Balto smiled. "Follow me." he said. He led the way to beneath the doctor's office. He lead up to the broken glass bottle's, he held a cobweb out of the way for his father. "You could say this is were me and Jenna went on our first date...sorta."

Balto chuckled and walked over to the grate. "Something beutiful." he said. He looked up at the light. "The sun." he said, then walked over to the glass and arranged it right. "The ice caps." he said. "And..." he stepped out of the way of the light, casting the aurora onto the wall. "The Northern Lights." he said.

Scout smiled in awe at the lights, then a tear suddenly fell from his cheek though he was still smiling. "Your mother and I used to watch the Northern Lights every chance we got," he said with saddness and joy both in his voice.

Suddenly, Balto remembered something from his childhood. "The night me and my sibling's eyes opened, the Northern Lights were out at the same time Aurora's eyes opened." he said. "Is that why she got that name?" he asked. "Sorry, I've got so many memories locked down to the point I can't remember them unless something triggers them." he said. "Like you saying that." he said. "I guess...what happened to mom...locked up most of the memories of my childhood." he said. "Tramatized I believe is what you call it."

"I was like that when I first saw your siblings," Scout said. "And your mother, of course. I expected to come visit my pups for only the third time, and to find their mother and two of them dead..." Scout paused to take a breath and pull himself together. That was tramatizing too." He looked at the ground for a moment. "Anyways, Aniu never told be her reasons for naming the four of you. I wasn't there too often. My team was getting suspicious because I had spent so much time with her when she was pregnant. I couldn't risk being caught with her and having my musher detroy all of you."
Kodi ran back to the sled and set the tomatos on the sled and secured them nice and tight. He turned to his two sister's, who were still playing. "Where'd Dad and Grandpa go?" he asked them.
Maria untangled herself from Ana and jumped over Kodi's back to use her brother as a wall between them. "Dunno. Dad wanted to show Grandpa something, but he didn't say what." Maria kneeled down to stick her tongue out at Ana from under Kodi's stomach.

"Well at least me and Aurora survived." said Balto. "Count your blessings, that's something I've had to do my entire life." he said. "If you don't things can get you down too easy." he said. "But I think that's why she named Aurora that." he said. "I've always wished I knew what my name meant." he said. He looked back at tha aurora. "This means something very importent to me." he said. "When I was returned from the Sirum Run, Jenna had put broken bottles like this up on the hill above Nome and put a lamp up there, casting the aurora over the hillside." he said. "She did it because, despite what Steele had told her, saying I died, she never gave up hope on me and put them up to guide me home."
"He went to the doctor's place, probably showing grandapa the Northern Lights." said Ana.

"Oh," Kodi said. "That makes sense." He saw Maria's taunting and said, "Well, I'll let you two get back to your game." He quickly moved out of the way so Ana had a clear shot at Maria.

"Its not your fault." said Balto. "Its the one who killed them's fault." he said. "I don't know who he was but anyone that could target a mother with pups and kill them in cold blood must be an evil person."
OOC: Can it turn out Mako was the one that killed Aniu and the other two?
Ana tackled Maria but both landed on a porcupine. Ana jumpped out of the snow bank, yelping. "Kodi, help!" she yelpped, showing the quills in her rear end. "Its hurts."
