative came back and burned the house down with all of the evidence and he was the law enforcement so there was a false report on his behalf upon all of this. I was forced to join the force, being threatened that I would suffer the same fate as my mother. So, I did and I helped as many people as I could but my father tried to kill me every time we went out to do some law enforcing. It was like I was in a living nightmare. My whole life was basically like that. Then the incident......The incident.......We were out doing some law enforcement like always when my father told me to kill these innocent people and I did because I was told that it was from the boss and I certainly didn't want to displease him. So, after I did, my father chased me away and the boss posted my head on the outlaw board around where I lived on the most wanted position. So, I'm sorry if I just bored you but I wanted to share my story with you. I'm sorry if this has disturbed you deeply but you needed to know. So, please cheer up. I'm here for you but please, don't manhandle me again and I'll try not to dunk you."

Riolu listened patiantly and shook her head. "No...thank you...for openning up...if nothing else, it shows I can trust you." she said, smiling. "I'm sorry that happened to you...I know how it feels to lose your mother...my parents lost everything they had, leaving us on the streets...my dad died of illness...my mother killed herself...my sister was all I had left..." she explained, looking down. "We had to steal to survive...finally, we got a big score...my sister turned on me, slit my throat and ran away, leaving me there to die..." she explained, looking down. "I prayed that if I survived, if I hung on somehow, I'd never return to my life of crime...that's when...someone...I don't know who, saved me...I just remember them walking up to me...when I woke up, my throat was stitched up and I'd been given blood...but they were gone..." she explained. "I don't know who they were or why they did...maybe they were an angel sent to anwser my prayers..."

Buizel smiled softly and brought her chin up with his paw and said "I'm never going to leave you, Riolu. We need someone to care for us and here we are. Maybe, we can leave everything behind both of us at last and move on with our lives. Maybe that is why we met. Maybe that is why we are such good friends." He bent forward and licked her cheek.

Riolu nodded. "Yeah...sorry about your nose still...at least the herbs healed you." she said, standing up. "Anyway, it's gett darker, let's head to my house, I have an extra bed...and about your question earlier." she said, remembering. "Explorer Teams explore places, rescue people, arrest Outlaws, and generally help Pokemon." she explained. "And find plenty of treasure." she explained. "Normally we'd need to go to a guild first but lucky for you, I already did." she said, showing her liscence. "So, I have to be the technical leader for us to be legal, but we don't need to go through a lot of training." she explained. "Which reminds me, sorry for manhandling you, its a canine thing." she explained. "Canines don't like to be told by someone they're weaker than them, we feel an instinctive need to defend our position, just with my...upbringing, I took it a bit far, just it wasn't anything personal, just instinctive."

Buizel nodded his head and said "You're forgiven. Me pulling you under is instinctive too. We water mammals like to have fun underwater and I wanted to play. So, my instincts made me pull you underwater in order to have some fun. I'm sorry for that. If you want to pick me up and be gently then that's fine. Just don't be rough or you will be a soaked dog by my water gun and then you will be smelly."

Riolu chuckled. "Technically, I think I'd be a jackle, I'm not sure." she said. "Anyway, I understand, I'll do my best to play nice." she explained, then entering a clearing and coming to her small, cozy house. She unlocked the door and lead him in, closing and locking the door behind them. "I don't like leaving the door unlocked, personal preference." she explained. She headed over and started the fire, it was kind of chilly. "It's note big or roomy...but its home." she said, looking around her cozy house. "I'm renting it from a nice Kangaskhan in town, she owns a storage building down there."

Buizel smiled and said "It's a good preference to have." He looked and sniffed around the houes, just to get familiar with it, while saying "It's better than the street, at least." He looked at her and had a warm smile on his lips. He said "How much do you think this house is worth?"
