Roars and Claws 1 *Documenting, do not delete*

Thunderstorm and Wolfbane finally flew back to their camp where all still seems to be going well. And yet, something doesn't feel right. "Wolfbane, I'm going to have another look around," he said to his weary son. "You stay here and keep watch for me, okay?"

Wolfbane noddedin reply. "Sure thing father."

Thunderstorm nodded back before taking off once more into the bright blue sky. "What is going on?" he silently asked himself. "If it's something very bad, I intend to find out what it is all about!"

FreeFall had just about reached them when he heard what SunFire had said. He looked offended, mad, and sad at the same time, he growled quietly and snorted as smoke came out of his nostrils. "WEIRD things huh?" He muttered as he walked away, not bothering to look back as his head went down. "And I`m not stuck up, maybe a little ingnorant and headstrong at times, but not stuck up." He whispered so low, that only he could hear what he was saying as he walked away.

RockScales grew hungrier and hungrier each day, as did his clan, RockScales finally grew ignorant and wouldnt listen to the others, and then he grew arrogant. RockScales had a plan, a bad plan. RockScales flew to the fire clan territory, noticing that the only one out of the cave was FireClaw. He grinned evily as drool leaked from his mouth and he then rammed into FireClaw, who was startled by the sudden attack.

FireClaw was angry, but didn`t attack, he roared at RockScales and it wasnt much longer before he too decided to attack. "I will not allow anyone to attack me out of hunger, evilness and arrogance, you will not take this clan without a fight!" Roared FireClaw.

RockScales didn`t waste any time, he was younger than FireClaw, but older than the rest of his clan. He easily tackled FireClaw to the ground and tore a chunk out of his neck, he had won the fight, he licked the blood from his blood stained fangs as he loomed over the still and silent figure of FireClaw.

FreeFall heard FireClaw`s roar and ran straight to the scene, to see FireClaw`s dead body and RockScales standing over him. "Nooo!" Roared FreeFall with anger, he managed to chase RockScales off. His facial expression softened as he looked down at FireClaw`s still body. "I will get you for this, I wish you pain and suffering!" Shouted FreeFall, although RockScales was already gone and couldn`t possibly hear him. He lowered his head. "Someone tell me this is just a nightmare..."

Sunfire looked embarrassedly at Freefall when he said he had overheard her. She heard Fireclaw's roar and quickly followed Freefall. When she saw Fireclaw's bloodstained body sh felt tears gathering in her eyes. Fireclaw had helped to raise her after that male had left her to die. He had been like a father to her, and now he was dead. All the sounds seemed to mute out, she could see Freefall shouting, but not hear him. She slumped to a lying position, too sad to really cry, and just lay there.
Snowspirit followed Sunfire and Freefal slowly. When she saw their clan leader's dead body she felt really bad, if she hadn't come then maybe everyone would have been here to save him, it was her fault. Without making a sound, she backed up and crossed back into Ice clan territory.
'I have to speak to you about one of you clan members spying on us' Whiplash growled, 'I am talking about a white female, quite young, sneaking around the edge of our den.' He whipped his tail angrily in the dust.

Icywing had lava hot breath as she turned back into her regular self "What!?"She roared "How dare you think my clan has spied!"Her breath showed her anger "Snowspirit!"She yelled as she went to find the young dragon

Then RockScales cleaned the blood from his mouth and went to the ice clan, just in time, RockScales was blinded by evil and hatred that he backed up what WhipLash was saying. "He tells the truth, I saw it happen, if you did not send her then she must`ve been tresspassing, FreeFall is their new leader, since FireClaw...how should I put this...Passed away, and has spotted her, he ordered attack on every clan, he wants war." Lied RockScales.

Icywing silently stood there think,then snorted "War?At a time like this,That's just crazy I want no part but defending my clan for it"She said calmly yet glared at the two "I do not my clan apart of war,if Fire,or any clan think they can take advantage their never see past our borders"Icywing stood tall "Now,I want you both out of my clan"

FreeFall was now officially the clan leader. "How do I lead this clan though, I don`t know where to begin." Said FreeFall quietly.

Icywing turned and walked around the clan,it was so hard to find food now,Why war?Icywing finally rested 'War,why now,why not an alliance between clans to find food?'She thought 'Or even moving to a new loctaion'Icywing sighed,her breath cold as ice freezing her spot.

Whiplash watched Rockscales walk away. War was a good idea, but if a clan was not willing to get involved, then it would not be much of a war. 'Icywing' he called, following the leader. 'Rockscales tells the truth of a war brewing because of Freefall, but both of them are corrupt and working together, which is why your clan must launch an attack on Rockscales clan, it is weak with hunger where as ours is strong, if you weaken him first he won't be able to win and it might frighten Fire clan into not attacking you, and then you would win' he said, 'I wish to join your clan, if you will accept me.'
'You could start' Sunfire said, 'by gathering everyone and giving Fireclaw a proper dragon funeral.' She looked at her paws, more tears gathering in her eyes, she had cried, but no one had noticed, and she was not going to cry again.
Snowspirit heard her leader's roar, and shrank back. I am going to be in so much trouble she thought, and crept to the edge of the den. She saw Icywing and Whiplash talking, something about Whiplash joining, and a war! Is this true, is Freefall declaring war, he looked upset but would he really declare war? she thought.

Icywing thought about this,it was indeed a good plan but taking in another dragon?Icywing closed her eyes thinking once more then stood "Then,you'll be under my vision if you would like to join so badly"She said "If you can prove to me that my trust is worthy for you then welcome to the clan."

FreeFall gathered up the whole clan, as he buried FireClaw in a deep and wide hole, as there was a moments silence, FreeFall recalled his earlier days. FreeFall pushed at the shell, trying to break free, he finally succeeded as he tumbled out into a world unknown, as time passed, he grew, he would play and hide in the long grass and chase flocks of birds, he always laughed or smiled everyday. And as time passed, he grew into a teenager, thats when his parents died, and FireClaw had been like a father to him, teaching him how to master the fire element, and making sure he fit in with the rest, he then grew into an adult, and now FireClaw was gone too.FreeFall felt a tear coming to his eye, but held it back. 'Why did you leave me, us, the clan...You were like part of my family, a father.' Thought FreeFall.

Thunderstorm landed on a big rock near where the other clans' borders were. He listened intently, but all he heard were the cawing of the ravens and the chirping of the afternoon birds. 'Hm,' he thought intensely. 'What is going on?' Then he felt the strangest feeling, and it was the familiar kind in his joints. 'A war is coming,' he concluded, 'and it's not going to be a very friendly one at all!'

FreeFall sighed, he walked away, leaving the rest of the clan still standing there. "Uh, go back to your normal routine everyone, the funeral is over, and FireClaw will be missed more than anything." Said FreeFall, he then kept on walking, he sat silently by the lake, his tail wrapped around his front legs as he closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind.

Sunfire watched as Fireclaw was buried, and memories floated into her head. Cold. Snow and rain falling all around her. She was lost after trying to follow a dragon. There was movement in the corner of her eye, a large red dragon stepped out. He picked her up, took her somewhere dark, and warm, and safe. Fireclaw had found her, taken her in, he was gone forever, and she had no one. Maybe I should leave, this was never my home, I have no family here, or anywhere, I don't belong she thought sadly. She started to walk away, and aimed for the other side of the lake where she could sit in peace and decide where she could go.
'Just tell me how I can prove my trust to you and I shall do it' Whiplash said. 'I could take a group of your finest warriors to take down Rockscales, or even launch an attack on the Fire clan.'
Snowspirit couldn't believe it, Icywing had let Whiplash into their clan, he couldn't be trusted. She didn't know what to do, should she tell Icywing he is a traitor, or should she tell Freefall.

FreeFall knew it was rude to read other dragon`s minds without asking, but he was so curious about what was going on with her, why was she so close to FireClaw, he thought she had been the one that called him a fool and told him to step down...FreeFall opened his eyes after he finished scanning through her thoughts. He saw SunFire and walked up to her. "He was like a father to me too, after my parents died, I dunno...He just..Took care of me, and..Stuff." Said FreeFall, walking beside her. "He was more my father than my original father ever was." He added. FreeFall didn`t know anything about being a leader, he kept on thinking. 'I will fail without FireClaw.' Then a voice suddenly entered his mind, it sounded alot like FireClaw. "You will do fine young dragon." FreeFall suddenly looked as if he had seen a ghost, he was devastated, was that FireClaw he heard?
