Riley allowed Katie to grab her hand, still smiling, her eyes still having awe written all over them.

Riley spun, dragged by Katie's momentum. The world spun around her, blending together, colors and shapes blurring.

Riley stopped when Katie did, the world tilting around her, her head dizzy. "Maybe it's not," she agreed. "Who knows, maybe someone else suddenly entered the spirit world too, and made the Day of the Dead." she said hypothetically.

"I don't know," Riley said, suddenly consumed by curiousity. "Maybe they didn't come, maybe we did." she said, puzzled. A spirit floated near her, and she let it drift through her outstretched arm, feeling like a cool autumn breze was playing across her skin as it passed. She smiled as the sensation of awe and happiness filled her again. THis was so new. ANd so diferent.

"Is that a bad thing or a good thig?" Riley asked. THe spirits were awesome, no doubt, but the results on the whole, entire world could be catastrophic if the two world s did collide.

"THen let's hope that this means the world is not colliding with spirits," she said. Her hand went up to feel her pulse, realizing that they were in the spirit world. "OK, if we are in the spirit world, and it can't sustain life," she paused. "Does that mean we're dead, or atleast dying?" she asked.

Riley could feel her heart pounding from uderneath her fingers, and dropped her hand releived that she wasn't dead. Yet. "DO you think that this will keep happening?" she asked, worried. If it did, they would be dead before long. SO would everyone else in the world.

"Katoe, if it does keep happening, we need to stop it. THink about it, we have the life of billions on our shoulders," Riley said, the realization weighing on her shoudlers. Like this responsibility actually had weight.
