As Ricker fell, his harness pulled Senna down with him. She gasped as her mouth nearly swallowed a pile of snow. Senna quickly jumped up, seeing the musher get off the sled right before it tumbled sideways. She looked at her mate, seeing his face expression. Senna cocked her head to one side with a sympathetic smile. She nuzzled her mate and leaned toward his ear. "Don't feel bad....you tried your best," she whispered. Senna gave him another smile before she went to see the others.
Karana leaped over her partner as the team collapsed, finding the harness leash pulling her back down. She twirled in circles, only getting herself tangled. She whimpered, laying down in her tangled leash. "Something always happens when we're near the finish line!" she moaned to herself.

"No...It wasn't my best. I shouldn't have ran all last night." Ricker said sadly. He layed down in the crystal white snow. It felt like foam on his feet. He felt a stinging sensation on his left paw. He looked at it, and a puddle of blood gathered around it. "Oh great!" Ricker growled.
Layla finally unwrapped the lines which tangled around her body. She limped around the area, then saw Ricker's paw was bleeding. She trotted her best to him, and said, "Do you need help?"

Senna tilted her head to one side, a soft smile on her face. She gasped quietly as the blood emerged from Ricker's paw. "Ricker, does it hurt much?" she asked, staying calm. Senna stood up taking a few steps away. "I can go get the musher," she replied in a semi-questionable way.
Karana lay down a distance away from Ricker, ignoring the cold snow around her. She tilted her head curiously as the blood came out from his paw. She stood up, taking a few steps toward them, but keeping a short distance. "Ricker, are you okay?"

Ricker showed his teeth at the pain that seemed to be exploding from his paw. "Yeah...Alot." He hissed. He tried to get up on the foot. He almost had reached all four paws up, when the snow moved from under him at the force of an Alaskan gust. "Oof!" He grunted after he fell on the paw. He looked at Senna, and said, "Help?"

Senna quickly placed her head under her mate's neck, pushing him upward. She let him lean on her as he rose, keeping her balance so as to not fall. Her paws felt like a thousand needles were poking in and out of them. Senna ignored her pain for the obvious worser pain of Ricker.

Ricker closed his burning eyes, then felt someone lift him up with their muzzle. He opened his eyes, and saw a fimiliar nose infront of him. It was Senna. "Thanks..." He sighed when he reached all the way up. He shook his fur, then clenched his teeth at the pain.
