Daiku shrugged his shoulders, "I have no idea. I'm unaware of it myself. It's possible it has to do something with Kyluka's passing." He sighed when he remembered that his mother had died recently and his ears drooped, "I stil miss her..."

Xinal noticed Daiku's crest fallen face. "Let it go." Xinal said trying his best to comfort him. "Every one has their time." Deep down he felt angry at himself. "And time will never," his voiice started to crack with something else, sadness, "give us a chance to say goodbye or go stop in order to do so." He hated himself for being so hypocritical at this moment. Telling someone to let go of what happened to the past when he himself has never let go off what happened before.

He shook his whole body as if he were drying himself. "Alright." He declared, "Enough of the sappy stuff." He muttered out loud. In actuality he was just talking to himself but it could be mistaken that he said that to Daiku.

Daiku shook it off and changed the subject. "so, have you been keeping busy in your pack? maybe try to become it's Alpha? as far as i'm concerned your plenty strong to take any of them on."

Xinal paused considering the thought. "Nah," came his modest reply, "I'm not the type who wants to lead others." He breathed in recalling another memory unbidden, one that he wishes will never cross his mind again, aiming for alpha. Sure he had that when Granger was in power but now when the alpha was doing well and actually likeable he didn't want to. But he felt that urge...

"Freya's a nice wolfess." He replied, "I don't want to interrupt her rule." Honestly he was afraid he was breaking down. Seeing that he still gets anxiety attacks when he recalls his past, who knows what he'll do if he does lose his mind.

Very silently he murmured to himself, "Spirits! Why do I keep this all pent up."

Turning back to Daiku he explained, "Well I have been slowly reaching the rank of Scout Leader. I'm only two more steps away from that position." He offered a grin as he wagged his tail.

Freya raised her tail as they approached the meeting site. The rest of the GroundWolves paused where they were and turned their attention to their alpha. "Everyone settled down and we shall wait for the rest to appear." All the wolves visibly relaxed as they were given the chance to sit and rest. The ranks and files all disintegrated and mixed in with one another. Freya turned to her Second in command. "Everyone accounted for?"

The beta turned to face the three other sub-unit leaders: Omega Guard, and Scout Leaders, before asking the same question. All the leaders reported the all accounted for except for the Scout Leader who reported Xinal's seperation.

After hearing all the details Freya remarked, "I see. Despite leaving ranks, if he's with the Luna Wolf I guess we can let this pass. He did help to save our hides after all from Granger's rule."

The Second gave her a glare before suggesting, "I don't think anything can bend the rules, not even for the Luna Wolf-" Obviously some still didn't believe in Xinal's loyalty or worth for that matter. He had risen up barking at the top of his lungs glaring down at his Alpha in confrontation.

Freya's cold gaze stopped him in midbark, "My decision stands. You'll make these decisions once you are Alpha, but never the less you're in no position to challenge my authority." She replied rising up with her eyes never ceasing its piercing gaze. The second backed down and turned away.

"Good. Now," turning to the other sub-leaders who just watched wide-eyed a near challenge over the position of alpha, "You're dismissed. Have some rest."

She then turned to gaze off into the distance in deep thought.

DAiku smiled hearing Xinal; getting excited, "Thats good to hear. hope you make it." Daiku then looked around and then whispered too Xinal, "The water wolves want me to become thier Alpha.." He pulled away and put a toe to his maw, "but keep it quiet, nobody really knows yet."

Xinal raised an eyebrow wondering why Daiku would want it so hush-hush. In any case he just licked his paw where a rock had embedded itself during the 'march.' "That's good news. Don't worry I won't tell anyone." He checked the sun again just to confirm the time.

"So, apart from alpha, how are you doing with the WaterWolves? Getting along well?"

Daiku then got a big grin, "Awsome! ever since i saved thier rumps from Granger they've been almost worshipping me, not that i'm letting them."

Xinal looked at Daiku with amusement gleaming in his eyes. "Almost?" He said disbelievingly, "with a pelt as white as the clouds in the heavens and wings to soar through them-" Xinal paused for a drawmatic effect and a glance to the other she-wolfs, "and with a handsome build like yours..." He nudged him playfully on the shoulder, "They SHOULD be, not almost." His teeth flashing as he laughed out loud.

Hayumi looked down at her wings, striped in a eletric green.She growled at herself and sighed, even though her wings would be considered eccentric to most she belived they were a sign of hate and evil.

Daiku smirked and nudged him back, " same goes for you, i'm betting mos of the females in your pack would fall maw over paws for you. if they really knew ya!" Daiku then perked his ears, he could sense something, not like anything he felt before, but he felt the presence of another luna, but shook his head, it was probaly nothing, "Wouldn't you agree?"

Xinal only laughed, "Why that's preposterous! Who would fall for someone like me a lowly scout?" He looked up into the sky finding the notion difficult to accept. Lifting a hind leg he tried to remove the tick that was biting annoyingly into his neck. After a few more scratches he felt relieve from where the blood sucker used to be. Relieved he set his paw back down and shook his head quickly.

"When does the council start?" Xinal barked calmly. He was getting concerned on how much time they were spending here.

Freya watched the horizon and a few birds that flew into the distance, lost in thought. Where are those other wolves? This is getting unusually long. And is Xinal already on his way back? He shouldn't take that long. Every wolf is important. What if the others are staging an ambush? What if there is a threat that has taken them all? What if-? Freya didn't realize that her fur was already standing on edge and her tail brushing anxiously against the ground. She froze as she realized what was happening. She quickly breathed in deeply and forcibly relaxed her whole body. This alpha business is starting to get to me.

She beckoned for her Scout Leader to approach her. "Patrol a field's length around this area. Keep an eye out for the other Packs." The Scout Leader nodded his head and went off to gather his units.

Hayumi stretched out her legs and began walking.She saw a pack a rush of energy inside of her chest mad her stop."What the-?" She asked as she caught the eyes of the sorce.She quickly looked away 'They all have wings..' She thought to herself oddly.

Daiku shrugged and thought for a minute, "It should start soon, let's head over there to check it out, agreed?" Daiku then called for the girls to follow if they wanted and headed off for the meeting grounds. The water wolves were just showing up and looked around, sorta lost.

Hayumi watched with great curiosity and fear, fear of what they woul do, maybe she was some missing link.Or what she had always belived.A demon, what her father had called her when she was younger."Hello?" She said quietly to the male that made her want to run.Female sorounded him like no other 'player much?' she thought to herself but decided that he didn't look like that sorta guy.
