Dan scratched his ear."Dont know. In that weather, we had no way of knowing wich way to go. I couldnt even get any scent at all" This troubled him, since he knew that his heritage had allowed him a stronger sense of smell than most dogs.

"So we're lost?" It was a rhetorical question, Laika already knew the answer to that. "How are we going to find a way back? I don't think he can last long in caves." By 'he', the female husky was referring to their musher, Grant.

Dan looked to the back of the cave where Grant was huddled up with the rest of the team."Im not sure." He muttered."Let me check something." Dan walked the few steps to the mouth of the cave and closed his eyes, trying to take in any scent that could be in the air.

Dan scented the air for a while but found nothing of relevance."Nothing" he proclaimed."I didnt recognize anything substantial, only some foxes and perhaps a wolf or two some distance away." He stopped talking at the sight of a concentrated laika.

"Yes, I know how to hunt," she snapped, a bit offended by this comment. She had been a stray before Grant adopted her into the team, and had learned how to hunt and scavenge to survive.

Laika's accusing and insulted expression softened into something not quite so intimdating. She felt her face grow warmer at the pretty comment, and wondered what exactly he meant by that. She cleared her throat. "So now that we have that cleared up, are we going to go hunting, or not?"

Connor lazily turne his hea towards Laika"What?" he asked
Sara jerked her head up and looked around fo the source of the sudden noice, head-butting Cato in the process.
