When the bell wrong for the end of class, Cody looked at Fern and said "Well see you later beautiful." He got up, got his stuff, and left the class to go to his next one.

Elizabeth walked up to Fern and said "He sure is creepy." She shivered and said "He's been giving you glances all throughout class and it's screaming stalker."

Fern nodded was she gathered her books. "He does act pretty strange," she agreed.

Elizabeth shook her head and said "See. I told you didn't I."

"Yeah, yeah, you did," Fern said with a playful roll of her eyes.

Elizabeth smiled widely and said "You like him though. Don't you?"

Fern shrugged. "I dunno. He could be a friend, but nothing more at the moment."

Elizabeth arched an eyebrow and asked "Nothing more? What more could he be to you?"

"You know what I mean," Fern said. "Like, I don't know him well enough to date him. I just met him!"

Elizabeth giggled and said sarcastically "Fern has a boyfriend! Fern has a boyfriend!" She started walking out of the classroom and to her next class which wasn't the same as Fern's.

"Liz!" Fern shouted at her friends as she walked off. She rolled her eyes at the comment and headed to her locker.

Cody was at his locker getting his books for his next class when he heard Fern start to approach her locker quietly. He looked up at her and smiled. He asked "Why are we always bumping into each other for Fern?"

"I guess it just happens," Fern said, getting her things from her locker.

Cody smiled and said "You smell nice." He finished getting his books, shut his locker, walked over to Fern, bent down beside her, and took in a big sniff of her, and asked "Do you were perfume or something because you smell really good to me?"

"Um, yeah, a little," Fern said, going completely stiff with this strange new boy smelling her.

Cody chuckled to himself and asked into Fern's ear "What brand?"
