Meanwhile, Kiara was joining her father in watching the Pridelands for danger. She watched as the crows flew from the Outlands to beside Pride Rock. "Daddy? Why did they fly over here?"
"I don't know. Maybe something scarred them."
"Ok!" Kiara said then followed a butterfly that flew right across her face, down to the bottom layer of Pride Rock.

Riddick smiled slightly as Scar petted his head, and looked at him.
"All right, I think that's enough for today. Let's go back to the den, it's getting dark" Scar said smiling, and started walking away, with Riddick following him.

Zira was walking in circles around her den, until she saw Scar and Riddick slowly heading back to the den, and talking. Not far behind them, he saw Vitani, trying not to make herself be seen by them. "Well, that was quick..." She said sarcastically. "I heard you roar..." She continued, "It was pathetic! Learn how to roar...Or don't be a lion at all!" She growled at Riddick.

"Aww, don't be so hard on him, Zira. He did his best" Scar said with a smile, and petted Riddick's head.
Riddick lowered his head and pinned his ears down, and felt like he had let his parents down. It wasn't his fault he couldn't roar yet.
"I'm sorry, mom. I'm sorry I can't be what you want" he said sadly, then turned away from his parents and walked inside the den.

"No! He must learn the hard way!" She yelled at Scar. She then looked at Riddick, and gave him a dissapointed look. "At least do better next time...I expect more than crows to be scarred of you." She said grimly. Flickering her tail, she walked into the dark den filled with skinney, molting lions.

Riddick looked after his mother with a sad, and lowered his head even more.
"...I'm not a lion. I'm nothing" he whispered sadly, then he ran away from the den.

"Where are you going!?" She yelled from across the den. She looked at Scar standing there. "Well!? Go get him!"
Kiara was stil lchasing the little butterfly that flew infront of her. "Come here!" She laughed. She then noticed a small brown speck moving in the distance. "Who's he?" She asked herself.

"Let him go, Zira. I think he needs to be alone now" Scar said to Zira, with a fatherly tone in his voice, which wasn't actually like him at all.
Meanwhile Riddick had already got pretty far from the den, and was now walking to a water pool. He sat down beside the water pool, and looked into the water, seeing his reflection. Riddick sighed quietly, but suddenly he noticed another lion cub's reflection in the water. He quickly lifted his head, and noticed a female cub walking a little further from the water pool.

"Well, hello!" Kiara said in a very friendly voice. "Where'd you come from?" She laughed at his reaction of her showing up.
Simba was grooming his paws in the inside of the den. He didn't notice Kiara playing with an Outlander.

"Uh...H-hi.." he managed to mumble, and stared at Kiara for a moment.
"Umm..I-I..I came from a place which is..pretty far from..here" he stammered, and pinned his ears down shyly.

"Weell...uh..I live...in a place called Shadowland" he then decided to be honest, and lowered his head a little.
