Fang looked at Katie, still feeling fear for her. He set down beside Lena, knowing she and Tai both had a crush on him, which he found cute. "Everything will be alright kids." he said, trying to reasure them.
Lena nodded to her father but heard his mother's wheezing. "W-w-why...why is she wheezing like that?" she asked, frightened.
Balto smiled. "I'm glad you liked it, that was something very hard to do but I did it because Rosy was in trouble and she needed me and so did Jenna, I know if it came down to it, you could be a hero for someone you love." he said, nuzzling Tai softly. And I fear it just might.
Cachen looked shocked. "Grandpa cries?" he whispered, never having seen his grandpa cry.

Kodi looked down, the smile still over his face. "Her throat's a little swollen, so she makes that noise when she breathes sometimes." he nuzzled his daughter lightly.
Kai stayed slightly behind Lena, looking at the floor mostly. He didn't want to start crying.
Jenna nodded. "Everyone cries, why, your Papa cried when he saw you and your siblings. I cried when your Aunts and Uncles were adopted. Your GrandPa cries sometimes, when he thinks of his Momma.." she nuzzled Cachen caringly.
Tai smiled, giving a light nod. "GrandPa...If, if I have to be someone who saves Momma, will you and Papa come with me?" she tilted her head, a paw playign with the feathers about her neck.

Fang went over to Kai. "How you doing Kai? You alright?" he asked.
Lena nuzzled him back but here fears weren't calmed too much. She nuzzled Katie softly and realized something and looked wide eyed at Kodi. "She has a high fever, w-why?"
Balto nuzzled Tai lovingly. "Of course we will, I might be old but I'm still the town hero and your papa lives you momma with all his heart." he said. He thought back to that night, all the pain he went through was worth it but could he put his grandkids through the same pain?
Cachen nodded and nuzzled her back, he put his ear to her chest, hearing the soft rythmic beat of her heart. "What happened to grandma Aniu? Why haven't I ever seen her?" he asked.

Kodi looked down at his daughter with a light sigh. "She's ill, Lena. Her body's reacting to the sickness the best way it can. That's why it's a bit cold in this room, so her fever will hopefully go down." he knew it wouldn't, not unless there was a cure.
Kai nodded, sitting down. "Fine, just fine. Why do you ask?" he was still staring at the floor, tail steadily going back and forth.
Jenna smiled, rubbing a paw across her grandson's back. "No one knows, Cachen, GrandPa was seperated from her when he was younger than you. Lucky thing Uncle Boris found him, huh?" she chuckled.
Tai nodded, looking up at the sky. "This world is big...And somehwere in it, there's something that can help all sorts of sickness, isn't there?" she asked, her voice barely above a mumble.

Fang patted Kai on the back. "I know you like to be tough but I can tell that inside,you're cryin. Crying doesn't mean you're weak, it means you care, if you want to cry, I have a big fluffy shoulder you can use." he said, laying beside Kai.
Lena felt like crying. "Is she gonna be alright papa? Tell the truth, don't lie." she said, her voice quaking with fear and tears starting down her face.
Balto sighed. "I don't know, maybe. I know we'll get through this, your momma is gonna be ok." he said.
Cachen nodded. "Yeah...is it ok to cry right now?" he asked.

Kodi nodded, lookign down at his pup with a light laugh. "You remind me of your Mother when you're like this-"
"Oh...nghh, hush before I make you even redder than you are. I ain't dead yet." Katie smirked slightly, lightly slapping her mate on the cheek.
Kai nodded, looking up at Katie a moment as she woke up. "I'll...I'll keep that in mind. Thanks." he tried to smile.
Jenna nodded. "Cry when you need to, Cachen. But crying doesn't last forever, does it?" she smiled.
Tai giggled, playfully swinging a paw up at her Grandfather. "I know. There's goign to be a cure, and Momma will be alright." she looked up, the sky started to become gray.

Fang nodded. "You pups are like family to me, I'll never see you guys hurting and not try to help." he said.
"Momma!" yelled Lena, nuzzling her mother and letting her tears dissappear in Katie's warm fur.
Balto nodded. "Looks like a storm." he said. Man this is getting TOO familure!
Cachen, nodded, tears already starting to form. "Not forever." he said and buried his face in Jenna's chest fur, crying his heart out for his mother's pain. Ge kept crying until his tears were gone, then he just stayed there, listing to Jenna's heartbeat, it sounded so soothing to him.

Katie blinked, wrapping her forepaws around her daughter. "Lena, baby, what's wrong? You act liek this is the last time you're gonna see me."
Kai nodded, going wide eyed at Lena's sudden outburst.
Jenna smiled, holdign Cachen close and warm as he cried. Her furry chest rose in and out, and she let him rest there, for however long he wished. "It's okay, sweetie, I'm here."
Tai blinked, watching a snowflake fall onto her nose. "Hmm..." she buried herself deep into the sand.

Fang looked at him. "See? Lena is tough and she's crying." he said.
Lena sobbed. "Y-you're sick and I know you're in pain, I can feel it in my heart." she said softly, still crying.
Balto stuck out his toungue and caught some snowflakes, he motioned for Tai to try. "Hey in a little bit, would you like to go with grandma to see Rosy?" he asked.
Cachen just kept his head there, listining to the soothing rythum of Jenna's heart beat. "You're heart beat sounds so nice." he said softly. "Its like music." he said.

Kai nodded. "I know." he mumbled, still hunched. Come on, don't cry... he told himself sternly.
Katie smiled. "Lena, what hurts right now is seeing you cry." she nuzzled her daughter's head sweetly.
Jenna giggled. "Well, it's good to know, Cachen." she said, looking over her grandson, and truly taking in how much he resembled Balto.
Tai nodded, sticking her tounge out with a light laugh. "Hmm?" she sucked her tounge back in. "Sure, Grandpa!" she smiled.

Fang hugged Kai. "Its alright, no one in this room can blaim you if you cry, I cry, your papa cries, even your grandpa Balto cries." he said, reasuringly.
"I'm sorry momma but I'm so worried about you." said Lena, unable to stop crying. "My heart hurts momma." she said softly.
Balto nodded. "Good, she's a really nice girl, she'll love you...you want Cachen to come?" he asked.
Cachen suddenly burst into tears again. "Why is this happening to her grandma? Momma didn't do anything wrong." he said.

Kai nodded, eyes shut tight. "I...I know." he stuttered, trying to keep the hot tears back.
Katie's ears pinned back, her own tears started to fall. "Mine hurts too, Lena, don't cry please, baby." she wrapped her body about her oldest daughter.
Jenna shook her head. "Bad things sometimes happens to good creatures. My girl didn't deserve to be sick either....but it happened." she licked his head softly, tryign to flatten the tuft of fur on his head, where his GrandFather's was as well. "Ha, you and your GrandPa, I can never keep this down.."
Tai nodded, rolling back onto her belly again. "Sure, if he wants to come." she smiled a little less, glancing at her brother.

Fang felt bad for Kai. "Kai, you can't keep your feelings bottled up inside or it causes more harm." he said. "Come on." he said, taking Kai down under the floor and too a dark corner. "There no one can see you if you cry but me and I promise I won't tell anyone or think of you any diffrently if you do, my shoulder is still open for you." he said.
Lena closed her eyes tightly to try and keep her tears from falling but in vain, some still managed to squeeze through. "I'm trying my hardest momma but I just can't make them stop!" she said, keeping her eyes closed so tight it hurt.
Balto messed up the fur on top of Tai's head with his paw. "I'm sure he will." he said. He wrapped Tai up in his blanket. "Don't want you getting cold."
Cachen looked up at Jenna, eyes bloodshot from crying so hard and tears still clinging to the sides of his eyes. "You're really smart grandma...your girl got better so momma will get better, right?"

Kai got up, follwing Fang down to a dark part under the foundation. "I'm...I'm fine." he sat down numbly, havign a great stamina.
Katie nodded. "I know, baby girl, I know..It's all." her heart ached so, and she probably shouldn't have gotten so worked up; but she had. Paws would come out from their embrace, and head fell back upon the cot.
Jenna nodded, lickign the tears from Cachen's face. "If they had a cure for my girl's sickness, then they'll have one for this."
Tai giggled, nuzzling into her Grandfather. "I'm warm anyway, Grandpa." she began to curl up. "Grandpa...if it starts to snow too hard, can Cachen and me stay on your boat for the night?"
OOC: Must go *.* Easter dinner with the family and I need to take a shower and get dressed and everything, I'll probably be back in about 45 minutes?

Fang sighed. "Dude, I used to the same way, never crying cause I thought it would make that rotten excuse for a father I was cursed with proud of me but the truth was, it just made me feel worse and worse the longer I kept all that saddness bottled up." he said, thinking back. "Well one day I finally realized I wasn't doing anything but hurting myself so I just found a nice soculded spot and let it all out, I cried for maybe three hours without stopping and it really made me feel better." he said. "So not crying can be worse than just letting it all out, if you don't want anyone to see you cry, just fine somewhere no one can see you, like here for exsample, I have to go check on a friend, so I'll leave you alone, if you want to take my advice, now's the time." he said and went over to where Dusty was, out of ear shot of Kai."Momma?" asked Lena softly. She nudged Katie. "Momma?" she asked louder. "Momma?!" she yelled, scared and confused. She buried her face deep into Kodi's fur and cried hard until she had no energy left and fell asleep herself.Balto touched his nose to Tai's. "Of course you can, my home is your home but we'll have to share a blanket so promise me you won't pee the bed alright?" he asked jokingly, rubbing his paw through her head fur.Cachen smiled. "I know they will, sorry I got you all wet from my tears." he said apolgaticly.OOC: alright, have a nice dinner!
