Denali whined, cuddling up to her mother. "Momma...I scared..."
"The Amarok will return to its old hunting grounds..." said Aniu.
"And where is that?" asked Balto, concerned.
"An ancient Inuit territory that they long since abandoned." said Lenatei.
"Well that isn't too bad..." said Fang, looking for the positive.
"Unfortunately...Nome is built right on top of it." said Aniu.

Jenna's eyes widened, and she comforted her pups as best as she could as they cuddled into her.
Katie and kodi looked at one another. She put a paw on top of her belly, and he nodded solemnly. "Well, this puts a big downer on things..." Katie said, still shocked.
Tai looked frozen, her mouth a straight line. "So... it's going to come to Nome, and ransack the place?" she asked, her voice breaking.
Goldie gasped, looking at them all with a gulp. "Um... I don't really have anything funny or smart ot say... but, what does this mean to the people, the dogs in town- the wolves nearby?? Will this Amarok kill them?"

Aniu nodded. "Anyone outside at night or in a blizzard will be easy prey for that demon." she explained. "Only one wolf knows how to destroy the Amarok, Nava."
Ken looked up at his mother. "Momma...Rosie be kay?" he asked, asking if Rosie would be alright, he was very close to her, in fact, her parents were thinking of keeping Ken instead of giving him away.

Goldie swallowed hard. She nodded in response, keeping close to Cachen.
"Nava?' Katie asked, surprised to hear the name. "I don't see why I'm so surprised." she murmrued to herself. "Where is he now?"
Jenna smiled softly, and nodded. "we're going to make sure she'll be okay."

Balto sighed. "That'll take a day or two..." he said. "I hope we have time to find him..."
"The Amarok isn't physical, it's a spirit, but it effects the phyical world...that sounds strange, but I'm pretty much the same." said Lenatei. "It can bypass certain things, but it rests during the day. So you might be able to do it."

Jenna sighed. "It's alot less of a journey than the last few." she said, looking at her pups.
Aleu nodded. "that means he's somewhere deeper inland." she said. "The pack moved across the bridge this past winter, because the game got scarce."
"Reasts during the day?" Tai repeated, fiding the words odd. "Does that mean we'd have more of a chance killing it or hurting it during the day?"

"I'm sorry, but that's doubtful, its a spirit, so it tries to find places to sleep where it can't be found." said Aniu.
"Good momma, I luv Rosie." said Ken, concerned for her.
"Momma, who Nuva?" asked Denali, misprounouncing Nava's name.
Cachen gave Goldie a nuzzle to try and calm her.

"so, we have to go to Uncle to find out how to kill it?" Katie asked, her stomach quivering softly.
Jenna smiled softly, finding that cute. "Yes, I love Rosie too." she said to Kenai, before looking at Denali. "Your Papa met him. He said Nava's an old wolf who knows quite a lot. He helped out your sister and your Papa before you were born."
Goldie smiled, nuzzling Cachen in return. "Thank you." she said softly.

Lena nuzzled her mother, trying to calm her.

Ken cuddled up to Jenna, glad to have a good anwser.

Katie smiled lsightly at Lena, nuzzling back. "well, good news is you'll get to meet your Great-Uncle." she said, smiling wide.
Goldie blushed softly. "and if you ever need something, you know I'm here." she said, licking his cheek gently.
Kodi looked concerned, not wanting Katie to get hurt by going on this journey.
Jenna nodded and smiled at her pup. "Yes, he helped Papa." she said, nuzzling Ken and Denali.

Katie shrugged. "I'm not sure. He's my Father's brother. But I'm sure he is as sad as I was about what happened." she said, nuzzling her pup.
Goldie giggled. "Of course I'm always there for you, Cachen!" she said, cuddling close to him happily.
Blaze went over to Balto, snuggling up to him cutely. "Papa, where Na-ba?" she asked, mispronouncing his name.
Jenna smiled, her own tail wagging. "He's sister's Uncle. Like Uncle Boris is yours." she said, meaning Katie.

"And me for you." said Cachen, smiling and cuddling closer.
"It's Na-va, sweetheart." prounced Balto to correct her. "And I don't know, according to Aniu, he's not all that far...if I try to leave you here you'll just sneak out and follow anyway, won't you?" he asked, knowing his daught well by now.
Ken, feeling ignored, started nibbling Kodi's paw to try and get his attention.
Denali smiled. "I understand, I think." she replied. "He Bashkei's brother?"

Kodi, who was too worried for the moment, yipped a little when his younger brother nibbled his paw. He looked down at Kenai smiling a little. "Hm? Oh, yes, I am worried, Ken..." he said, rubbing the pup's head with a paw.
Blaze nodded rapidly, becoming dizzy. "oooh..." she groaned as the den spun, landing on her back bewtween her Father's front legs. She smiled sheepishly.
Katie nodded, grinning. "Yes, it's been so long since I've seen Uncle Nava, I'll be glad to see him too."
Goldie smiled wider, and wagged her tail happily. "I'm so glad to hear that!"
Jenna nodded, having heard what Katie said. "Yes, he is." she said, adding with a wink. "Maybe he'll be bigger than Bashkei, hm?" she joked, laughing.

Balto chuckled. "Well, I know its dangerious, but in all odds, it'd be more dangerious in Nome with the Amarok coming, so I think its best you come with us."
"Yeah...Momma, do you think Aleu's pack will be alright?" asked Cachen. "I know they were mean to her...but they're just scared."
"Wow!" said Denali, eyes wide with amazement there could be a bigger wolf than Bashkei. "Bashkei come?"
