Russet froze there... he couldn't blink. He could barely hold onto life itself.

He hadn't hurt her had he? No.

He hadn't done anything life threatening, had he? No.

But yet... his mind was empty.

He couldn't find anything worth living if it meant he could never come very close to Delilah.

He tried to think of what life would be like without her. His midnight sky would have no moon to light his path again. He shivered, but remained wide-eyed and sick-looking on the ground.

"Mffhmmm..." he said, dillusional. He tried to pull himself together.... for her.

"Your brother- Julius, I mean... I can't... be... you." he said, some words missing in his sentence.

The warmth of Delilah's tongue brought back some life to Russet. "Thanks. I need you too. You're like the moon to me. Without you, I can't see the path in front of me. I howl for you every night. I hold you close to me. You're precious and you light the sky for me." She smiled a bit.

Russet chuckled. "That I do." he replied, his cool breath came out in puffs. Russet slipped out of Delilah's hold to look out the window. It was snowing, bugs globs of the mushy stuff fell down from the sky. "How is that possible? It was just fine when we were out." Then Russet remembered something. "Oh yeah, it Alaska, duh." he corrected.

Yeah, well you might have another son, thanks to me... Russet thought to himself.

He rolled his eyes. Was she always so 'in charge'?

He wrapped himself around Delilah, his body heat was like a sauna next to hers. He was used to having so much fur to keep warm that even the slightest fraction of cold was noticable.

He licked her softly, and grimaced. Yeah, well you might have another son, thanks to me... Another son. He shivered at the thought.

The position mad Russet stir and get up, out of discomfort.

"I just need a moment... alone." he said gruffly, out of character.
