Mr. Brunned played with his thumbs then finally said "You are demigods,"He sighed.

"Wait,hold on a sec,"Benny said "What's a 'Demigod?'"

"A demigod is a son or daughter of the greek gods, and you both are the son and daughter of Hades one of the 'Big three'," Mr. Brunner explained This is bad He thought.

Benny just stared at Mr.Brunner.

"You have got to be kidding me," Shay said, her eyes wide as she stared at her Latin teacher. She couldn't get her mind around this; it had to be some sort of weird joke. But she saw the sincerity in her teacher's eyes, and her mouth gaped open fractionally. "You really aren't serious, are you?" she asked hoarsely.

Mr. Brunner nodded "Yes, I am serious." He replied

Benny gulped "Sooo,If where Demigods,do have like powers and stuff?" He asked

"And does that mean that monsters exist too? Like the Minotaur?" Shay asked, swallowing hard past her dry mouth.

Mr. Brunner nodded "Yes,yes they do," He replied gravely.

"Right," Shay swallowed. She found herself gripping her friend's hand, hoping to find some comfort in Benny's touch. This was a bit too much to comprehend all at once.

"So, I'm going to get to the point," Mr. Brunner said "I'm going to bring you to a place called Camp Half-Blood."

Benny felt Shay grip his hand,"So,Camp Half-Blood,is a place were people like us go?" he asked.

Mr. Brunner nodded "It will keep you safe from monsters, and harness your abilities."

"Where is...Camp Half-Blood?" Shay asked. "What about our parents?"

"It's just on the island of New York, and your parents already know about you, well at least you mothers does." Mr. Brunner said

"Wait, why only our mothers?" Benny asked.

"Because you are the son and daughter of Hades." Mr. Brunner said to both of them.

"Hades is the god of the...dead, right?" Shay asked, gripping Benny's hand alot harder. That wasn't her idea of a good father.

Mr. Brunner nodded "Yes." He said gravely.

Benny winced when she did.

Alright, Shay thought. I have a dad that can control zombies. Nothing weird about that...

Noticing Benny's wince, she loosened her grip somewhat, though she kept it in her grasp. "When do we leave? And how will we get there?"

Mr. Brunner simply said "Argus, and act like your sick, then I'll get you out of here."

"Argus?" Benny asked.

"Oh, Argus is our 'body guard'," Mr. Brunner said

"Is he human...uh, demigod?" Shay asked.

"He's immortal, we really aren't sure what he is." Mr. Brunner said.
