The rottweilers turned their heads towards Kaito, with confused and annoyed looks on their faces.
"And who are you supposed to be?" the biggest rottweiler asked, turning away from Denya to face Kaito properly.

"I am the father or the young lady" said Kaito with a proud voice "So, if you go away I will not do anything to you but if you won't" he sighed "I think I'll have to use the mad method" he finished and looked at Denya "Den, come here, now!" and she fastly came on her father's side, behind him, looking at Chad

The rottweilers laughed, but then they finally left, still turning towards Chad.
"This ain't over yet, mutt" one of them growled, then they left. Chad looked after them, then turned towards Denya.
"Denya, are you all right?" he asked with a worried look on his face.

Denya looked at Chad "Yes, I'm okay...you? Does they hurt you?" and she walked towards him but Kaito stopped her "Who are you younger?" he asked with a cold expression on his face "His name is Chad and he's my friend" Denya answered for him "Well, he's not your friend if he let those rottweilers do something to you!" snarled Kaito, obviusly, worried for his daughter.

Chad was just about tell Denya he was fine, but then Kaito stepped in front of him, which made him look a little frigthened. He stepped a few steps back and pinned his ears down.
"I.. I was trying to defend her, sir, but the rottweilers knocked me down" he explained to Kaito, with a respecting tone in his voice because he didn't want any trouble.

Denya softly smiled, she really appreciated what Chad did, she knew the rottweilers were too strong for him but she owed him something for that "I see..." said Kaito, still cold "Well, now we have to go" and he walked away but then stopped "Denya, come one!" he shouted and Denya had to go with him "I'm sorry Chad..." she said and licked his nose, then she ran to her father, walking with her head down.

Chad blushed as Denya licked his nose, but was still sad that Denya had to go away. He looked after her with a sad look in his eyes, and pinned his ears down. Then, he lowered his head and started walking away...

"Dad...I-" Denya started to talk but Kaito interrupted her "Denya, how many times did I told you to not go in that part of the city? You know it's the rottweiler's territory! You know what can they do" he said "I know but we were going to the beach and that was the faster way to get there" she replied "I don't care if that was the faster, just don't go there!" he shouted, mad and worried at the same time

Chad was walking on the street, with his head lowered and ears pinned down. He couldn't stop thinking about Denya, and when he was thinking about her, he had a warm and soft feeling in his chest. It was a feeling Chad had never had before... It was love.

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" she said "But you are talking like it was Chad's fault, when he tried to protect me!" Kaito looked at her then said "Of course he tried to protect you, if he would run away he was a real coward!" Denya looked at her father with a mad expression and ran away, to her mother's home, leaving Kaito alone.

Chad went to the same alley he had the empty barrel on. He stood in front of the barrel for a moment, turning his head back towards the town, then he pinned his ears down and crawled himself inside the barrel. Chad laid himself down, laying his head on his front paws, and looked up to the sky taking a deep breath, and sighed heavily.

Denya ran to her mother's home, she was sure that Sidney would give her a good tip and she would explain why was Kaito so bad with Chad, so she arrived in front of the house but nobody was there, her mother and her owners were probably away and so, she walked to the beach where her grandpa was.

O.o I am SO sorry that I'm late, it's just that school's been killing me ;(

Chad was sleeping in his barrel, when he heard someone walking near the alley. He slowly opened his eyes, lifted his head and perked his ears up, but didn't see anyone. He turned his head, but when he turned back towards the alley, he saw the same rottweilers that had harassed him and Denya, standing in front of him.
"Whatta...?!" Chad gasped and was immidietally up on his feet.
"What do you want??"
"We have some undealed business with you, mutt" one of the rottweilers growled, lowering his voice in the end, and then, without a warning, they all lunged at Chad, tearing and biting him badly.

Denya couldn't hear what the rottweilers were doing to Chad because she was far from him, now she was arriving at her grandfather's Balto's boat, just to see and talk to him, she needed someone to talk with but her mother wasn't at home and so, she decided to talk to her beloved grandpa, like sometimes she did.
