I stood up and managed to hobble overto him. I stared at him in wonder. So he did come for me! Or did he want something? "Um, Silversnow?" he started off, soundinng shy,"Um,I brought you some food. The dinner patrol came. And I hope your feeling better." I swear he was blushing. I started off saying,"Thanks David-" but he cut me off. He leaned in a bit closer. "And I think you're really pretty." I blushe and opened my mouth just as Nightstar came in looking dazed and giddy. I bet I looked the same. As David ran out, I glared at hewr reproachfully. She had to come in then?

"Er, hi," Nightstar said, self-conscious under he friend's menacing stare. "I, er, just wanted to let you know that the dinner patrol returned, er...well, looks like someone got you something, I'm just gonna...er...go eat now." Gee, stuttering. Just what she wanted. She ran out of Boulder's den towards the food, where Ohzu was waiting.

David was hidinig beside the den, in the brush. when Nightstar left, he walked in, looking shy and happy. Silversnow felt her expression change to match his. "So, as we were saying," David started. He dropped off, leaving silence. Go on, she thought. "Um, you are pretty, and I really like you." David said, stuttering a bit with nervousness. "I like you too Daviid," Silversnow said," and you're cute too." David's eyes brightened and he walked over to her, and sat down, letting her lean on him. They sat there in silence. Enjoying the feelilng they were both sharing and contented to mull over their thoughts.

Nightstar found Ohzu by the prey. "Hi Ohzu," She began nervously. "Oh, hi Nightstar," Ohzu replied, glancing up from his food. "Mind if I join you?" Nightstar continued. "Not at all!" the brown pup replied, golden eyes staring into Nightstar's blue.

Silversnow broke the silence. "Oh, I bet you haven't even eaten yet! Here, share mine!" "As long as you don't mind. Do you?" Silversnow shook her head, and David took a bite. Silversnow lowered her head and finished her meal with him. While eating there noses brushed on accident and they both smiled. They layed down together, Silversnow's head resting on David's flank, and let the content silence lull them into sleep.

Nightstar and Ohzu ate, and at one point, their muzzles bumped in the mess of the prey. Nightstar was for once glad her face was messy with prey-blood, for Ohzu could not see the blush that rushed to her face. When they finished eating Nightstar licked the prey-blood off her face. "B...bye, Ohzu," She said, slightly upset to leave. "Bye, Nightstar," Ohzu replied simply. Nightstar sighed as she trotted towards Boulder's den to see Silversnow. She stared hard at what was inside, mouth dropping.

Silversnow yawned and happened to glance at the door. Nightstar was there! She jumped up, waking up David who stood up beside her. She gave her a glare and Nightstar lowered her head, still surprised. "if you tell anyone," Silversnow whispered, leaning on david. David looked at her regretfully. "Silversnow, Nightstar, I-i- better go." He left the room as quickly as he dared. They glared for a while. Silversnow then layed down, suddenly tired. "You might as well come in," Silversnow said quietly.

"Silversnow!" Cried Nightstar, "You aren't even an apprentice! And you go doing....that??"

"We were just..." Silversnow faltered,"making friends?" She looked down, not meeting Nightstars gaze. All she did was go to sleep with a good ffriend! Didn't she?

"I didn't mean that you were doing...that thing," Said Nightstar, "But Silversnow, seriously! What's going on? Spill!"

"Well, you tell me." she said. "what were you doing?" her eyes narrowed. Her sentence turning into a suspicion. "If you tell me I'll tell you." she said defiantly raising her head to meet Nighstars eyes, her face full of suspicion.

"I was eating dinner!" Nightstar retorted, the word coming out a bit meaner than she had intended. "And then I came in here to talk to you, and see you with....him! Asleep!"

Silversnow was hurt. "Well, you didn't have to be mean." Silversnow looked down an said softly," I know I was asleep with him, it's just, oh Nightstar, I cant explainn. And you have no idea!" Silversnow looked up hopefully, looking for proof she wasn't mad. But something in her blue and black eyes told Silversnow she did understand. "You do know dont you'" she said, searching her face for hints,"with who though?"

"Wh...what?" Stuttered Nightstar nervously. She couldn't tell Silversnow about Ohzu...what would the silver pup say?

Silversnow's eyes narrowed. Why would her friend lie to her? "Just tell me,"she begged,"it can be our secret. I promise. Like your eyes and stars and me and David." "That is a secret right?"
