I love the character Balto because:
-I love dogs. And there aren't enough DECENT animated movies about dogs. D:
-He was really determined to save Rosie and the other children of Nome.
-He's not quite sure what he is, but he doesn't let that stop him from achieving great things. =)
-He wouldn't fight Steele, no matter how much he was torchured.
-Kevin Bacon's voice rules.
I love the movie Balto because:
-NO. SINGING. Woo-hoo! (from that you can guess how I feel about the sequels. >_>)
-Same reason for liking Balto; it is one of the very few good movies about dogs.
-There are no huge love scenes between Balto and Jenna. Yes, they have the whole Northern Lights Trick scene, but that was just Balto trying to impress her. Everything else is just cute little hints. :3
-It was about an actual hero, and they adapted that story quite well.
-The comic relief characters were actually funny, and didn't do stupid things at inappropriate times.
-The animation was really good, especially with Muk and Luk.
-In the end the very same thing that earlier in the movie Balto was shunned for saved the day.
-The hero didn't become friends with the villain. I hate when they do that in movies! *shudders* But also Balto didn't rub it in Steele's face. All that happened was that those dogs left him alone and Dixie called him "Disposable" x3
-The story actually makes sense and could possibley happen. I know that this is a given with things based on a true story, but they didn't make any strange alterations, and it's true that most wolfdogs don't have that tame sense of wanting to please their master, thus shouldn't be kept as pets or around children.
-Did I mention how there isn't any singing? =D
