Jed looked behind him, wondering how Kiko had touched the stump of a tail he had left. Nonetheless, he bolted after another dog, feeling new energy pulse through his veins.

Jed stopped, grinning happily. What a game it had been!
Casey explained to his mom the dogs that had helped him find his dad. "They were really nice," He told her, "I want to see them again. And..." His voice dropped to and excited whisper, "I saw Uncle Jed!"

Kanti glanced at Coal and Casey. They where both resting. "Good," she thought to herself. Stepping as quietly as she knew how, she walked out the doggie-door. She was going to find her brother. She was going to find Jed.

ooc--I just realized that Jed thought "what a game it had been!" in 2 posts! Haha, whoops.
Jed laid down, resting his three useful legs. He took a deep breath, returning precious oxygen to his lungs.
Kanti sniffed, searching for Jed's scent. Ah-ha, there it was, though mingled with the scents of multiple others. The red hybrid followed the scent.
Coal awoke from rest. Casey was still by his side, but wait...where was Kanti? He glanced around, utterly confused.

Jed smiled back, and then his expression fell. He was exhausted, he now realized, after no longer running around.

She ran, Kanti did. She ran swiftly with light paws. Where had her brother gone? Surely the scent was becoming stronger by the moment. She slowed and took another great sniff, just to be sure she was going in the right direction.
