Rue looked at the dark landscape. "You'll have a hard time finding them right now," she said.

"Tuh, no kidding," Setsuko agreed. "Nonetheless, when they where my age they traveled the world together...in the middle of a war! I suppose you could say that surviving in the wilderness is in my blood. Plus, I have Jaci. He has amazing instincts!" Jaci mewled proudly at the praise.

"It's in my blood too," Rue said, getting comfortable in the large tree.

Setsuko smiled. "Cool. So, I've been blabbering on about me...what about you? Where are your parents?" She stared quizzically at Rue with her unique eyes...one silvery-gray, the other crystal blue.

"My parents are..." RUe frowned. "I don't remember," she said, her eyes narrowed in concentration.

Setsuko looked at Rue in confusion. Surly everyone knew who their parents were? But perhaps Rue was an orphan or something. Maybe her family was killed. Maybe she simply had a bad case of memory loss or hit her head to hard. In any situation, Setsuko had inherited her mother's sympathy and decided not to ask further questions on the matter...for now. Setsuko tuned to the horizon, where the sun was beginning to appear, a silver of orange surrounded by a coating of pink hues, slowly enlarging and rising into the indigo sky. Setsuko stood, balancing preciously on the branch. "Come on," She urged. "The sun is rising. Let's find somewhere to rest that isn't a tree." She twirled the staff which became her glider. "Jaci, huphup," She said. She had created the word based on her father's command, 'Yip yip,' which was used to make the old bison, Appa, fly. Of course, Jaci couldn't fly. 'Huphup' meant hang on to the back of Setsuko's gilder. And the lion did just that. Once he was settled, Setsuko leaped off the branch. The two sank a bit from Jaci's weight, but Setsuko tilted it up. They soared higher until it evened out, Jaci riding on the back, curved claws around the supportive wooden rods.

Rue leapt out of the tree after her, still trying to remember. Maybe the memories would come back tomorrow, they couldn't stay gone forever. Her tawny wings carried her up to Setsuko, still amazed to see her flying, with only something that looked a bit like a kite to hold her, and now her.....blue lion up above the ground. She scanned the forest floor for any signs of a good resting spot, although she personally didn't have a problem with trees, she liked sleeping in them.

Setsuko squinted at the land before them. "There's a clearing up there, by a lake," She reported to Rue over the wind. "Should we land there?" Jaci remained staring ahead nervously. The Blue Lion wasn't a fan of using the gilder, but he trusted Setsuko completely. Besides, he wouldn't be able to keep up with her if he were on land.

Rue's brown eyes quickly spotted what Setsuko was talking about, then looked back at Setsuko. "Yeah," she said, and angled her wings to glide downward. She pulled out the gentle dive, landing in the clearing, looking back up at Setsuko as he waited for her to land. Rue seemed to notice her clothes, they looked different, different from usual clothes.

Setsuko descended carefully; it was always harder with Jaci riding. Her toes skimmed the ground as she turned upright, supporting her feet with a light cushion of air. Jaci jumped off, landing nimbly on his feet just as all feline do. Setsuko twirled her gilder so it was a staff once again. The sun had risen much higher in the sky and she could see quite clearly now, for the first time getting a truly good look at Rue.

"Setsuko?" Rue asked, her eyes narrowed in confusion. "What's up with your clothes? No offence, but they look weird," she said.

"Tuh, look who's talking," Setsuko retorted, wiping dust off her blue fabric clothing. "You're shirt is way to short. And what kind of pants are those? They look...rough, kind of."

Rue looked at her clothes, confused. "My clothes are weird?" she repeated. "My skirt? This is a shirt," she said, emphasis on the 'sh' part. "And your's is way to long, who wears that anyway? Where are you from?" she asked, thinking it may be a foreign fashion or something.

"I said shirt, you just heard wrong," Setsuko reminded. "As for where I'm from, well, technically, I was born in the Southern Water Tribe, but like I mentioned before, I'm half Airbender. These are like Air Nomad's clothes, but with Water Tribe coloring. Pretty traditional, if you ask me. Where do you come from? I've been all over the world with my parents and I've never seen clothing like yours."

"I'm from," Rue hesitated, then the memory came back. "Arizona. I'm from Arizona. Wait, Water Tribe? I've never heard of that place before," she said, confused and creeped out. "And you've never seen clothes like mine?" she asked, a note of disbeleif in her voice. "I've never seen clothes like yours, and I've also traveled most of the world."
