The bell had made Syvor jump nearly out of his feathers, and he watched stupidly as Lily briskly walked out the door without so much as a single glance back, just one last sentence of, It's good to meet you, Syvor. He was about to say, Wait! so he could talk to her, but she was already out the door. Syvor noticed he may have been annoying to her, but what did he care? He concentrated on keeping his wings folded tightly against his body as he simply stuffed things into his backpack and flung it across his back, already standing up and following Lily.

Okay, he knew she thought he was annoying, but what could possibly go wrong by just asking her a simple -and vague as possible- question? He jumped out the door and slammed his shoulder into someone (Ilac) and kept going with flying feet and closed mouth. The signal had been muffled by clothing in the way, but he knew he'd picked up something weird when he bumped into that kid. How many Halves could possibly be in this school? he thought. Well, if there was any, anyway.

When he found Lily stalking down the hall, he said to her, loud enough for her to hear him, "Hey, I know we just met, but can I ask you a question?" Without giving her time to answer, he blurted out, "Would you consider yourself...er...unique?" He figured if he asked her a general-enough question, and if she turned out to be what Syvor thought she was, she would know what kind of 'unique' he was talking about. Make sense? Then read the sentence over, lazy.

Korana's eyes widened as she heard him ask the question. How could he be so stupid just because she thought she was half, he just blurted out his secret!
She shook her head then the bell rang, she sighed as he left, it was a sigh of relief. She didn't want to be interogated anymore. She walked out of the room walking slowly throught the halls, she saw Rue she thought her name was, running to Taylor and another boy. She wondered what she was in such a hurry for, but it didn't matter she hoped she got left alone for the rest of the day. If she got asked anymore questions, she would blow, and that wouldn't be good, not at all.

Taylor hadn't forgot his regret, not one bit. But as Ilac told him a message, his almost forest green eyes widened. How many in this school were there? But just then, he was shoved by the half demon, Lily. He felt a strange vibe from her touch, but decided it wasn't as important at the moment. He quickly said, "No problem!" before feeling a touch on his shoulder. When he turned back, he saw Rue. "I... uh.... alright.." He still felt terrible. "Sorry... about basically blurting out the secret. It's my fault and I shouldn't have done it." He looked Rue in the eyes with a mixed expression in his eyes. They were full of both apology and regret. He cursed under his breath but saw the 'tiger girl' near her locker. He made a slight grin from the corner of his mouth and swiftly approached her before leaving with Rue and Ilac. "Listen.... uh.... about what I said..." he started out awkwardly. "Just forget what I mentioned, okay?" And with that, he left to Rue and Ilac. "Alright, let's get out of here." He started heading to the nearest window.

Ilac nodded and whispered, "I know a way to sneak out on my own." He took a deep breath and checked to see who was watching. He seemed to dissapear as he shifted into his other form. Unlike most halves, he always looked the same. He was either a human with dove wings, or a dove with a human body. The only thing that changed was his size. And since he hadn't told them what he was...he was close to invisible. He quickly ran and jumped onto Taylor's shoulder with a flutter that was the best his wings could do, confined to his shirt.

Taylor was a bit surprised at Ilac's ability to change size, but all he could so was note it down mentally and move on. In reply to Rue's instructions, he nodded. "Alright, sounds good." Once she left, he looked to Ilac. "You ready for this?" He asked. Before getting an answer, he looked around, making sure no one else was in the hall to see him. When he was sure all was clear, he closed his eyes and concentrated.

All of a sudden, a beam of light appeared around him. It flowed around his entire body until his entire appearence was almost completely altered. His blonde hair faded darker and darker until it was jet black, and his evergreen eyes seemed to light up until they were a beautiful sky blue color. Along with that, his skin paled until it was deathly close to white. It looked like the lightest skin tone you'd ever see a human have. His clothes seemed the same but a leather jacket replaced his brown hoodie. His jeans turned darker and darker until they were almost black, but still considered a navy color. The only thing that didn't really change was his undershirt, which was white.

After his transformation, his feet lifted off the ground as he went out the window. In almost no time, he was soaring in the sky. He turned to look at Ilac. "So you're half dove?" he asked casually.

Rue was forced to climb down the walls, but the brick proved to have plenty of handholds. She dropped lightly onto the pavement below...only to see figures running up towards her. She had no choice to morph; even as a human, she could smell the antiseptic scent on them. A howl broke through the air, filled with warning and an edge of fear.

Rue could see she had been correct; they were scientists. Once again, they had found her. They were beginning to close in on her, looking victorious. Her violet eyes widened, and she let loose another howl, this time edged with a snarl. She began to run, her paws flashing as she raced against them, nothing more than a streak of black fur. Only then did she see their truck. Her heart sank. While she was fast, she couldn't outrun a large truck...no one could.

Korana was sitting in her math class thinking of Taylor, and what would have happened if she had told him. Just then she smelled a smell she was so used to now, since she had been smelling it since she was a baby. Scientist, their lab coats that smelled of some type of plastic, and their skin that smelled of medicine of all kinds.
Just as she caught sent of then she heard a ear shattering howl disturb the air. She got up and ran outside, she saw the scientist, closing in on the black wolf who seemed to have the eyes of the girl called Rue. Korana didn't know what to do, or where Taylor and the other boy were. She just stared in shock waiting for the scientist to come after her. They probaby remember her from some other time, their was one in particular she noticed, but she didn't pay attention, she was trying to think of a plan.

Now that the halls were empty, Ilac ripped off his overshirt, stuffing it in his backpack. Now he was wearing a plain undershirt with slits for his wings. Thankfully, he extended his wings all the way, diving gracefully out of the window. He was halfway down when he heard Rue's howl. What was wrong?
Swooping into a vertical position, he saw Rue, a streak of black fur, running from a truck. He turned to Taylor. "What's going on?" he asked.

OOC: Uh, Ilac never mentioned being half dove, and when Taylor asked, Ilac's wings were still in his shirt.

Taylor suddenly stopped right in mid air as a splitting howl seemed to tear the sky in half with it's might. As his memory flashed, he remembered how Rue said she's be a wolf where they were supposed to meet. His face went from a normal expression to a completely worried look. He turned quickly to Ilac and said in a rushed voice, "Rue! It's Rue! She's in trouble!" He desperately flew towards the source, as fast as the wind could carry him. When he got there, he flew down, looking at Rue, who was now a beautiful black wolf. He could tell it was her, not only because she was a canine, but because her eyes seemed to be the same. But as he looked at Rue, he also saw Korana. "Korana? What are you doing here-" His sentence got cut off as he got hit with a dart. He quickly fell to the ground with a groan. "Ughh..." he said a bit groggily. These darts weren't meant to entirely knock them out, but to simply weaken them enough so that they couldn't really move voluntarily. Taylor groaned again as he realized the situation they had gotten themselves into. "Dangit..." was all he could say. Now he was back in the scientists' hands, somewhere he swore he never wanted to be again.

Syvor was at a dead end here. If she wasn't a Half, he couldn't just let out his secret. But if she was...

He decided to just let it out. I mean, if she was -which he was sure of- he couldn't pass up an opportunity to meet another one of his kind. He was so sure. When they shook hands, it sent the same kind of signals he remembered from Ephra, and yet the complete opposite. It was a fifty-fifty shot. He shifted the weight of his backpack nervously.

"Listen," he began with, making sure he looked and sounded as serious as possible, "I know you just met me, but I know what you are. And I'm one too." He let his russet-brown eyes stare into her lavender eyes, making sure she had her attention. He spoke slowly and firmly, "Do you understand what I'm saying? No more vague answers. If you know what I'm talking about, please, please say so." Syvor realized his voice turned from firm and serious to pleading. He fixed that. "Do you understand?" He needed to know he wasn't alone. He'd heard stories about sightings and whatnot, but ever since Ephra disappeared, he felt like he was the last of his kind.

Syvor witnessed her eyes taking on a different, redder color, some kind of bumps above them coming into view. I knew it. he thought. He wasn't afraid, not even a little bit; he'd seen it all.

Maybe not this kind of "all", but still.

When that severe, heart-wrenching cry shattered the air, he'd nearly jumped out of his feathers. "Sounded like a wolf howl." he answered curiously. Thank you, Captain Obvious. There was a rectangular window located a few lockers back on the opposite wall, so he dashed over to it, gluing his face to the glass. He could barely believe his eyes.

Who would?

A black wolf streaked in front of a truck, and the dentist-office-y smell stabbed through the air. No... he thought. It can't be... But he instantly knew it had to be.

On complete instinct, he jerked the window open, using his superhuman strength to break the locks on it, then whipped off his jacket and dove right out the window. The scientists were already here, and would find him eventually anyway. He could save this Half.

Syvor knew it had to be another Half. He recognized the truck, and there were no random wolves around here anyway. He had the ability to save this person, and as it's stated in the Constitution, whoever has the ability to take action has the responsibility to take action. He fell head-first down the brick wall of the school, keeping his body perfectly aligned until his body told him he had to unfurl his wings. They opened through the slits in the back of his shirt (which are usually covered by his jacket) and caught the wind like a parachute, surging him upward and through the air. He didn't care if anyone saw. Besides, they'd probably seen this Black Wolf Half morph anyway.

He was nothing but a streak of red and brown in the sky, easily catching up with the truck. He beat his wings powerfully to hover himself over the truck, then surged forward and landed on one knee on the back of the truck, one hand down on it to keep his balance. He crawled to the front of the truck, then extended his fifteen-foot wingspan again and lunge over the windshield, landing on the hood. He didn't even stop to see the expression on the drivers' faces before he pulled back his fist, then hurled it at the windshield, shattering it with a satisfying crash. His knuckles were bloody, but he didn't care. His russet brown eyes that matched his wings were locked in a ferocious stance, and didn't change when he broke the windshield, hoping to make the driver lose control and veer the truck off course.
