Kio sighed and clenched his fist under the blanket, as if he was expecting an attack. Then, he let himself go loose and he threw the covers off of himself, coming face-to-face with the old man. "Before I tell you anything," Kio began, not quite whispering but not talking normally either, "You have to promise you won't tell Nearrah."

As Ralton brushed his horse down, he sensed a strange kind of scent in the air. He sniffed a bit, then widened his eyes and gasped, "Rath!" as he dropped the brush and re-saddled his horse. He jumped on sloppily and made Nexio break into a canter. He knew that if Rath was anywhere nearby, Zorra was there too, and those two mix like water and oil.

Zorra sat in wait on a few hills just outside Rath's camp. The rat... he was going to burn everything here and frame the noble. How original, very crude. She returned to Tornado's side and took out two knives and strapped them to her belt near her sword.

Mounting, she knew exactly what to do. "Keep it quiet, make it fast," she whispered and began the long journey around to the back side of their camp.

Grandfather raised a brow, here was no longer a kit he was raising... it was a full grown Fox. He nodded, holding up a knarled hand. "I swear."

Kio took in a deep breath and said this with tongue-twisting speed to get it overwith. "I found out Nearrah's secret and I know she's Zorra but I don't want her to know that I know but I think I love her!" With that, he threw the covers over his head and curled up into a ball underneath the sheets, waiting for the reply.

Ralton sped up his horse and remembered what Nearrah said about the Western Villages. He turned Nexio west and picked up speed until he saw a black fox on a black horse. He didn't make any sound until he caught up to Zorra, and even still, he whispered. "I don't want to intrude on your business but I just couldn't let you fight Rath alone." he then added with a smirk, "Deal with it, your dear old uncle's coming to help."

Zorra narrowed her eyes at her uncle. "I can handle it!" She circled Tornado around, "I'm not going to fight them. I'm just going to take the fight out of them."

"So... Nearrah got careless huh? How did you find out?" Grandfather asked, genuinely curious. "But as to loving her, I'm glad someone has. Nearrah tends to put off other males."

Ralton stopped Nexio, then turned and trotted back to behind a hill, just to be covered. Once she began to get reckless, he would rush in and take them down.

Kio lifted the covers a bit, just enough to see out. "She-she did?" he asked, astonished. "I mean, she's an amazing racer, and not bad looking at all, and I understand how a bunch of males would fall all over her, but she never liked a single one of them?" He found it impossible. Nearrah was very beautiful, and he thought that she would at least have a crush by now. "And about finding out." Kio continued, waving his finger, "She made an appearance and I recognized her voice, and Tornado. Then I got some information out of Ralton afterwards. That guy cracks like an egg, I tell you."

Grandfather laughed boisterously, "Ralton cracked huh? Well, he knows you so it's not surprising he cracked, my pesisstant kit." He ruffled his ears, getting up. "Nearrah's got a shell around her that she's had since she was a kit. Dont know why though... maybe that's just the way she is since she took up her duty."

He shrugged lightly, thinking it over.

Zorra crept around, taking torches and placing them in huge saddle bags. The rats aren't going to burn the villages down. And that was heavy on the 'rat.' Rath is a Rat Animalian.

She whistled lightly to Ralton. "Take Tornado to the higher hills in the west. I"ll meet up with you once I'm finished collecting."

Kio shrugged and said, "She never was the type to be 'dreaming about the hottie that sits behind her in English class'. But I'm glad about that, I guess." Then, with a suspicious face, he added, "I thought you weren't feeling well."

Ralton took hold of Tornado's reins without a sound, simply nodding in response to Zorra.

Grandfather gruffed, waving him off. "Dont get me wrong. I can move around but I'm tired. I have to go back to the Noble Houses for duty tonight." He stood up, brushing off his fur and went into the kitchen he sighed, breathing int he smell... his mate long gone still had her lingering odor.

My dear, the kits are growing again. I just wish you were here with me to share in it.

Zorra kept dodging soldiers every time she knicked their torches. So far so good...

"Men!" Dang it!
"Tonight, the Western Villages are our enemies! Take up your torches and burn them to the ground, do not kill though. Let this be a message to all Desert Region that Rath is the King they want!"

Show time!

Getting on a horse seh knicked and headed up the hills.

Ooc:// That Ralton is the king they want? I'm sorry but I'll post later, I have to finish something first.

(DANG IT! I did it again! I may have to change his name all together so I dont keep thinking 'Ralton >.<)

Kio smiled at his Grandfather's toughness, and he then let his head drop onto his makeshift pillow. "Please don't tell Nearrah," Kio pleaded to his Grandfather.

Grandfather bahs, "What's an old fool like me got to tell her anyway? I already got my wish: Grandkits." His eyes twinkled as he pulled out milk and meat. "Though Kio, she's not going to stick around forever."

Troops scattered around the tents, several complaining that torches were missing. Rath looked at his troops and snarled. "YOU CAME UNPREPARED!"

But he knew that wasnt teh case... there was a theif here in the villages.

Zorra placed the wood stratigically and grinned. "Alright uncle. Light her up!" There was one sign that spooked soldiers worst. Her Z. Zorra's mark of Protection.

Kio chuckled quietly and thought, Grandkits? You're getting way ahead of yourself. Still, Kio had always wanted a family. And then the last words his Grandfather spoke before he left the room was, "She's not going to stick around forever." and Kio knew it. He had waited long enough, and as much as he wanted to tell her how he felt, when the time came, it was so hard. I'll tell her on my birthday. Kio thought. That'll give me plenty of time to prepare for any reaction she could possibly dish out. He let his mind go blank as his eyelids suddenly seemed like they weighed two tons each. He allowed them to close and he drifted to sleep, awaiting Nearrah's return.

Ralton never was a hip guy. "What does 'light her up' mean?" he whispered. He felt like such an idiot. Still, he was an 'uncle', whether it was to a legendary hero or not.

Zorra chuckled, "Light the torches on fire."

Grandfather rubbed his chin, thinking things over as he took up his meal and a sack for his trip towards the Nobles... this wasnt going well. He knew Rath was plotting, but what and how long it would be in effect he didnt know.

He worried if his granddaughter would be strong enough to go through this stage in life. Would she survive?

Yes. He decided. Nearrah was strong in body and in spirit. It'll take alot to break her.

Ralton said embarrassingly, "Oh, right." as he rushed off to light the torches without stopping.
