Deadlock's heads looked at one another before finally nodding. "Alright, but be careful child, we don't want you getting hurt, healers are so important you know." said the blue head.

"See you later, wish you good scouting and safe return." said the red head as the three headed dragon left the cave.

Sora cringed at her burnt wing, she could still fly, but it hurt. "Deadlock used to be like that, before she lost her love and eggs." she said. "I can sympatize with her, I've suffered much the same loss...even still, her loss was even worse." she said. "Her love had the chance to end the war, if only the war would've left them be."

Saangi nodded, most of Sora's words flying right out of her other ear, not sticking in her mind. Her amber eyes focused a bit more as she looked at her godmother. "Do you think she heard anything, Sora?" Concern layered her voice, the heavy weight on her young shoulders growing a bit heavier. To her, she seemed to young to be responsible for all of this; her mother would be capable of it, she knew that. But her mother was dead, and she was the only spirit-walker left. And she was responsible for her friends' lives, and the fate of the Kaito and the Kuganati.

Slightly overwhelmed, Saangi sat down, her wings curling around her silver body. She cocked her head as she waited for Sora to answer, her tail twitching with an impatience to leave and the sick feeling of fear resting heavily in her stomach. She swallowed against her dry mouth, her amber eyes becoming unforcused again as she pondered what this journey could bring.

Sora laid down, her front legs around Saangi. She nuzzled her Goddaughter. "I don't know, but it's not like it'd make matters worse." she said. "If anything, Deadlock would try to protect someone as important as you." she explained. "Honey, I know your scared and nervious, you have every right to be." she explained. "But you're strong, I've seen that in you since the day you hatched, you can do this, I know you can."

Saangi found the comforting embrace soothing, and felt her pulse slow somewhat. She was surprised to feel herself pressing her slim body against Sora's larger one, longing for her warmth and comfort. The spirit-walker's eyes closed briefly, she felt them burn with emotion. While she could not cry, she certainly could smoke; which basically was a draconic form of tears and other emotions - a large amount of smoke coming from the nostrils or mouth.

This is what happened now, though it was only a small puff rather than a large stream. Even so, she was slightly embarrassed for her friends to see her like this. She was supposed to be the valiant spirit-walker, meant to lead them on a journey and possibly end the war; how could she do that when she was 'smoking' from stress and worry?

Sora saw this and huged her Goddaughter closer. "Saangi...don't be afraid, showing your emotions isn't something to be ashamed of." she said. "Emotions are something we all have, they're what makes us us." she explained. "Even I smoke from time to time." she said. "Remember when you had that awful fever two months ago? Do you remember anything from that time?" she asked. Sora had cared day and night for Saangi during that time, and a lot of smoke was shed over the little dragon by her Godmother.

Declan nearly jumped out of his scales when the three headed dragon tried to spew fire. But now that Deadlock was gone, he puffed out a relaxed breath. "Thanks Sora. Sorry..." He felt bad that Sora had protected him and gotten her wing burnt. But as Saangi layed on the cave ground, smoking, his eyes turned from apologetic to comforting. He felt a bit sorry for Saangi. Even though they (her friends) were going along to protect her, she probably felt like she had to protect them. The weight of everything seemed to be on her shoulders, and as Declan imagined how that would feel, he turned away for a moment. When he turned back towards the two, he walked towards them and layed down right beside Saangi. "Forgive me if it seems uncomfortable that I'm here so close, but I felt that you needed a hug." And with that, his right golden wing extended, pratically covering the spirit-walker's back in a comforting hug, or at least Declan hoped so.

Saangi may have found this embrace awkward under normal circumstances, but right now she was glad of it. These were, after all, not even close to normal circumstances.

Sorry, guys. I have immense writers' block.

And paused for Black Rose.

Ooc:// Sorry it took so long to reply. Really stressful couple of days. Thanks for waiting, ^^

Bic:// Diera smiled sincerely at the sentimental scene before her as Declan joined in Saangi and Sora's embrace. Pure happiness was not often seen on her face, so this was a rare occasion for Diera. After taking it in for a little while, she joined in one Saangi's other side. One of her wings wrapped around Saangi and laid across Declan's wing; the other was actually touching Saangi in an embrace and curled around the very end of Sora's wing.

At that moment, Diera knew that they had succeed. She would make sure of it. She would not let anyone come near Saangi during their journey, and that went for Sora and Declan as well since she knew that they would be busy watching over Saangi and forgetting about their own safetly. A protective wave of emotion washed over Diera, and she hugged them all closure.

Saangi let out another wisp of smoke, her eyes stinging as a reaction. She blinked, the amber depths hidden for only a moment. "Thanks guys," she said. Her voice was muffled slightly by her friends, but she didn't mind, not at all. She welcomed it; the comfort was needed, no matter how weak it made her seem.

After what seemed like endless moments, Saangi finally had to pull away. Her silver scales were growing heated from all of the warmth radiating off of the others, and she was on the verge of smoking a bit more. She flared her wings slightly, a movement that gestured for them to give her a bit of space.

Sora nodded. "Saangi...it's time I told you something..." she said. "I'm telling you this because...well, odds are Hisho is likely the one coming after you." she said. "...Hisho is the one who killed your mother." she explained. "It wasn't just any other member of that tribe, Hisho saw your mother as such a threat he came after her himself." she continued. "But there's more than that...before he lost his mind, Hisho was a good and noble dragon, and he held a love for your mother, after your father died in battle, Hisho began trying to get close to her...then something happened, Hisho's mind snapped, he became what he is now...and murdered the very one he once loved...a sad ending to what could've meant peace..."

Saangi knew her mother had been killed, of course. But she had never known who. Now that she did, she felt almost as if her blood was turning into icy slush in her veins, a mixture of burning rage and terror washing over her. She felt the insane urge to go after Hisho, to avenge her mother's death...but, no. That would be suicide, and she knew that the fate of the Kaito and Kuganati alike were resting on her silver wings. It was a heavy burden, but her friends would help take off some of the weight.

Finally pulling herself away from the wave of dark thoughts and turbulent emotions, Saangi merely blinked. There really was no action to justify the thoughts swirling inside of her right now, crashing against her mind in a muddled mess. "Wh-why didn't you tell me?!" she finally asked, ehr voice slightly hoarse. The words came out with only a slight stumble.

"All this time, you knew who killed my mother...but you never told me? I could've handled the news, Sora! Why? Why did you keep it from me?" Saangi's amber gaze pleaded to be answered. Under normal circumstances, she would go through a period of shock and anger, but knowing that her mother's killer was coming after her...it changed everything. Like said before, these were not normal circumstances.

((Finally! A not-lame post!))

"I didn't tell you...because your mother made me promise on her death bed to not to unless Hisho came after you." said Sora, clearly regretting having to tell her. "It was her final wish...because she loved Hisho back, the real Hisho." she said. "She didn't want her baby girl to hold a grudge against the dragon she loved, even when that dragon killed her." she explained. "She told me she was sure the old Hisho, the one she loved, was somewhere inside the twisted demon he's become..."

"Too bad that Hisho has little to no chance of coming out," Saangi murmured, the strong fire inside of her abating somewhat. Now that her anger has all but disappated, she was experiencing regret for the words that had spilled out of her. She had said them without thinking, and sounded nothing like the dragon she really was. And she hated that fact. Hisho was changing her life in more than oneway, apparently.

Saangi curled her wings around her, the translucent pinions brushing against the floor. She closed her amber eyes, absorbed in thought. Was there a way to bring out the "old Hisho" again? Or was he lost forever? She would've bet on the second one, but her mother had a good sense of judgement, and was sensitive to others feelings. She believed that if her mother thought good was inside of him, there had to be some light in his darkened mind.

Sora nodded, nuzzling her godchild. "I'm sorry I kept it from you..." she said. "You know I'd never do anything to hurt my baby if I could help it, I love you." she said. "I know I'm not your real mother, but I still consider you a daughter, I always will...that was another thing your mother made me promise...to take care of you like one of my own children." she explained, knowing this had to be hard on the little dragon. She didn't want it to be like this, she'd have avoided it if at all possible...sadly it wasn't.

At that, another wisp of smoke was elicited from Saangi. She inhaled sharply, her emotions threatening to spiral out of control...all of the recent events had thrown her mind into a state of disarray. "I love you too," she murmured, her amber eyes softening more. While all she wanted was fo rthis moment to last, she also knew she couldn't wait any longer to leave.

"...Sora? Could we - could we leave now? I don't think I can wait any longer, and I may not be as ready later," the spirit-walker said slowly.

Ooc:// Sorry it's so short. A couple more posts, and I'll pause for Black Rose and Hunter.
