The last few posts just seem like another "the mods aren't doing their job" episode. I've already seen this one. When are the writers going to come up with some new material?

If you'll trace it back, I observed that certain people often make a mockery of those who stand for the rules. The mod observation was just an offshoot of that, which Dr. Rex zeroed in on.

Well, then perhaps those who have, myself included, ought to back off and leave room for others who have more... how shall I put it? Those who are in a fairer position to say their peice (less flambouyant, for example, and let the record show I'm putting myself in the flambouyant category too). This conversation is going to keep coming up anyway, so logically it would be a waste of server space to make a new one if we can avoid it. But, having said my piece, I'll take my leave of this.

I'm not seeing anything against the rules here. I don't understand why this should be locked. Perhaps you could tell me why in a PM, because I do not see how this violates the rules. People have generally handled themselves well in this topic. It's very probable that this conversation will continue in another topic if this one is closed, so wouldn't it be best if it were confined to here? Again, I don't see any rule violations.

I'm open to correction if I'm reading this wrong, but Togo's basically getting at something along the following lines: This topic is getting close to the danger zone (flame wars, etc.). If it does, it will be locked. Please don't make me (Togo) lock it.

To me the limit has been broken already.
What's the point of saying the same things again and again : this topic can't go anywhere. Don't you have some more interesting things to do?
