Meh, I'll try again. If he doesn't win, Kaia will probably be his best friend and I might do something with them. Probably gonna try to find them mates. I'm not sure. Bio:

Name: Ion
Meaning: "God is gracious."
Age: 2
Gender: Male
Breed: Tri Color Border Collie (I have a real Border Collie, did you know?)

Personality: Ion is very honest and loyal. He's very spirited and kind-hearted. Ion loves his job and catches onto new things very quickly. He loves to please and is a very good listener. He loves to do things right the first time and if anyone is slacking, he'll help them pick up their slack. He's the helpful dog that's always ready to do work. Ion is a hard worker and makes sure things are done right. Ion is always there for others, and he can be quiet adventurous. Being (probably) the youngest on the team, he's very agile.

How they feel about being an army dog: Ion is very excited and wants to do his job in the best way he can. He'll try his best and he knows he'll get along with the team (hopefully). He's just ready to go, but he knows that it will be dangerous. He knows that he'll make it back. He'll do anything he can to make sure the mission is complete, even if it means death. He’s also very protective due to a tragic past.

History: Ion was born the sole survivor out of a litter of four, but when he was 1/2 a year, he started to make friends. He was very good at socializing and was very polite to those in authority over him. Then one night, while he was sleeping, his home was burnt down to cinders and he was the only one who had escaped. After he escaped, he longed for his family. Ion was the sole heir to his family, and he vowed to protect the ones he loved for that day on. He trained hard as a stray and strived to do better than any other dogs. He wanted to be the best there could be. People started to see this, and started to try and capture him, but he always got away. Until one day, a kind young lady gave him some food; he became very attached to her. Her husband saw Ion with her and started to treat him with kindness and respect. The man started to train the now 1 and ½ year old Ion and Ion passed every obstacle with speed and accuracy. What Ion didn’t know was that he was training to be an army dog. He eventually found out when he arrived to an army camp, half amused, half afraid. He got used to how things were done, and started to love the new place. He eventually meets Ty and the group.

I just found the design in an old character file...I modified it a bit and changed him ALOT!

Name: Kestrel

Nickname: Kes

Age: about 2

Gender: Male

Breed: Brindle Dutch Shepherd

Personality: Kestrel isn't a very talkitive dog, he usually prefers to use his actions instead of words in any situation. He usually doesn't show to many emotions such as being happy or joyful, he does though show emotions of being angry or destructive, if he gets mad he stays mad, usually holding a grudge. But all of these attributes don't make Kestrel unpopular, he actually is a very cool dog but doesn't let it get to his head, he keep a calm attitude and tries to act calm and cool in tight situations which is a really good thing for an army dog. Its very rare for Kestrel to open up to anyone and really only wags his tail or acts happy around very few dogs and his trainer. He uses very little words but does talk every now and then so he's not completely silent.

How they feel about being an army dog: Kestrel absouletly loves being an army dog! Even though he doesn't show it he actually enjoys his job alto and can't imagine himself doing anything else. But he does take his job very seriously and if you get in between him and his job he will get very protective. He does enjoy working with other dogs though. But Kestrel often says that he can't imagine himself doing anything else.

History: Kestrel was born into a litter of pure bred Dutch Shepherds. His whole litter was full of males and that caught some of the K-9 unit trainers eyes. So four of the six puppies were adopted, that left Kestrel and his younger brother Jay left in the litter. Jay got adopted into a loving family and didn't go into any army dog training after that. But Kestrel wanted to be an Army Dog more than anything else and his breeders kept trying to get him into the K-9 unit. But they had no luck, but they kept advertising about Kestrel until he was about 9 months old when a man that trained Scout dogs came to talk to them about Kestrel. Kestrel was bought by the man and soon started his training as a 'Scout'. A Scout is dog that trained to silently locate booby traps, bombs, or snipers. So Kestrel was trained to be silent on his feet but also be extremely vigilant and be aware of everythin around him. Kestrel was amazing from the start, he obeyed every command and has lightning fast reflexes, perfect for a Scout Dog. Kestrel began to develop amazing skills of sight, smell, and hearing. Kestrel excelled in his line of duty and thats how he came to be an Army Dog

Other: Kestrel wears a green army colored collar but I didn't put it into the picture. Also he got the scars on his muzzle from sniffing under rubble and it got scratched by a rusty metal pipe. And he got the two scars on his shoulder from when he was running out of a building just as a bomb when off, two shards of shrapnal peirced his shoulder, causing the two large scars.

Ion's double stripe on his back was inspired by my dog, he was the only one of his litter that had two stripes.

Breed: Koolie

Personality: Condescending and cunning, Cheryl is known to talk down to anyone she doesn't view as her equal (which happens to be everyone.) She knows how to weasel her way out of anything or how to pin the blame on someone else. She never admits she's wrong or takes responsibility for any of her actions; she justifies everything she does. She will talk back to superiors if she thinks her way of doing things is better. She gets upset when her homeland is criticized.

How they feel about being an army dog: When she was on her native country's side, she was just peachy. Now that she was confiscated and retrained by Americans, she's rather resentful. She is a wholehearted believer in Nazi nationalism, but the persecution bit of Nazism she's torn about and avoids the subject when questioned, although she knows full well what is going on.

History: Cheryl was part of a batch of Koolies that were given to Germany by Australia. She worked as a cadaver dog for the police in Berlin. Because of the tension in Germany, Cheryl had no shortage of jobs.

She was one of the lucky few who avoided attacking innocents as part of Nazi Germany's antisemitic rampage. She was restricted to search and rescue work, leaving the rest to the German Shepherds. But when Hitler was at his prime, she had a new task, riot control. She had to keep people away from the Chancellor and she took pride in her job, knowing she was helping the survival of a superior form of government.

When WWII rolled around, dogs were called upon to serve their country. Cheryl was handed the gruesome task for searching for bodies on the battlefield. In battle, her owner was killed and she ran in the opposite direction, right towards the Americans. Rather than killing an innocent animal, Cheryl was taken in and retrained. She still works as a cadaver dog. While in training, she met Ty and the others. There is tension because of nationalities, but Cheryl grudgingly accepts her comrades only to take a higher road.

Other: Cheryl speaks with a heavy German accent.
