Stark watched the dog catcher with horror. He watched Saya bump into him, then, in slow motion, the net came down. He watched as his friend was put into a truck, the dog catcher grinning. Before he knew what he was doing he was there, Leaping at the dog catcher.
The dog catcher looked afraid, and Stark bared his teeth. In the air he grabbed the humans arm, dragging him down to the ground. Then a gruesome scene flashed before his eyes. Humans lay around him, slain, their throats cut open. Stark stood over a child, they were dead, their eyes glassy. He stood there, petrified. He was a mere pup.
Suddenly a wolf came out of the bushes and took Stark in his mouth. Then Stark came back to the present. "Oh my gosh..." He said. He let the human go and scampered away from them. The human ran into the truck and drove off. He had failed Saya..... What a coward..... He hated himself fo it.
He sat in the middle of the human road, thinking back on the memory. "So" He thought "thats how Sorrow came to take me into his pack" He sat silently, narrowly being avoided by a car. He didn't hear the things the human shouted at him.
Something occured to him. "wait a minute" He thought. "if I was taken into the wolf pack after that, as a pup.... How did i see my friend, when I was a yearling wolf, be taken by the pound?" This question tugged at his mind.
"I have to save Saya" He said out loud. "i will track them down.... those dog-catchers.... But, today, now, it is time for some rest. Stark walked over to a bush and fell asleep.

Saya looked at Angle then saw the dog catcher behinde her "look out"she yelled grabbing the human by the throat.Then she bit down and felt blood in her mouth.She let the human go and he did not move"what have I just done"she said looking at the dead human in shockThen she looked at Angle and saw that she was shocked"I...I didn't mean to kill him I would not kill a human."Then she looked down"I...i'm sorrry."

Stark had gotten up and ran around searching for Saya. Suddenly he picked up her scent. He ran over to it and crashed into her and Angel. "Saya!" He said happily"I was coming to save you... You got away!" Stark was very happy and relieved. Then, it happened again.
He was at the pund, he had come to save his friend. He asked the other dogs, and they said he had gone to the room of crossing worlds. Stark had no idea what they meant. He went over to his friends scent and followed it. He was in a room, laying on a table. Humans were around him, the room smelt of death. His friend was muzzled and held down. "This one was too wild..." Said one of the people, shaking his head "Such a shame..." The person who had said this grabbed a small bottle full of liquid and a needle. He filled the needle with the liquid. "Stark... Stark, help me..." His friend said desperatley. "Bad things happen to dogs who go in this room, they never return" Stark was horrified. "I'll save you... I will!" He said. The person with the needle sank the needle into Stark's friend's skin. Then he injected it. Starks friend whimpered, then started to relax. "Stark... I'm so sleepy..." He said. The vets went out of the room for a little while. Stark went over to his friend. "Stark, I... I'm going to go to sleep now... Everythings going warm, and fuzzy, and black... My vision is going... away" His voice was a whisper. "No! My friend, don't go to sleep, you will die!" Said Stark desperatley. "I can't help it.... I... feel so cold. The blackness is warm." His voice was barely hearable. "No, no NO! Don't leave me!" Cried Stark. His friend could barely speak now "Goodbye, my friend." Stark could hear his heart beating slower, his breathing slow down, and his eyes start to close. "Goodbye...." Whispered Stark, tears running down his face. "I will miss you.." Finally, his friend spoke his last words. "I will miss you too, but..... be happy, my friend... I will watch over you" Then his heart stopped beating, his breathing stopped, his eyes closed. The life was gone from his body. The humans were coming back, laughing over some joke. Stark ran. And once he ran from the pound, he started crying. His friend was gone forever.
Stark came back to the present. He was shocked, the memory was fresh, as if it had just happened. Stark was tough. But this was different. He looked away from his friends, as a tear trickled down his face. He walked out of town slowly, then he let out a long, Sorrowful howl. He would never return to the town, he decided. Never.

Saya was looking down at her paw when she heard Stark she did not look up.*I just killed a human what have I done.I smell of human blood.I have to get this smell off of me before I go back to the pack*Say thought to herself.Saya looked up and saw Stark with tears running down his face then she saw him walk away than Angle fallowed him.*Now I should be a good time to go*she tought walking away looking at her red paw that had blood on them.

Stark looked away from Angel. "Nothing is wrong..... I'm fine..." He mumbled. Then, Suddenly, Stark snapped "look, Just leave me alone!" He said in a bitter tone. "Whats your problem, Angel?" His fur was raised. his claws out, his eyes burned..... These flashbacks were starting to get to him. It wasn't Angels fault, he was just taking it out on her. "What am I doing?" He thought "Saying this to someone who is trying to help." His fur went down, he sheathed his claws and his eyes returned to normal. "Oh, Angel.... I'm sorry, I'm just stressed, I didn't mean to take it out on you...." He said, looking sad. "I'm... going to go now, I'll.... See you tomorrow." He knew he wouldn't. He was leaving. For good.
Stark got back to his den, his head spinning. He ignored Sorrow. Then he went over to his den, and lay down. His mind was jumbled with thoughts. then slowly, but surely, he fell asleep.
The field was beautiful, the flowers grew in a field of Yellow, swaying in the breeze. It was spring, a time Stark was acting cheeky and showing off a lot. Right now he was with his friend. She was talking to him. They both laughed and she nipped him playfully. He chased her, tripping over a stone. She came back to see if he was alright, when she made sure he was alright, they laughed and he nipped her. She started chasing him. She jumped on him, and he turned over to face her. They came to a hill, and they rolled down it like this. Then they stopped at the bottom. Neither of them moved. They had stopped laughing. She was pinning him down, they were facing each other. They stayed like this for a while, before she leant down and touched noses with him. Stark was surprised, and his eyes opened wide. Then his friend got up, said goodbye, and left.
Stark woke up. He had been asleep for around half an hour. Not long. The dream he had had.... was strange, almost like a memory, a flashback. He looked around. The field was nearby, though it was barren and destroyed now. This made Stark feel sad. It looked like nothing would ever grow there again.... The soil was too bad for anything to grow. Stark wondered about his dream.... "Who was that in my dream? I didn't see her face.... I did, but... I can't remember it..." he thought. He decided he would return to the town.... for now. "So, I will see Angel tomorrow." He thought, going back to sleep.

Stark woke up the next morning. The morning sun was only just peeking over the clouds, and none of the pack were awake yet.. He walked slowly down to the town. He sniffed until he found Angel scent, then he followed it and found her, sleeping. He sat next to her, waiting for her to wake up. As he did he thought in a worried way "Saya..... I didn't see her come back to the pack den site.... What happened? I'm worried." He sat next to Angel, worrying.

Saya walked up to a river and saw her self in it her muzzle had blood on it"I have to wash this smell off of me" .Then she jummped into the water and saw fish"i'm hungery I should get something to eat"she said grabbing a fish and eating it."I wonder how the pack the pack is I should get back"she said walking.

Stark watched as Angel woke up. "Stark, is that you?" she asked sleepily "I thought that you were mad at me. I care about you Stark, that's why I was asking you so many questions."
Stark was saddened by this. "I wasn't angry at you, it was something else, I've just been stressed. I'm sorry." He said. Her next question surprised him.
"Umm...... Can i ask you a serious question? Um, well do you have a mate?" asked Angel, staring into Stark's eyes.
"Well...... I.... Not really. No, I don't have a mate." He said. He was still surprised by Angel's question.
Then he looked over to the dog sitting beside Angel. He wanted to change the subject, so he said "Who is that, Angel?"
