"Smell? What smell?" Asked a confused Mistyfoot.

"The scent of ShadowClan... Its gone." Blackclaw said quietly, barely more than a whisper.

"Oh yes, that one..." Mistyfoot mewed softly, staring across the border. Blackclaw was right...the scent had mysteriously disappeared.

Blackclaw sighed. He looked around in sudden shock that he heard the thunder of paws coming near him and Mistyfoot. His heart beated fast with worry and shock, partly with excitement. He didnt know what was going on, but didnt know if he should flee for his own safty, or stand his ground and fight.

Mistyfoot looked around. 'Where's Voletooth?' She thought. the warrior seemed to be good at suddenly leaving patrols. Then shes sensed the anxiety coming off the warrior standing just a ways off. "What's wrong, Blackclaw?" she asked.

Blackclaw didn't reply. His tail fluffed up, as the fur on his back started to bristle, and his mouth opened a bit, ready to hiss. He didnt know what he was doing. He defiantly heard something, and for the he felt real fear.

Blackclaw didn't awnser. His eyes widened at the sight, and he ran back to safety of the camp. Everyone knew cats didn't fly, but that day Blackclaw did.

"Blackclaw, what are you...?" Mistyfoot yelled after him. But Blackclaw was already out of earshot. Mistyfoot chased after her clanmate in confusion and frustration.

Blackclaw raced into the camp, and into the warriors den. He curled into his nest and shivered.

Jayleaf jumped as Blackclaw ran into the den. "What's the matter? Where's Mistyfoot?" She asked.

Jayleaf looked at him confused. "Erm....okay. What's wrong? Why are you breathing so hard? Did something spook you? Never mind, I'll get Mothwing." She padded off to medicine cat's den.
