Have someone shoot Stella and EAT her.
Have more of Kodi and Dusty.
More Jenna.
Bring back the original trio... And Steele.
KILL STELLA!!!!
Maybe have Saba and Dingo. As well as the other two pups.
Maybe bring Aleu back for a short while.
Muk and Luk need a real family with polar bears. They should get one.
Boil Stella in hot water and feed her to Simba...lol...
The animation could have been better. I would have changed that.
And yeah. That's all I would have changed....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's Burn Stella At The Stake!!!!!!

Okay, so I have some Ideas on how the movie would be better, but I also have a new beginning for it: fade in on Aleu, howling in her new home, then fade out, then start with the mail dogs.............Also:

1. Stella gets kicked out of the whole film. I personally hated her, and the idea of Balto having HER for a sort-of-mother gives me the chills.......

2. The jazzy music's gotta go. It doesn't go with the original Balto music.

3.muk and Luk get less screentime. They didn't play as much of a role as they did in Baltos 1 and 2, so why bother?

4.The extra screentime from Muk and luk goes to Kodi. Kodi played more of a part then Muk and Luk did, so why is the camera more on the polar bears then him?

5. Dusty and Kodi at least try to make a relashionship. I don't think they have to...................not yet...........

6. Try to add more of Dusty and Kodi, and less of Duke.

7. Aniu should be seen oftentimes through the movie, even if it's just two or three times.

8. Check on Saba, Dingo, and name the last two pups. Hey, they want time in the limelight, too!

There's something about the plot that makes it seem a little boring and childish. In Balto 1, it was about defying the odds and saving the children's lives. In Balto 2, it was more of a spiritual journey, but there was always a mood of threat that hung around. Maybe Wings of Change would have been more exciting if there was more at stake than just the dogs' jobs.

Oh, God, this topic is too good to be true! But Im gonna post anyway.

What would I change...

1) The animation: It was indeed better than WQ's animation, but it still didn't NEARLY match the first movie. (my philosophy is, if *I* can keep the original style, PROFESSIONALS can keep the original style) I wouldn't really change the backgrounds tho, I thought they were very beautiful, even if they weren't hand-painted. So, I would've hired better animators, at least ones who really respect the old style.

2) The plotline: the third movie pretty much lacked an interesting plotline at all. They didn't really make the dogs losing their jobs a bigger deal than it should have been. I understand that it's a kid's movie, but in real life at that time the dogs would have been transferred all over the place and separated and abused and whatnot. But really that much danger for the dogs can amount to the same amount of danger in the first movie, and still make it viewable for children. So, I would give it a more interesting and realistic plotline.

3) The action: This movie had next to zero action, and it needed it badly. Without action, a movie is just plain boring. The characters lives were in danger half of the time, and they treated it like a big joke. If kids see their favorite hero Balto swimming in a fast running current of a river and fun jazzy music in the background is playing, they're gonna think it's totally safe to jump in a fast current. And also coming in contact with the moose for Balto was a big joke too. Balto didn't get tossed around or anything. He didn't even fight back. But he still lived! What's that gonna tell kids? So, I would endanger the characters' lives.

4) The new characters: Kodi's personality was far too boring for me. He was way too goody-goody and I think making him a very cocky character would've sufficed as interesting, but they didn't even do that (id give him more father/son screentime too). His beginner's optimism is way overused and was extremely irritable. The new trio (Kirby, Ralph and Dusty) weren't all too enjoyable either. The typical "peer pressure" symbol. But the worst of them all was definately Stella. No one really cares about Boris' love life. No one wants to see an old guy "getting in the pink" over someone. No one. Cares. Stella was just a little fluzy and an annoying one at that. She made me understand why men can't deal with "women with attitude." She was mouthy, egotistical, and just an all out bitch. I didn't like her. Even when she was nice, she was just a sl** Realistically, I would not make Kodi gay, no matter how much I think he is. I'm trying to still stay along the lines of this being a kid's movie, but I would make his character more interesting, along with the trio. And I would just get rid of Stella altogether.

5) The music: I thought the music and characters singing, for this particular film, was very unnecessary. Anything the characters sang, they could have just said it in a normal tone of voice. No annoying music, no cheesy lyrics, no stupid background singing geese. But just to stay with tradition, Balto 1 wasn't a musical, Balto 3 shouldn't be a musical. End of story. So, I would put in zero musical sequences for the characters themselves to sing.

6) The romance: I would've definately added more romance scenes with Dusty and Ralph, just to show everyone watching that Kodi and Dusty had nothing going on. I wouldn't care if it strays from the storyline or takes up too much time, it needed to be done. And also add more screen time between Balto and Jenna. They like...pretended to love each other in this movie. There was no longer a spark between them like ion the first movie.

7) The old characters: I would give more history as to what happened to characters that were no longer making an appearance. Like Steele, and Balto's other pups and whatnot. What happened to them? We don't know. And it's very irritating. Sure it leaves open fanfiction, but there's already enough room for it. Stop leaving people in the dark! And I'd make the old characters act like their old selves again, especially Jenna Muk and Luk.

8) The humor: Sure, some humor was ok, but there was not enough of it for the adults. There NEEDS to be adult humor in kids' movies so that it IS enjoyable for the WHOLE family. Yes, I know, kids shouldnt be exposed to adult humor. Make it discreet, and if they're NOT exposed to it every day of their lives, they won;t understand it anyway! So I would add more adult humor in it. Just making it a bit "less' for kids altogether. It needed to be done.

There are many many MANY other things I would change, but I can't think of anymore at the moment.

Man, I wish the makers of B3 had Cat on their team, the things you said would've made it cool, I was cringing when I watched it the other day and the river scene was hideous.

If only things were different, *sigh*, I'd change all the stuff you said Cat, but probably not as well detailed as you were.

Drawings and animating is a totally different thing, I think the biggest problem is there...

They ARE hand painted, for 95% of them. There are only 3D elements in some scenes, or when the camera moves around.

That's something the members who write fanfics don't seem to consider when they say the plotlines in the sequels are bad. Why do you think there are more and more PG-13 or M rated fanfics? Because it's much more difficult to make a G rated story.

Err...I care, and they are not THAT old.

One of the three songs is a background song, and the Jenna song wasn't bad at all. But the Stella song was really unnecessary.

Unfortunately, the current Universal managers force the film directors to include at least three songs in their films. (DWK the associate producer said it)

Nononono. Im very well aware of the fact that drawing and animating are different. I do both, and yet I STILL keep the style. I find it embarrassing for them, actually, not to sound cocky, but who's the professional? Not me, obviously, but compairing my budget with theirs, I still think I do a better job at both keeping the style AND proper anatomy of the animals. Yes, animating is hard, Im not saying it's pie, but they're the professionals here.

If people put enough thought into it, it really isnt that hard. I just prefer it as not my thing to write G-rated stories, but I could if I really wanted to. I've seen ALOT of G-rated movies (from both big and small movie-making companies) get away with lots of things (and i am taking G-rated movies of today into consideration) and there's really no reason why they can't. A little action and mild humor in a movie never killed anyone, therefore it will make it more enjoyable for everyone.

Well (in my personal opinion [i have to keep putting that, else i get flamed to death) that is just a ridiculous requirement

And I did not know that. Mixing the character in with the background makes it look alot like computer graphics.

Wow,Yes I agree with WhiteWolf,if Cat would be in the team,Balto3 would be so populated and well known, and would be more "Disney stylish"!Really cool.

To be honest with you, I haven't seen Balto III but I would change some things I've heard so far.

1. Introduce more characters from Balto's family.
2. Actually think of better characters and devolopement.
3. Make some of the characters better looking. (I.e Boris and the polar bears looked horrid).

The idea for G rated movie is that they make simple, humrous, and a bit excitement. It's much easier to make a "Darker" tone to stories.

Like snow dogs, that movie isn't serious at all, it's everything (humor, and action) that a chaild or an adult wold enjoy, sure I know the sled dog/dog handling skills are just dumb. Chidren want simple. funny, charecters and concepts they can understand (In humor and action).

Sometimes, Fics are Darker and gross compared to the film.

Stella would be the first one to go, after that, maybe Mel and Dipsy.
Have more scenes with Kodi.
Have Balto's original voice.
Replace the "jazz" music with music more like the orginal Balto.
Show less of Duke, and possibly Muk and Luk.

Balto 3 was one of those films I have to admit just wasn't my thing.

If I went around changing things it wouldn't be 'balto 3' as we know it much at all.

but eh, more Kodi is one thing *lol*
