Soon, they reached the fast-ffod joint, and went inside. Shay inhaled deeply, overwhelmed by the scent of greasy, if savory, food. "Woah," she said as she exhaled, her wide eyes taking in detail. She turned to Hera, her face aglow. She didn't notice how tense Max and the Flock were, or how they were always looking behind them, checking to make sure they weren't in any danger.

What Shay lacked, Hera always made up for. Sighing, she whispered "Try not to look like such a foreigner." though it was more affectionate than anything, and came out rather sarcastically and was topped off with a smile.
Attention was the last thing they needed, though she had to admit the food smelled pretty good. She could certainly see where Shay was coming from.

"S'ok." Hera muttered. "I'm having enough trouble dealing with this development as it is though. From the cages, and experiments to this.... everything's going so fast." Her stomach grumbled, and the emptiness within her seemed like a gaping hole. She doubted what Max was ordering would be enough.

The food was soon ready, and the Flock sat down, Shay following eagerly. The hot food smelled delicious to her, even if it wasn't the best quality food out there. She breathed in deeply, her hadns hovering over a burger. "Dig in," Max said, through a mouthful of food she had already stuffed inside her mouth. Shay immediatly took this advice, taking a hesitant bite, than larger ones, until the burger was gone. In no way satisfied, she reached for some onion rings.

Hera ate her burger somewhat slowly, trying to savor it. When she had finished, the hole in her stomach was not quite as full as she would've liked, but she felt a good deal less nautious. To her relief, there were some onion rings, which she quickly gobbled down. Her stomach felt pleasantly full.

Hera scowled with distaste at the absence of the chicken sandwich. She had been hoping to eat it herself, but she wasn't so greedy as to take it from Shay. She reached for a small package of fries that had been overlooked, ate several, and then offered a few to Shay.

Shay had noticed Hera's scowl as she had grabbed the food, so shook her head, although she would gladly eat them. She sat back in her chair, her eyes practically closing halfway in contentment. She was fairly full, free, and surrounded by people who weren't eager to do experiments on her. With that thought, she looked aorund, silently berating herself for being so paranoid. But apparently, she was paranoid for a reason. A muscled figure watched them through a window, his gaze never wavering.
Shay sucked in a breath as she recognized him to be an Eraser, and she sat straight up, adrenaline coursing through her. "Max," she hissed. Max looked up in surprise, having been occupied with her large shake. "Look," Shay muttered, gesturing towards the window. Max didn't have a reaction as strong as Shay's, but her heart started racing. Gently, she kicked everyone's leg underneath the table, getting their attention. "After three seconds, you guys," she gestured towards Shay and Hera, "Leap over us and head out that fire exit. Nuge, Gazzy, Angel, you follow them." Shay nodded, her mouth dry. Nude took a sip of her shake, and Gazzy subtly stuffed a burger into his jacket, hoping to save it for later, when there was time to eat it. Soon, the three seconds were up, and Shay leapt up, waiting for Hera before actually running.

Hera felt somewhat bad for her reaction, and wished it had been more subtle. As she watched Shay's reaction as her eyes locked on the man however, she knew that she didn't have time for guilt. She shoved the packet of fries into her coat pocket, feeling somewhat ridiculous, but knowing that she'd probably need it later.
"An Eraser. So... obvious? But then, they never were very bright." she muttered, springing up to join Shay. Her wings rustled anxiously, as they always did when she was in trouble. Ignoring the sensation, she started running for the fire exit, making sure Shay was nearby.

They burst through he fire-exit, and Shay swallowed a cry of surprise as she ran into two Erasers blocking the exit. "Crap," she heard the Gasman mutter. Immediatly, she followed Nudge's lead as she kciked an Eraser squarely in the chest, his breath leaving him with an oof. Shay wasn't trained in fightong, but certainly could punch. She hit an Eraser in the jaw, wincing as she made impact, but following through with it. The Eraser stepped back, and wiped his face, glaring and growling at her. She saw the Gasman and Angel take to the air, and Shay tried to follow their lead, but an Eraser grabbed her arm as she spread her wings.

Hera had been somewhat behind Shay, and the Erasers had yet to notice her. Spreading her wings, she took flight, ramming straight into the Eraser and biting his arm so hard she drew blood. With a cry, he roughly dropped Shay's arm, and turned his attention to Hera, whose teeth were still dripping with blood.
"Crap." she muttered.

Shay took the oppurtunity to leap sright up. Flappin hard, she rose quickly. "Hera! Hurry," she said, mentally urging her friend to take flight before she was apprehended. Fang, Iggy, and Max soon busted out of the window on the side of the building, and Max muttered something under her breath at the sight of more Erasers. Something that probably wouldn't be smart to repeat.

Physically, Hera looked like a deer in the headlights. Mentally however, she was already mapping out a plan. Flying straight up wouldn't work, the Eraser would apprehend her if she jumped. After a split second, it all clicked into place, and she put her plan into action.
Spitting on the ground, she said "You taste disgusting."
Roaring in anger, the Eraser lunged at her, and as his hands closed on her ankles, she propelled herself up, grinning as she spiralled up into the sky.
