Did the leader of the free world die or something? The return of the MESSIAH would not bring this much network coverage. LOLWUT. Previous to Jackson dying, he was a pedophile everyone made fun of. Now that he's dead he's some icon? That's crap. I'm not going to glorify a guy who molested kids. If he weren't famous, would we be doing the same thing? No! We'd be going "Good riddance, another child molester off the mortal coil, hope he's enjoying the fires of the underworld!" And I live in the Los Angeles area, I'm so sick of Michael Jackson coverage. I can't even go get cosplaying supplies because it's right by the Staples Center and I'll be beaten down by rabid fans. You know, millions of people die every day. Thousands in Africa die of preventable illnesses, children are being forced to work in mines, North Korea is waving their missiles around, and we're fighting a war. But hey, stop the world, Michael Jackson died! Quote: First off No RIP's from me.. personally I find it rather Annoying that everyone is acting like this guy is God.. or Immortal, guess what he wasn't.. he's a human just like the rest of us.. He is no different than you guys or me, he just happened to have More money..and could sing and dance.. nothing that special in my eyes, just tells you where the priorities of the world lies..
I agree with JC here, in the fact that theres been a bunch of celebrities die lately and none of their deaths caused this much of an uproar as this did. seriously people die everyday.
I'm really getting tired of not being able to watch normal television anymore cus of all the MJ stuff popping up every second.. I understand he was an "Icon" or whatever but I know of alot better Musicains and entertainers out there.. Is there really any Dire need to play his "Legacy" video 4 times a day everyday? Now I'm not trying to be harsh but I just felt the need to get that off my chest. Dunkin wins the thread.

But I don't think it was ever proven that MJ was a child-molester... Okay, I know MJ was very famous. He's an excellent singer and an amazing dancer. But I've never been a fan of him, and I am NOT going to start, just because he's dead. His death doesn't really effect me at all, to be honest. People die every day. But now the King of Pop (suddenly the most important person in the world) is dead, it's EVERYWHERE. on tv, in newspapers, in magazines, on the internet ... just can't get away from it. I mean, I really feel for his friends and family, and his fans of course. IT IS a bit of a shame, and he'll be missed by lots of people. But I'm just getting sick of seeing it everywhere. And you know what's really annoying? Before he died, people were all like "Ew I don't like Micheal jackson, he's a weirdo!" and now that he's dead, people are listening to his music and being like "Awww, I miss you MJ! RIP! *crycrycry*"

RIP! *crycrycry*" Yeah, that is REALLY annoying, alot of my pals at school used to tease MJ about being "all plastic" and they also used to make child-rape jokes involving MJ...I tell ya, that is disgusting..I'm a child myself (yes, I'm not afraid to admitt it, I'm 11) and I have never made any child-rape jokes, I find them sick and disgusting. Their lack of respect was disgraceful...but then when MJ died some of them were saying what a great person he was, some of them took all the jokes back and showed respect, and some of them continued making jokes, except this time they were making jokes about how he died, like this one.... Q: What did MJ say when he had his heart attack? A: He clutched his heart and said OWWWThat is one of the most disrespectful jokes I have heard yet, they tease him just because he has this 'owwww' thing he likes to do when he dances, they THINK he is a child raper, plastic surgery has made him white and he looks a little bit like a girl. I don't even know why they are my pals, they don't have respect for their elders or their friends. I just say 'Act your own age'. Anyways, MJ will be missed, but they don't have to keep REMINDING people of him, his life as a pop star, or his death...when Elvis Presley died, did they put it in the paper or the radio for a few weeks? No, they just had 1 R.I.P show and then left him alone...but suddenly MJ dies and everyone who hated him are now crying, fans gather and go to his grave, hoping to see their beloved pop star once more, the newspapers/magazines are now full of stuff about Mj's death, they have loads of tv shows about it and the internet is full of the 'MJ has died' crap.

People in Big Brother we're told about Michael Jackson's death yesterday. They were all shell shocked. To see MJ's final rehearsal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qE22UOlQts

Pff. I wasn't even alive at the time his music was SO BIG ZOMG! So all he ever was to me was public enemy number 1 cuz all I heard was really stupid things he did. I mean he wasn't a great to me and I really dont care that he died cuz... He was a weirdo Yeah and SURE he had great music but that was back in the day. What has he been doing these days that were SO GREAT? Nothing. If you grew up with his music then good for you. I didn't so, I really dont care. Dont go crying at me saying ''ZOMG KOLTON H8S MJ!!!11 LETS ALL YELL AT HIMMMMM *crycrycry*'' Sure the frist time they announced it was as caught of guard but I wasn't sad. He is not God. I even herd my radio station say ''The world stopped spinning..'' That's lame. Really really Lame.

Personally, I think now saying "RIP RIP RIP" is pushing it.
But honestly, people who think he's a "kiddy fiddler" are stupid. He was found "Not guilty". He NEVER had a childhood. So when the pressure was off him, he acted like a kid.
My music teacher (One of those who had tickets to one of his "This is it" concerts at the O2 in London) says that her friend had to look after her baby sister from the age of 7, and when her sister was 16, she turned really immature. If you take someone's childhood away, and then let them free, the'll be a child for almost the rest of their lives.

If you take someone's childhood away, and then let them free, the'll be a child for almost the rest of their lives. Well as I said earlier, no one can fault him for missing his childhood and wanting to have one (a lot more adults than would readily admit to it feel just the same way even if they DID have a childhood...they often dream of or wish they had a better one than they did, or want to relive it - part of the midlife crisis complex MANY adults face as they age). Jackson's problem, and the great stupidity of his actions with regard to those feelings, fell into two problem areas: 1. he did not keep it private enough (that Neverland thing, and his flaunting of a child-like personality well into adulthood); 2. Inviting unrelated, stranger children into his home to play with him and sleep in his bed with him. Molester or pedophile or not, that is completely and UTTERLY unacceptable, and devoid of any justifiable excuse. He took it too far. And he paid a price. Sadly, he paid far less of a price than less-famous men would have faced...or even the average Joe citizen (whose life would be totally destroyed by such things coming to light...even if that person were not a molester or pedophile in any way). Because of Jackson's fame and his money, and his cornball fans who'd forgive him ANY fault, he got a free pass on that. And he was pretty goddamned lucky too. Look at it from his point of view, at the age of 11-15 it's common to have sleep-overs, and that's why he did it. Because he preferred to be with kids rather then adults. Notice - He called it "Never-land", from Peter Pan? The boy who never grows.

Either I'm misunderstanding you, or that is an attempt to justify his actions. Truthfully, liking someone's work is fine, but it doesn't call for someone to try and justify one's dark/mysterious actions. I don't know about anyone else, but a true-to-heart fan would acknowledge someone's faults, not try to cover them up. Especially when something they do is unjustifiable. Maybe Jackson didn't have a childhood, but at what point does that become a crutch more than being a reason for his strangeness? Besides... there are many other people who barely have a childhood, and I highly doubt those people would have a similar personality as Jackson in their adult life. Of course the childhood thing is a reason for the way he was...but is that the only reason? Why is Jackson immune to the possibility that he might just be "screwed in the head", just like so many others that are occupying jail cells right now? And something I also don't really understand....If Jackson was truly innocent, why was a lawsuit paid off?
