Konan tilted his head slightly as he turned back in the direction he last saw Dark, he sighed realising his old pal would need some time to himself. He turned back to Laika, and noticed her facial expression when she mentioned her past. "Oh, I understand..With all the dangers out there, it's real difficult for a young pup to survive." Said Konan, not really understanding but just trying to make her feel a bit better. He himself was abandoned at the tender age of two months, and that was in Anchorage. He ran away from anchorage at the age of six months after all the teasing about being mostly wolf. When he ran away he had to face the dangers of the Alaskan wilderness all alone, no-one to guide the poor little guy. He almost would've froze if it weren't for a kind mother polar bear who took the half-dead pup and brought him back to full health. It was a miracle Konan survived to make it to nome, and it gave him goosebumps just thinking about his journey. "I was abandoned when I was real young and ran away from my old town. I still haven't found my parents and I wonder if they're alive or dead...I wonder if they're thinking about me sometimes, their only child." He said, not wanting to go into full detail, he didn't want to sound like he was complaining about his normal, yet rough puppyhood. Or at least..it was normal for someone like Konan who'd been through a lot of things like the journey to nome, the war between dogs and wolves, and other things.

Laika felt a burst of sympathy course through her at the last words in his sentence. She could relate somewhat to this, as she had often wondered the same things about her own parents, even if she wasn't an only pup. "If they are alive," she winced mentally at the 'if' "They probably are thinking about you. Only cruel and uncaring wolves wouldn't spare a thought about their pup."
