The movie does stur some emotion. First time I saw it, I thought for sure that Balto was dead when Steele threw him against the rock. I started to whimper a bit.

I find that as far as instruments go the pan flute always gets to me. As far as Balto goes I found Reach Into The Light very touching.

The ending is quite sad especially when the girl said "Grandma Rosie!".
Seriously, that cracked me up! I mean, I didn't know it was Rosie before,
so the first time I saw that it made me quite sad. . However I don't
sit through the song because for some bizarre reason I find it agitating.

EVERY TIME i watch Balto, I watch it until the very end -- even the credits...I kinda think of it as the least I can do to tribute to the awesome people who helped to make it. I've read the names so many times. It's also funny how at the VERY VERY end, it says, "No animals were harmed during the production of this film,"
...but in conclusion, yeah, it kinda leaves an empty feeling, doesn't it?

All versions has this.
Just at exactly at end before it shows the litle mouse on the Ambilin logo from An American Tail .
Look at this picture:

It's not really sad. It is moving at times tho. Not sure which emotion it is. Every once in a while I will find myself crying as they pan over his statue with the wind sounds, the girl calling for her grandma and all. It's just a powerful moment I guess...
And yeah, they have to say that because they had a real dog in the movie. It's normal

I almost always am crying by the end of the movie. I'm not sure what gets me more, the music, knowing that Balto made it back safely and got Jenna, or that the movie is ending.
