Tess blushed a bit at the reactions to her words. First, there was Bolt. His neck turned towards her, he starred at her with confsuion on why she didnt get what he was saying. She rolled her eyes once she figured what Bolt was thinking. He msot likly figured she was 'just slow.' Tess HAD heard what he had said very clearly. But Bolt wasn't right about this female border collie. Nicki was. Her first opinion, the same as Bolt, of her being slow. The second opinion, was for maybe Tess wanted to brake the eerie silence. And than her third and last opinio- is that she was a farm dog and she had no idea what was going, seeming as they never have done this before. And that was right.

"Those men knew what they were doing. I can't pick up a trail."

"Obiously they knew what they were doing. What, do you think that they would just walts on in unprepared and beg up to come rip them to shreads?" Tess knew that wasn't the right think to say around Bolt, but she was talking to Arrow, seeming that was the male dog who had said the words about the men knowing what they were doing, and about that he wasn't able up a trail. She would of said much more about how much he was about his words. Though, she didnt want to rub it in and make him guilty at a time like this.

"Sorry for being late."

Tess watched slowly as Dragon, a black and white colored male McNab just 'waltsed on in', as Tess said earlier about the men. She snarled a bit at Dragon's attitude. He could of missed inportant information from Bolt! Then again, it wouldn't be very inportant to him or the others, seeming as most of them had no idea what he was talking about. Seriously, we are farm dogs, not sargents waiting to attack. But she could feel, as all the other dogs could to, that they wanted to get Hannah back. Even if it was the last thing they would in there lifetime.

"It's fine. But don't do it again."

Diffrent from Nicki, Tess thought it sounded nice and compassionete to the black and white McNab. Insted of yelling, screaming, and scolding him much harder, he said it nicely and soft. Tess was sure he was going to bit poor Dragon's head off (which he probably would in extreme cases! literily!)! She watched Dragon walk into place int eh line, before putting her attention back to Bolt, ignoring the dogs around her.

"Thank you, for those of you who have gathered. This should be a thing of inpluse, for if anyone calls for a meeting, everyone must gather around the one whom called. And, no more late arrivals, for if you are late you could of missed vital information about this mission. Am I clear?"

Tess starred at Bolt. Finally, he had used words that actully made sence to her, that way she would be able to respond to his actions, following along in this hurtfull little game.

"Now, as for a course of action, we will go after the van, even if it means we die trying. If you're willing to save Hannah, you will listen to my orders and you will give it all you've got. I don't want any lazy curs tagging along. If you have the slightest idea that you don't want to risk your life saving the human you love, I suggest you get up and leave now."

Tess couldnt even bare of the thought of abondening her human at a time like this! She loved Hannah more than anything in the world. If Hannah was gone, who would want them? No one. They were just farm dog ready to risk thre life for a two legged, good for nothing creature. But Hannah wasn't like that. She was there friend for life, no matter what the consaquences. And this was just the beginning of a great adventure.

Arrow ignored Tess's reply he glared at his Paws, His black fur bristled as he fumed silently. He looked back up at the female "Well, If you think you could do better" he snarled hardly taking in anything Bolt had said. He glared round, knowing about his lack of popularity with the farm dogs "Anyone else got anything to Say about what I just said?" he growled, He knew it wasn't the right thing at a time like this but he couldn't control his temper. His gaze lingered for a second longer on Nicki, Passing swiftly ovcer Bolt.

Eventually The young male stood up, He realised it was obvious the men knew what they were doing and he couldn't help feeling stupid. He looked away "I'm gonna find Theron" he said in a half snarl "If trheres no objections" his tone clearly indicayed he didn't care if there were. He trotted off without another word, I can't abandon Hannah he thought, But in realit he was too cowardly to do anything else.

The window Theron was looking out of was slightly open, and the voices floated down to his ears over the crisp cool air.

"Umm...so, what are we supposed to be doing...Bolt?"

Theron snorted quietly to himself. The stupid farm dog didn't know what he was talking about, she never knew what anyone was talking about. She was only a farm dog with very little brain it seemed, and at this thought Theron chuckled inwardly to himself. He could see everyone's reactions, Bolt was staring at the stupid little collie blankly, Nikki growling at her, and Tess standing there awkwardly blushing.

"Those men knew what they were doing. I can't pick up a trail."

Who on Earth knows how to track a car here, they looked like they were heading into town and there are TONS or cars there, how would you tell the difference Theron thought at this comment. Arrow was as stupid as Tess, how could he hope to track a car. Humans were easy, they had different scents, but cars were just lumps of metal which spewed out thick black smoke which tasted disgusting and make you feel like you were dying from having to cough so much.

"Sorry for being late"

Theron turned his head so he could see this new speaker, it was Dragon. Theron hadn't talked to Dragon much, he barely talked to anyone, but he hardly ever saw Dragon. The McNab didn't seem to mind that he was late, he didn't blush or mumble awkwardly, he strutted in as if he was early and everyone else was late.

"It's fine. But don't do it again."

Theron noticed the almost fatherly tone in Bolt's voice, maybe the dog did show some compassion after all, but that still didn't make up for the fact that he had seen him kill a man in cold blood. Nothing could make up for that. He sighed, nothing important had been said so far and he was tempted to walk away from the window, curl up and go to sleep, but a sudden snarl echoed around the silent farm. Both Bolt and Nikki looked extremely agitated about something, and Theron felt himself cower slightly. It's me that's the problem, they are going to kill me if I go out there, I don't really want to die he thought, his mind filled with fear. He didn't listen to the rest of what Bolt said, it was something about the mission, but he wasn't going to go with them, they would kill him, or hurt him badly if he he did.

((OoC:: i got internetz back love ^^ ))

Syanne rested her auburn haunches on the gravel road as she listened quietly to Bolt. Her auds flicked every so randomly as she remained silent. Her whiskers barely moving aswell as she looked to Dragon, passing him a quick smile before looking back to the other dogs. Her eyelids hazily covered her left eye as she took in everything Bolt was speaking through his maw.

"as for a course of action, we will go after the van, even if it means we die trying. If you're willing to save Hannah, you will listen to my orders and you will give it all you've got. I don't want any lazy curs tagging along"

Her ears rose up to these words as she narrowed her eyes again and looked around to see if everyone was on the same page. She would rick anything for her owner for who they all loved fondly. Her tail began to wag furiously as she stood up, a new soft, yet viewable gleam was born into her light colored golden eyes as she smiled determinedly. Letting her lips part as she almost whispered the following words. "She.. is worth.. every ounce of our hope, and our determination.." She said this slowly, looking to most of the dogs as she spoke, letting her words sink in with the deep meaning that was held behind them. Her ears rose forward as she took a more approachable stance, something rare for this most silent cow dog.

Everyone seemed to be listening intently to his words, absorbing the information that would be their journey. It was a good thing that these farm dogs wree bred to listen to orders without much trouble, for if they chose to do things their way the farmer would surely sell the dog, or worse; kill it. This lightened the load on Bolt's shoulders as he watched the group's expressions harden with kowledge and understanding, and the war dog couldn't help but feel a hint of pride.

Upon looking at the gathered dogs, his icy-blue optics suddenly stopped dead on Nicole. They were attracted to her not only because she was a female, but because his mind felt that she looked so familiar to him, like of a past memory.

'Felicity...' Bolt whispered to himself, his eyes softening and his heart aching. His gaze slowly slid to the ground in front of the female, making him look as if he were looking at nothing in particular, which was exactly what he was doing. Wishing to see his beloved again, he longingly looked back towards Nikki, whom looked just as pissed as he did earlier. Bolt suddenly thought she looked kind of cute when she was angry, and he suddenly lost himself.

Eventually the war dog was lost in thought, and was completely oblivious to Tess's remark towards Arrow. He was so out of it that his body was slowly leaning forward, and just at the point when the majority of his body weight leaned forward, nearly causing him to fall over, the white mutt jerked himself back into a straight sitting position, his ears pointed up and forward, his attention re-focusing on the audiance before him.

"Anyone else got anything to Say about what I just said?"

Cold blue eyes slid straight towards the young mutt, whom looked at Nikki with a glare. It eventually fell upon Bolt himself, in which he only stared straight back with such intensity. Clearly he missed something that was causing tension within the group, and he cursed to himself for being so foolish.

"Love is weakness, especially in war." The ivory canine reminded himself, thinking back on that unfortunate day; Felicity's death. When Bolt had found out that his love had died on the battlefield, he felt as if his heart had been pierced with a million bullets. Depression followed shortly after, causing Bolt to think such gloomy thoughts, such as comitting suicide. He had no reason to live anymore, that is until he was shipped here, to an iscolated ranch in Oklahoma, of all places. At least now he had other things to keep his mind occupied, but it seemed as though his past was beginning to creep back into his mind, slowly driving him insane.

"I'm gonna find Theron. If trheres no objections."

Bolt, still looking at Arrow with a hard stare merely nodded, giving him the "okay" to go find the dog whom had mysteriously bitten him when he was completely vulnerable. At least now he knew someone other than himself was wondering where the male Border Collie was hidding.

Looking around the gathered dogs, he noted the diverse amount of expressions present. Nikki and Tess had a determined glint in their eyes, while Dragon seemed to be a little hesitant. Bolt thought it only natural for the McNabb, for watching him even for the few minutes in meeting him the war dog assumed as much of a reaction. No matter, he still hasn't spoken up about staying here. Then came Syanne, whom was also a bit timid. Though when she stood up, her tail a wag, Bolt could only smirk with pleasure.

"She.. is worth.. every ounce of our hope, and our determination.."

The war dog gave a nod of approval, glad to see that these mere farm dogs were so determined to find their master and live happily after this whole ordeal is over. With that, Bolt took a step forward, asserting his dominance and authority before breaking the silence.

"Very well. As of tonight, right now, we search for that van and rescue Hannah." His voice was strong and clear, and he looked around the group of dogs to make sure they were still listening and not dividing their attention because of anxiety. "Let's head towards the city, by the low intensity of the fumes from the vehicle they may have stopped to get gasoline to drive to their final destination. I want everyone in groups of two when traveling, it ensures everyone's safety and makes it easier to travel." Once again he gazed at the gathered canines to analyze whom should be paired with who. "Syanne, you and Dragon will be one pair. Tess and Luke will be another pair. Nicole." He paused, looked down at her. "You and I will be a pair."

There was something in his eyes that made it seem like Bolt had gone soft towards the female. He claimed it to be that it was only his imagination that she looked so much like Felicity, and that was mainly the cause. Bolt had no serious feelings towards anyone, he had lost interest ever since he lost his mate-to-be. Although, with everything that has happened, it sure looked as though he had a thing for Nikki.

Theron was not forgotten, Bolt had assumed he would take the rear with Arrow, keeping well away from the war dog and the others. It was probably best that way, for tensions could rise and cause the whole mission to crumble. He waited for Arrow to return with news about Theron, but with time already wasted, Bolt had signaled everyone else to follow with the flick of his raised tail. Heading down the dirt road that lead up to the ranch towards the fence that bordered the property, the dogs wre on their way to rescue Hannah.

Arrow started trying o pick up Therons scent, And smiled when He found it. He heard Bolts statements:

"Let's head towards the city, by the low intensity of the fumes from the vehicle they may have stopped to get gasoline to drive to their final destination. I want everyone in groups of two when traveling, it ensures everyone's safety and makes it easier to travel."

"Tell us something we don't know" muttered Arrow, still trying to focus on Theron but failing. He couldn't help lisening to what Bolt said after that:

"Syanne, you and Dragon will be one pair. Tess and Luke will be another pair. Nicole. You and I will be a pair."

It took Arrow a moment to comprehend what had just been said. He growled slightly "And I get suck with Theron" he added in a whisper. His frustraion was mounting, He finnaly followed the scent to the dining room and saw Theron. He walked up o the male collie and rolled his eyes "We're moving off Theron" he said in an almost cold tone. His eye swept the room as he looked for any sign of the original fight, His Back tingled again.

He sat down and scratched one of his ears before shaking his head. The mongrels gaze fell upon THeron again "We could do things without Bolt" he added, Knowing already him and Theron had a shared dislike for he albino canine. He looked out of the window to seee them setting off "Or you could Stay here and be more cowaredly than Me, and thats saying alo" he added. He met he collies eyes "So, Do we find Hanna or sit here and let Bolt get all the glory?" he asked finnaly.

Theron had been worrying about going out to himself, the group was going to head off soon and he didn't want to be stuck here by himself, it would be cowardly and if the humans came back, dangerous. He jumped as Arrow walked in a spoke.

"We're moving off Theron."

'I can't come, did you see Bolt, he was growling about me and I wasn't even there, he will rip me apart if I go outside' he muttered, his voice full of fear and anger and how Bolt was managing to control his life. I can't be kept out of my own garden Theron thought bitterly, it was ridiculous what was happening, and he was beginning to wish he had done that day differently, to start it over again. He stopped to listen to what Arrow was saying, it seemed that Arrow now shared his dislike of the war dog, and as he sat down to scratch he made it very clear.

"We could do things without Bolt."

Theron thought for a moment, did he mean go after the men who took Hannah. It was risky but if they rescued her first then it would show the others that Bolt wasn't so great. For once he would be the hero, for the first time ever the dogs on the farm might look at his with respect and talk nicely to him rather than growl whenever they thought of him. 'Yeh, we could couldn't we, like rescue Hannah, that would show them' he said, his voice slightly happier and louder than before. It was Arrow's last sentence that really decided what to do for him.

"So, do we find Hannah or sit here and let Bolt get all the glory?"

Theron wanted to bark his head off in agreement to the statement, what it meant, and howl his anger at what would happen if they did just sit there. 'H*** yeh, let's go' he said instead, leaping to his feet, his eyes burning with renewed fire and energy. He wasn't thinking clearly enough to come up with a plan, but he was thinkign clearly enough to know that if they were caught then it was game over before they even started. 'We have to get out before they see us or come looking for us, we need to head into town' he said, lowering his voice slightly in case they were heard.

Tess seemed ready to strike. She never had gave up on Hannah, and she wouldnt do it today. She looked around at the many eyes starring up at Bolt, as she saw him as well. Many of the dogs had just thought Bolt was a dog who just wanted to spotlight, to be a hero. But maybe they were wrong.

"Very well. As of tonight, right now, we search for that van and rescue Hannah."

Tess has heard this statement of Bolt's, as her ears were ready to listen.

"Let's head towards the city, by the low intensity of the fumes from the vehicle they may have stopped to get gasoline to drive to their final destination. I want everyone in groups of two when traveling, it ensures everyone's safety and makes it easier to travel."

Bolt once again spoke up with instructions in which they were suspost to follow. Tess rolled her eyes at the part when you have to have a 'partner' to travel with.

"Syanne, you and Dragon will be one pair. Tess and Luke will be another pair. Nicole. You and I will be a pair."

Tess rolled her eyes once more, and trotted over to Luke, sitting beside him.

"Syanne, you and Dragon will be one pair"

Syanne nodded slowly to Bolt before looking over to Dragon trotting twoards her with a smile. She looked to the others paired off and curled her tail slowly as she followed after Dragon and bolt quietly. Her ears remained pushed forward against her head as she looked about thier trail. Her eyes round as she registered the sights quietly before hearing Dragon bark and suddenly lunge away. "Huh?" She looked up to him as she was able to grasp his frame running.

Her ears swirved forward curiously with a light chuckle, his particular personality was cute to her appeal. " What are you doing?" She said, asking as she followed after him, her tail swaying with small wags as her eyes shimmered with more curiousity. Her talons scraping against the gravel word as she looked back to the other groups behind her before chasing after Dragon, head lowered as she angled her frame smartly after Dragon's darker frame.

He hadn't looked back to see whether or not the others had buddied up with their assigned partners and began trekking after him, or if they liked their buddies or not, because he knew that if they were more determined to save Hannah more than putting up with an obnoxious companion they would most certainly follow without much protest. Though with such a lively and rebellious group it was possible that someone would revolt.

Bolt was oblivious to Arrow and theron's devious plans, however he was on high alert nonetheless. He had a hunch that the male border collie was forming up a plot to humiliate the war dog in some way that Bolt himself couldn't place. The reason was unknown as to the reason why, but the white canine suddenly realized that Arrow hadn't returned after looking for Theron.

'He's probably still looking for the coward.' Bolt told himself, knowing Arrow would never plot against someone such as him. Or so he thought.

In the background the hybrid could hear faint traces of conversation among the dogs finding their partners. He couldn't place who said what or who exactly was speaking, but the constant talking was begining to boil his temper. His pace quickened, and in no time his partner, Nicole, was at his side. Icy-blue optics slid to his right just in time to see her smile, one that held deep emotion and meaning. Bolt could read the expression on her delicate facade, and nodded, reassuring Nikki that he, too, trusted her, and everyone else, with all his heart; even though he barely even met everyone.

Nicole then looked straight ahead, and as his eyes focused dead ahead, Bolt noticed the ranch gate. This was it, the boundary that made a sense of security for the dogs and livestock that lived on Timber Ridge Ranch. Once crossing over there was no turning back. Once close enough, the war dog effortlessly jumped over the black metal gate before landing on teh other side, his eyes sparkling with zest. Now that he was on the other side Bolt was completely aware of the change in atmosphere; it no longer felt as safe as the ranch property; then again Bolt grew to realize that no one place was truely safe. He looked over his left shoulder towards the remainder of the dogs as they approached the gate, waiting to see if they were truely dedicated to the mission and their master, Hannah.

With time wasting, Bolt slowly began to make his way down the dirt road that lead to the concrete road of the city just a mile away. He had no intention of heading off without waiting for the others, he was actually testing them. If they could keep up with his pace without trouble, and complaining, they would prove themselves worthy of working with in the mission. He didn't want any pansies tagging along, complaining that he or she was too tired to go on, or too hungry or thirsty. If they want to be soldiers they must act like soldiers; that's the only way to find Hannah and rescue her. Bolt knew it would take time for the ranch dogs to adjust to the life of a soldier, they wouldn't catch on with the first try at climbing over large obstacles or jumping over barbed-wire fences. It takes skill and plenty of training, and if the mission calls for it Bolt would settle everyone down every once in a while during their journey to start training sessions. If it was necessary, it had to be done.

After walking a few feet away, perhaps a meter away from the ranch gate, Bolt turned his cranium to see who was bold enough to take the leap of faith and who would stay behind.
