Rose looked between Griffin and Jamie as they argued, not wanting to get in the middle of the fight but also not wanting them to continue this. She really wanted the two of them to get along. She wanted Jamie to like Griffin for reasons that Rose couldn't be sure of. She supposed that it was because she had no intention of letting either of them out of her sight for the next few days, so she really needed them to get along.

When they finally left, Rose held tightly to Jamie's hand as they sensation of running at impossible speeds filled her again. She turned to Griffin, glad he was by her side again. "Yeah, I'm fine," she said with a smile. "I think I'm starting to get used to this," she joked. She knew that she would have to get used to traveling this way if she was to stay with Griffin and Jamie. She would much rather be with the two of them on the run than be "safe" with the Council.

Rose looked away from Griffin at this thought. She knew that she would never be safe with the Council again. They had seen her escape with Griffin. She is a convict, the same as he. She felt guilty for not yet admitting to him that she was not safe from the death penality. There was more hope for her because of her parents, but she most likely would be killed along with Griffin and Jamie. She wanted to tell Griffin the truth, but she knew that would only cause him more worry.

Ooc:// I think we should definately bring them in soon. I'm having trouble writing a good post with only one character. If you want, Devin and Cale could be traveling together, but Haley will still be on her own until she comes across the others. As for Kendra and Tanya, maybe they can be sisters or counsins or something? They kind of look alike in the pictures.

OOC: I'm sorry, I'm a bit stuck on what to post XD Can you please let me know a few things before I do post? ^^ And I'll say a few things too. Mk... the Tanya and Kendra being sisters I think is an AWESOME twist! Cale and Devin can be together when they come across the vamps and then Haley will come later... Would it be alright if Cale and Devin come in now? (like in the next few posts?) And one more thing. I was re-reading the werewolf description. So there are three nights where the moon appears full and they turn? And then any other time they're just abnormally powerful humans and can change certain parts of their body at various times? (I just wanna get it straight before we RP with the werewolves haha)

Ooc:// I think that Cale and Devin should come in soon. I'll have Haley arrive soon after (probably two or three posts after Devin and Cale join the group). And I'll explain the werewolf description in more detail. Werewolves appear human most of the time, but they are more powerful (faster, stronger, ect...). During the day, they can change certain body parts to appear more wolf. For example, their nails can alongate and dark into claws; their canines can grew into fangs (thicker and more animal-like than vampire fangs). Whenever this happens, it is usually for defense or because they are very angry or agitated. Also, when this happens, their eyes usually change to golden wolf eyes which symbolizes the wolf inside them coming to the surface and taking slight control. They cannot fully change into their wolf form during the day, but can resemble their anthro form (Kinda like this but with less bodily fur or kinda like the wolfman). During the New Moon, they can do the same as they can during the dau, but cannot change fully into a wolf. During the three nights of the Full Moon, the werewolf must change, but most go willingly. The more a werewolf resists the change, the more painful it is during the shift.

I hope the answers all your questions. If not, just ask. (I've put a lot of through into this because of my book)

EDIT

Found another visual for the anthro form: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=werewolf&order=9&offset=24#/d1bt6gk

OOC: Mk then I think that pretty much covers my questions haha. So when will this timeline be? Can you tell me whenever you want the first full moon to be? (Just so I know) Oh and one more question (lol sorry XD): can they change any other night or only the nights of the full moon? And btw, I'm giving Griffin a color like the others so we don't get confused on the 'oocs' or when I'm saying something general in the RP that applies to all the chars instead of a specific one xD I'm making it very close to black, though, so it isn't a dramatic change ;]

The three seemed to be making good time and in barely any they were back in the forest. Griffin puffed out a breath and looked behind him. "Looks like they're gone for now." He turned back to Rose and Jamie and then looked up. He didn't exactly know why, but for some reason he did. As he did, Jamie spoke up.

"So what to we do now?" She asked, her voice clearly a lot less agitated then before. By now she had let go of Rose's hand, but as the bushes near them began to shake, Jamie grasped her friend's hand once more. "What is that?" Her voice now seemed to be shaking itself.

Devin peered through the brush, knowing something was off. People never walked through this part of the woods... why would they now? At this time of day? He growled silently to himself. What was it about them that he didn't like, right off the bat? When he thought about it, he could finally tell. His eyes became as small as slits as he recognized the pure hate he felt for the two seemingly humans but for the third he could not feel. Vampires. As he transformed his human-like nose to his canine one, he could suddenly smell their scent through his nostrils. It almost burned his nose. "Ugh..." he whispered. But he couldn't seem to smell that odor from the third one. She seemed human. He tilted his head as he switched his nose back to the more dull sensing one that looked a whole lot more human. "What's going on?" Devin shouted as he came out of the green.

Griffin widened his eyes the second he smelled the scent coming from the seemingly normal human. "Get away!" He hissed. "Get out!"

Devin growled under his breath. He turned back to where Cale was and looked back at the vampires. "Make me." His eyes pierced through Griffin.

The male vampire couldn't seem to help himself from a fight. Rose hadn't been in his vision for a while, so he hadn't really been reminded of why he stopped trying to act how he used to. As a matter of fact, in this moment, he didn't even remember anyone was there but him. He hissed louder as he came forward at the werewolf. At first it was a slow movement, but as Devin advanced faster, so did he. "You'll regret this." His eyes were piercing as well.

Devin wouldn't lower his guard. "Oh, I'll take my chances," he mocked.

It wasn't long before the two were in a major fight. Both had back-ups, but neither Rose or Jamie probably wouldn't get involved and for the time being, Devin wasn't sure if Cale would either. The fight was in full swing, and neither opponent was backing down. It was going to turn fatal in less than a moment. Both sides were bleeding in various spots and it wasn't helping the situation any. If it wasn't stopped soon, things would turn out badly for both the vampires and werewolves.

Ooc:// Yes, they can change any night except when it is a full moon. It's the moon that changes them, which is why they can't fully change during the day. But during the night, they can do basically anything but they don't have to. The urge is always there though (kind of how the thirst is always there for a vampire). Also, I'll give Rose a color too. And bring in Haley now instead of later.

"Griffin!" Rose shouted as he lunged at the dark-haired boy who looked perfectly human to Rose until they began to fight. She spotted the tint of gold in the boy's eyes. Griffin had called him a werewolf, yet another supernatural creature to find its way to her. Maybe she just attracted that kind of guy.

Rose went to rush into the fight, not thinking clearly, but she was held back by the grip that Jamie had on her hand. She turned back to face her friend. "Can't we do something?!" she asked with panic.

Cale leapt up from his lounging in the bushes, taking the scene in for a moment before running towards the site. His eyes tingled slightyly from the change is color and his pupils expanding, making his eyes look nearly black with only a small line of gold. He paused for a moment in front of the vampire and the human girl, hunched over and probably looking like a monster to the human. When the female vampire did not make a move at him, Cale ran head-first into the brawl going on between Devin and the male vampire. He was able to pin the vampire just long enough to really get his thick, black claws into the vampire's tough skin. A fight between a vampire and werewolf was normally fair, but Cale and Devin had teamwork on their side.

Rose loosened herself from Jamie's grip and ran towards the scrable. Something came out of nowhere, though, and knocked her back many feet away from them.

Haley lifted herself off of the stupid human girl and offered a hand to help her up. "You must have some sort of death wish if you want to get involved in that." She nodded her head back to indicate the fight. "It's how the boys blow off steam. Just let them go."

Rose rufused the new girl's hand and lifted herself up on her own. She was about to try and rush past the intruder, but she thought that she didn't really have much of a chance getting by. "But they're going to kill each other!" Rose snapped at the new girl.

"Oh, they just probably got on each other's nerve. They'll cool down in a second. Wolves don't kill wolves, not in this period of time," Haley replied, not realizing that one of the males was actually a vampire. The scent finally hit her dull human senses, and she turned on the dark haired female, her teeth in fangs and her eyes yellow. She growled at the female vampire just as she turned her head towards the males, scenting the air with her canine nose. Her eyes locked on the blond male that she knew to be the vampire of the group. She turned her attention back to the female vampire. "What is going on here!" she demanded, resisting the urge to lunge at the vampire.

Griffin hissed and struggled violently. He was pinned down by Cale and the claws that dug into his shoulder sent a searing pain down his body, not to mention a screeching cry. "Get. OFF." He tried to yell at the weres, but it was no use. They had teamwork. All he had was Jamie and Rose, and Rose seemed to be trying to help but a blur out of no where came to stop her. Griffin turned back and saw Jamie, pretty much free from anything. He would have called for help from any of them, but it would have been pointless. He was stupid to believe that they would help him even though he pretty much volunteered for the fight. Then again, he had expected it to stay 1 on 1, not turn into a 3 vs. 1 death sentence.

Jamie was not sure at all what to do. She didn't know if she should answer the vampire or try and help Griffin, or let Rose past the new girl. "I don't know! That stupid kid came out of no where demanding a fight! And of course, they fought! Now they're going to kill each other and you're keeping us from getting to them!" She, too, was trying to resist the urge to go and tear the girl apart. She was not only going to pretty much keep them from helping Griffin (which would ultimately lead to his death) but she was standing around acting as if she didn't know what was going on. It irritated Jamie beyond the point of relaxation again.

Devin laughed, a canine kind of tint to his tone. "Oh you're gonna get it now, vampire!" He taunted. He came at Griffin as well, changing his teeth to those of his wolf side. His eyes glinted that peircing yellow again, and he took a strike. He bit at the vampire's shoulder, which was already in an enormous amout of pain, and then decided to move on to his neck.

Griffin yelled in pain and couldn't keep himself from doing so. He couldn't even speak, actually. All he could do was endure the searing jolts that went through him and try to let some of it out by using his voice to make a sound other than words.

Jamie finally got the courage to knock Haley down. "Three against one is NOT a fair fight!" She shouted as the girl hit the floor. She flicked her eyes to Rose as if to say 'Go, now! I'll keep her busy!' She quickly turned back to Hayley, though, and now she kept her eyes on nothing but her. She wouldn't let her out of her sight until Rose was clean past her. She'd make sure of it.

Rose nodded at Jamie and ran past the werewolf. Not having a plan in mind, Rose just ran towards Griffin. She came at the boy who had Griffin pinned down. She grabbed him in a football that her dad had taught her when she was a little girl. It didn't work as well on a werewolf though. Still, she was able to at least knock him off his balance and he stumbled off of Griffin. Rose flew right over his back though, and hit the ground hard. She scrambled off the ground, realizing it was not the place she wanted to be, only to be faced with the growling face of the boy.

Haley growled at the vampire. "You scum don't really know where you belong, do you?" she snarled before lunging at the vampire. She knocked the female down and snapped at her neck with her canines, knicking her collar bone at least once.

Cale huffed as something knocked into him. Mostly out of surprise that such a tiny creature would came after him, he took a couple of unsteady steps off of the vampire as the girl soared over his back and onto the ground. Cale turned on her, growling fiercely at the one who had caused him to loose his grip on the vampire. He swung out a clawed hand at her, annoyed with the little human. Usually he tried to be merciful on humans, but she was nothing more than a nusiance to him at the moment.

Rose shouted out in pain as the inhuman claws racked across her shoulder and upper arm. The shere force of the werewolf's arm knocked her to the ground. She stared up in horror at the golden wolf eyes that the boy possessed. She prepared to run, but realized that the creature would only leap on her and kill her in an instant. Instead, Rose gripped a rock in her head and through it at the boy, hitting him square in the forehead. But it didn't seem to affect him at all after her shook off the initail hit.

Jamie was glad that Rose got through to Griffin, but the minute she turned to help her, she was on the ground herself. Hayley ripped her canine teeth against her neck and Jamie cried out in pain. "Can't you guys give it a rest?" She tried to be nice to the werewolves, but it looked as if they wanted to fight to the death. She tried to kick Hayley off but it was no use. Jamie had never been that strong of a vampire anyways, and now with this werewolf she was as weak as ever. Or it felt like it, at least. She couldn't find a way to break free. She turned to Griffin, still lying on the floor with Devin on him, hoping he'd be able to somehow gather enough strength to push the werewolf off.

Devin growled at them. He turned from Griffin for just a minute to see what had happened to Cale after he got knocked over, but now it was his turn. Since he wasn't paying attention, Griffin pushed him off in a snap. The werewolf hit the ground hard. "You'll pay for that!" He growled.

Griffin chuckled. "Let me laugh. You guys aren't the only ones who have a team. We do too, believe it or not." He turned to see Rose and was about to smile, but when he saw Cale advancing he hissed silently. "I'll handle you later, wolf." He went to push past the were, but Devin stopped him.

"Oh, no you don't." He blocked the way.

Griffin hissed violently to the point where Devin stepped back a bit without realizing. Griffin made his move in that moment. He screeched past Devin and was now in front of Cale, protecting Rose from any further harm. Even though he himself was caked with blood all over his neck, shoulders, and everywhere else, he was willing to get himself killed to save Rose. "You lay one more hand on her, and I swear you'll regret it for the rest of your pathetic lives." His eyes told a simple meaning now: This isn't a joke.

Cale growled at Griffin, saying, "Don't worry about the human. It's not her we're after." Cale crouched down, ready to pounce on Griffin.

Haley snarled in the vampire's face, but noticed that she wasn't putting up much of a fight. As her mind cleared, Haley stepped off of her victim. Haley wasn't one to kill someone (even a vampire) unless they did her harm first. With her anger released, Haley's teeth and hands returned to normal. She glanced over her shoulder and quickly came between one of the werewolves and the male vampire before the wolf could make his move. "You hexed boys don't know when to let it go, do you?" Haley said to the wolves, standing up straight and looking perfectly human. Her eyes still held a tint of gold to them though.

Cale straightened up and towered over Haley, lifting his head up in dominance. "What's a loner like you now about it?" Cale asked with a supieror smirk. "He's a Dead One. That's enough reason for me to personally exterminate him."

"Well that seems like a pretty dumb reason to me," Haley replied, struggling to keep her cool against the stubborn wolf. "Besides, its not them we need to be picking fights with. It brings too much attention."

Cale growled in annoyance, but didn't make a move against Haley.

Rose picked herself up off the ground and came to stand beside Griffin. She could feel that her whole arm was soaked with blood, but it didn't occur to her how dangerous it was for her to be close to Griffin with that much blood on her. She kept her eyes turned away from the wound, not ready to see the damage yet.

Jamie got up slowly, not entirely sure if Hayley would be coming back or not. When she finally tried to stop the fight, though, Jamie decided to stand up fully and maybe even trust the were a bit. After all, if she had been out to do nothing but kill them, why would she have thrown away her chance and stopped? "Thanks... uh..." Jamie laughed quietly, trying to bring up the mood of the situation. "I don't know your names."

Devin was surprised at the question. Why were these vampires being so nice? He couldn't comprehend it. Vampires weren't nice. They didn't have good in them. He couldn't see why they were able to do that now unless they were pretending. Although, if they really had intentions of killing, they wouldn't have stopped fighitng now that they had let their guard down. Devin was about to suck his claws and teeth back in and make his eyes turn their normal color when he saw Griffin and narrowed his eyes. He wasn't sure if the vampire was okay. He seemed to be breathing very hard. To make it look like he wasn't paying so much attention, though, he answered, "Devin."

Griffin had been standing still for the most part, not sure what to do. Jamie seemed to be trying to play the role of the nice vampire but this vampire didn't do that. He wouldn't be entirely nice until he knew he could trust them. That took a lot of earning, though. So it'd be a while before the whole group could get off of thin ice. He answered quickly, quietly, and a bit rougher than he usually talked: "Griffin."

Everyone turned, though, when he said his name because that was the natural reaction. What they saw, though, was also a natural reaction. Though, they couldn't have known it at first.

Griffin began to shake a bit as Rose came next to him. He could smell not only his only blood, which didn't really stir him, and everyone else's, which weren't a big deal either, but now he could smell hers. It was intoxicating his nose. He had just drinken blood not too long ago, but with her being so close and the blood filling his nose so much, it was the most difficult thing you'd ever imagine for him to not snap. It was about to happen, though, and he knew it. "Rose, I love you, but please. Step back a bit until I can handle it." His voice was extremely gentle, but shaky as well. You could tell he was in a lot of distress, trying to stay away as much as possible. He made a step forward, but his body wouldn't allow it. It wanted him to edge closer. Griffin couldn't move, and as he realized it, his fangs came out again. They were slowly and slowly growing out, becoming razor sharp. "No, please.." He whispered. "Rose, go over to the weres! Please!" He begged.

Devin was shocked at what this vampire was doing. Was he trying to resist the natural urge to kill her? What a spectacular scene. He had never been a witness to something like this in his life. "What are you saying, vampire?"

Griffin gave him a cold, hard look, but it turned softer as he spoke. "You should be able to tell easy enough, Devin."

Devin was surprised to hear that the vampire called him by his name. Why would he do that? His guard went down even further. He wanted to get to know these vampires, in a way. "What are you going to do then? We should get her cleaned up."

Griffin nodded gravely. "If you don't, she'll be in a lot of danger."

Haley sighed with relief as everyone started to calm down. "I'm Haley," she said, mostly to the nicer vampire, Jamie. Haley was glad to see the vampires cooperating with her effort at peice. Even though it went against her every instinct, Haley had realized that werewolves and vampires couldn't afford to be enemies anymore with the Council ready to kill both of them at any moment. When she turned her head towards Griffin, she wasn't sure what he was doing. She opened her mouth to ask if he was alright at the same moment that the human girl's blood hit her nose. It was obvious that the vampire cared for the human, which was strange to say the least, so Haley soon realized that he was fighting every urge not to kill her. "Come on over here, girlie," Haley said in the friendly tone that was her normal tone of voice. "Give your boyfriend some breathing room."

Rose had automatically turned towards Griffin when he started speaking, but when he told her to move away from him, her legs suddenly froze, partially from fear but mostly out of panic. She flashed back to when Griffin had almost lost control before, and she had to swallow against the lump in her throat. Her heart pounded hard from his casual words of "I love you" and the adrenaline of being so near to someone who could kill her so easily.

Finally, Rose was snapped out of her trance by Haley's words. She blushed slightly at Haley's reference of Griffin as her boyfriend, but she didn't correct Haley either. After the first unsteady steps, Rose nearly ran towards Haley and the other two werewolves. When she reached them, she said in a beathy voice, "My name's Rose."

Cale glared at the female vampire. He had trouble even thinking that she had an actual name. He didn't trust the vampires at all, not even this human who seemed so fond of them. But that one vampire, Jamie, was acting way too nice trying to lighten the mood with introductions. Cale wasn't too fond of this werewolf girl either, so he stood in silence, having no intention of saying his name. He glanced at Devin, who had already given his name. Cale stared hard at the ground again as Haley brough the bleeding girl towards them. He supposed that he better play nice, but that didn't mean he would let his guard down. "Cale," he said simply. The single word seemed strange since the context of introductions had been interrupted because of the human and vampire drama.

Haley smiled at Rose before inspecting the wound. "That does look rather nasty," she muttered to herself, sending a sharp glare Cale's way as she said it. He just shrugged at her lazily. Haley turned back to Rose's arm. "It's hard to tell through this material. Do you think you can take your hoodie off?"

Rose nodded and began to shrug off the hoodie as she normally would. When the cloth slide across her arms, though, she hissed in pain. Haley reached a hand out and helped her peel the hoodie off as gently as they could. Her long-sleeved shirt came off with the hoodie, leaving Rose with only a white tank top in the slightly chilled air. She didn't notice the temperature though, since her arm was throbbing with pain she was finally feeling.

Griffin didn't really seem to relax that much even as Rose went towards the werewolves. He knew he could probably trust Haley since she tried to stop the fight and was acting so friendly (even though he also knew that could have been a trick, he decided to overlook the fact), but he was still shaking because the blood was as prominant as ever. He couldn't seem to get the scent out of the way of his thinking. He moved a few steps further away, but he still couldn't get it out. He grasped his head with both hands and bent down on the forest floor. He grunted in what sounded like struggle and then he let go to get up.

Devin was amazed at the will power this vampire was trying to muster. He really had nothing to say or do. He didn't fully trust these vampires yet, but something told him he would soon.

Jamie tried to edge closer to Griffin, tried to help him, but she was having trouble doing so. Griffin wasn't the only one who could smell Rose's blood. Jamie was having even more trouble controlling herself, but for some reason, thinking of other things helped calm her down. Besides, she was used to going through long periouds without blood. This wasn't really that different. Griffin on the other hand? She wasn't sure he was so lucky.

Griffin had spent his whole life killing without mercy, getting revenge without stopping, and never caring about anyone but himself. With Rose in the picture all of that was starting to change. Not only was he trying to change his whole outlook on others, humans, vampires, and werewolves alike, but he was having to give up his constant hunts for blood. He was used to going out whenever he felt like it and killing someone just for the rich, warm liquid inside them. Now he was having to stop doing that because of his feelings for Rose. Well.. the truth of the matter was that he didn't have to stop, but for some reason he felt a longing to please Rose. He wanted nothing more than to make her happy, or at least to make sure she was safe. This was the most major battle he had inside him. All the things he had done in his past were conflicting with what he wanted to do in the future. It was a bitter battle that probably wouldn't end well for him. And if it didn't end well for him who knew if it would end well for anyone else either...

Haley glanced over at Griffin with watchful eyes every few seconds as she tended to Rose. In her arms, there were three semi-deep slashes, but nothing that really needed stiches or any other kind of specail medical attention. She turned her head towards the two wolves. "Either of you have some water on you to wash this off with?" she asked them.

Cale grumbled something on his beath that sounded like a "Yes" but it wasn't clear. He went over to the bush that he had been lounging in before the vampires intruded. He picked up a half-empty water bottle and tossed it to Haley.

Haley caught the bottle and set it on the ground before ripping of one of the sleeves of Rose's hoodie. Even if Rose expected it back, she wouldn't get it. Her hoodie and shirt were covered in her blood now. They would both have to be burned before she within a few feet of Griffin again. Haley poured most of the water on the cloth and used it to dab at the gashes that were still bleeding slightly.

Rose didn't pay much attention to watch Haley was doing. Her eyes were glued to Griffin as he doubled over and fell to the ground. She wanted nothing more than to go to him, but she knew that would only make the pain worse for him. She felt horrible that she was the cause of this. She hissed in pain when Haley dabbed a wet cloth against her arm. She recognized it as part of her hoodie, and she quickly realized she wasn't getting her clothes back. That was when she rememberd the bag she had with her. She glanced around until she spotted the black bag in the spot she had been before Haley tackled her. "I actually have a first aid kit you can use," Rose said to Haley, nodding towards the bag.

"You could have mentioned that earlier," Haley said with a smirk. She quickly got off her knees and went to the bag. Looking through it, she found lots of useful things packed in there. Finally, she dug out the small white box. As she walked back to Rose, Haley sorted through it, finding gauze and disenfectant. "This may sting a little," Haley said as she sprayed some of the disinfectant on the cloth and rubbed in into Rose's cuts.

Rose clenched her teeth in pain, but tried not to cry out her anything. With her eyes teary, she lose track of exactly where Griffin was, so she tried to concentrate on a little purple flower by her foot.

Haley finally put down the cloth and began to wrap the gauze around Rose's upper arm. The wound had pretty much stopped bleeding, but there was a chance of it flowling again if Rose put a lot of strain on it. "There you go. All patched up and as hood as new," Haley said with a cheerful smile.

Jamie found the strength to smile as the human blood almost dissapeared from Rose's body. "You alright now?" She asked as she got a bit closer to Rose. She would be able to easily stand next to her now, but Griffin was another story. She looked back at him, as did Devin, who was eyeing him carefully.

Griffin looked at Rose finally and tried to manage a smile, but it would not appear on his face. Instead, his eyes looked grave as if he were tormenting himself for almost killing Rose. "Sorry." That one word was full of regret. You could tell that the moment he pronounced the sound. "I should learn to be more controlled..." he began. "The thing is, though, I'm not used to it. You all may be easily tolerant, but for some reason... I'm not...." He trailed off.

Jamie stopped to look into his eyes. They now seemed to be searching. Maybe not for an actual object, but probably for information or memories in his mind. "It's alright, Griffin. We all have trouble sometimes." She was referring to vampires mostly. "We just have to practice getting used to it." A weak smile tugged at her lips in an effort to make the male feel better.

Griffin sighed. "Yeah, well, why is it so hard? I've been practicing this entire time and it's not doing anything!"

Jamie smiled wider and chuckled softly. "Well how long have you been practicing? A day?"

Griffin stayed silent, but his face looked defeated.

Jamie let the smile stay. "Exactly."

Griffin shook his head. "Still..."

Jamie turned to put a hand on his shoulder. "Griffin, of course it's easier for the werewolves because they don't get a thirst for human blood like us vampires do. Of course it's easier for me because I've been under cover from the council and stayed in a house full of wood and silver, staying weak from the tiny amount I was able to get."

Devin shuddered at the mention of silver, but intently listened still.

Jamie continued, "What did you used to do before you met her? Tell me honestly."

Griffin's eyes turned away from the others. He suddenly felt regret from his past. "I didn't care about a single soul. I killed and murdered without mercy. Any time I saw a human pass by, they'd be dead in an instant."

Devin's eyes widened as Griffin explained his whole past fully.

Griffin then said, "Any time someone would come after me to try and make sure I didn't exist anymore, I'd hunt them down and get revenge so sweet only learning I'd go to heaven instead of hell when I finally die would feel better." He stopped to look at the ever dimming light. "I was a monster. I'd stop at nothing to get what I wanted and didn't care if I hurt others to do it." He turned back to everyone else. "Now I'm desperately trying to change... To change for Rose so she'll be safe. To.." he trailed off.

Jamie was a bit sympathetic. She knew this must be very tough for him to go through and she wanted to comfort him, to tell him everything would be alright in time. She conveyed this through her words. "Griffin, all it takes is time. You'll get better at it, trust me. It'll take a lot of will power but you'll get through. I promise." She gave him a small smile.

Eventually, Griffin found it hard to say the word he was going to now. "Thank you."

Jamie winked softly. "Don't mention it. Now come over here and give Rose a hug so we can all get back to our stupid lives!" She joked.

Griffin smiled and came over to where Rose was. Surprisingly, he found it much easier to stay near her. He picked her up and swung her around in one swift movement. Less than a few seconds later he kissed her forehead sweetly. "I'll keep you safe no matter what. If it takes me the rest of my life, I'll learn." He tried to show that smile again, and somewhat suceeded.

Devin didn't really know what to do other than stand there. He noticed Cale become more bitter by the moment and he stopped to walk towards him. He whispered in his ear, "Cale, what's up with you?" He honestly couldn't tell why he was acting like this. Was it cause of the vampires? Even Devin was still a little suspicious but after witnessing what had just taken place, shouldn't he give them and the human the benefit of the doubt? After all it seemed they were giving them the same.

Haley had settled herself on the ground, sitting cross-legged as the two vampires talked about their past. She was surprised by the amount of control that Jamie had learned, and even more shocked by the ways she learned that control. When Haley was growing up, Luna, her mentor and only other werewolf that Haley had trusted, did not hold very much respect for werewolves. Haley had heard so many horrible stories about the creatures when she was a little girl, and she had come to dislike them just as much as Luna. But things started to change inside Haley since the Council took over and Luna was captured. Haley had the idea that werewolves and vampires should work together, but she never had the courage or confidence to voice that idea. Now, after hearing Jamie's story, Haley really wanted to help these vampies. She even felt some sympathy for Griffin; it was obvious that he was trying his hardest to change his old ways. Haley glanced at Rose, who was kneeling beside her. Haley smiled at her, glad to see that love really could change people.

Which reminded her to glance over at the two wolves. Haley always looked for a potential love insterest every where she went, but it had become increasingly diffucult to do so ever since she had to go on the run. Wolves in general had become scarce, let alone male ones. But she had stumbled upon to good-looking makes by chance. Haley couldn't help but to think that fate had something to do with it. Haley decided that she really needed to get to know those two. One of them could be the love of her life.

Rose watched Griffin as he admitted to his terrible past. Rose already slightly knew what Griffin would say when Jamie asked him, since it was what the Council told everyone what vampires did. She couldn't help but smile brightly up at him, though, when he said that he wanted to change for her, to keep her safe. As he started to come towards her, Rose quickly stood up from the ground only to be swept up into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck as they spun around, letting out a small giggle.

When Griffin finally set her feet back on the ground, she continued to look up at him until he kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes, really taking in his words which sent a chill up her spin. Finally, she opened her lids and stared into his eyes. They had returned to their normal color, a peircing blue that Rose wanted to shy away from but at the same time she wanted to stare into them forever and not look away.

So caught up in the moment, the rest of the world faded away, and it seemed like it was only Rose and Griffin, standing alone. With her arms still around his neck, Rose almost stretched up to kiss him. She restrained from the urge, though, not being too fond of public kisses. Still, her mind and heart were both telling her to do it any way. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Rose looked away from Griffin and glanced at the ground. She slide her arms from his neck and wrapped them around herself. She wasn't very cold, but she was finally becoming a little self consious about being in so little clothing. It wasn't Roses style to go out in tanks unless the summer heat called for it.

Haley tore her eyes away from the two boys, seeing they were starting to talk, probably about something deep and important. She glanced back at Grififn and Rose, and had to bit her tongue before she let out an "Aw" at the two of them. Instead, she picked herself up off the ground and gathered Rose's hoodie and shirt. She cleared away the leaves from a spot on the ground, and laid the clothes on the ground. She pulled a pick of matches from her pocket, glad that she at least had something helpful. Haley light on of them and placed it on the blood soaked clothes, relieving Griffin of any temptation as the scent of blood was replaced with the smell of smoke. Haley control the small fire with a stick, preventing it from spreading to one of the bushes or the grass. The last thing they needed was a forest fire.

Cale shrugged at Devin trying to avoid talking about it. "I just don't like vampires much," he said simply, tugging a stem off of the bush and peeling the leaves of it it. His eyes wondered to the vampires and the human, though. His pack had told him to never trust a vampire, that they were munipulative creatures and excellent liars. Cale just couldn't let go of all those years of convincing that vampires could never be anything but evil. He had had his own personal experience with a vampire once, in the time before the Council, but he hated to even think about that day. It brough up too many emotions that Cale hated to show, even to his best friend.
