"Emmett," Tanya began, unsure how to tell her son what his new friend was. "What did she look like? Did she look like us, but a little different?"
Emmett nodded. "She was really good at playing too."
"I don't want you seeing her ever again, Emmett," James said.
"Why?" Emmett asked saddly surprised by his parent's reactions.

Bronze sighed and padded to teh corner of hte den. She curled up, pressing her fur agianst teh cold, smooth wall. "I don't think I will," she muttered so that her mother wouldn't hear. "I can take care of myself, thanks."

Bic:// Emmett lead his team across the snow. He was barely a head of the other lead dog, but it was just enough to win the race. He slowed his team to a stop, a smile spread wide across his face.
Tanya smiled at her son. She was proud of him. He had climbed to the top of the ladder as the leader of his own sled team, just like his father.
James did not smile at his son, he often didn't. He was proud of his son, yes, but he couldn't shake off the feeling at Emmett would still some how disappoint him in the end.

Bronze crouched low to the ground and crept toward the deer herd. She flicked her tail at her hunting party and pelted at the deer. She wrestled it ot teh ground with hte otehrs and kille dit quickly. She lifted her muzzle. "Let's get ti back." She helped htem bring it to teh pack.
Denya smiled at her daughter and padded forward. "Good catch. that was great."
Tanfall joined them. "Yes, that was good. You see, this is why we are better than dogs."
Bronze shook her head slightly. She was well on ehr way to being alpha one day but her father kept hinting back to teh fact she had befriended a dog as a pup.

"Nice race everyone," Emmett called back to his team, who was all panting. "Come on. It wasn't that bad." A few dogs glared at him, but most of them were too tired to do anything but try and catch their breath. Emmett shook out of his harness and headed toward his mom and dad. "Hey, guys," he greeted with a smile.
Tanya gave her son a motherly nuzzle. "Good job, Emmett," she praised him.
James nodded at his son, his face expression less. "Did you meet any wolves during the race?" he asked.
"Thanks, Mom, but I think we were a little slow on that one." Emmett's smile disappeared. This was his dad's way of pointing out a mistake he made long ago. "No, actually, we didn't," he said in the some emotionless tone as his father. This is how it had been since Emmett played with... what was her name again?

"Dad, seriously, I didn't knwo any better back then, all right? I don't even know his name, so just forget about it," Bronze growled.
Denya licked Bronze's bristling fur comfortingly. "Calm down now."
"It isn't my fault you have bad judgement," growled Tanfall.

James nodded. "I'm going home. You know where to find me if you need me." He walked back to the house to lay down in his dog bed.
"Don't worry about you dad," Tanya said to her son. "Wolves has always been a touchy subject with him."
Emmett shrugged. "Who says I'm worried about anyone."

"I'm going to go check on your father," Tanya said after a while of silence between the two.
Emmett nodded. "I think I'm gonna go for a quick run."
"Running," Tanya said, shaking her head. "Alway running." She licked Emmett's cheek and made her way back home.
Emmett trotted out of town. He wouldn't be gone long. He would run very fast and he wouldn't travel very far, but he needed some time to think. And he did the best on a run.
