Balto 1 has been and always will be my favorite. Balto 2 was a close second.

I was first introduced to the Balto franchise with the first movie. That one is very close to Wolf Quest in my opinion, so close that I'm really not sure which one I like more.

Shadow-D-Husky wrote: First movie: It was made by Amblimation. It has Steele in it. It has no singing animals. These are just three reasons, nonetheless the evidence is conclusive in my opinion. I most definately agree with the third reason. Steele was better than Niju so I'd have to agree with that. The studio used doesnt really matter to me. In response to Origamists post, to determine that youd need to compare which ones more heartwarming or memorable. Basically the one you enjoyed the most.

As far as memorablility, I liked Wolf Quest a lot more, but the way the producers tried to make it into a musical really brings it down. I mean, "Taking You Home" was good, but the rest were just epic fails.

Wolf Quest. The characters really draw me in (especially Aleu). Also seemed to have a deeper storyline.

I like all three for different reasons. I like the first one because it was the movie of my childhood, I bet I watched it every time it came on tv, and I still do.
I like the second one because of Aleu, I wasn't a big fan of the way there other characters were, and I think Jenna could have been shown more, but the main reason I like Balto 2: Wolf quest, is because of Aleu.
I like number three because it shows another of the pups, and because of the fact the dogs had to go up against a plain, if it weren't for the crash, which do you think would have won? I also like the rest of Kodi's team, however I believe highly that the moive could have done without Stella. She was just plain unneeded.
