Steele's ice blue eyes watched the female get annoyed. He half closed his eyes and smirked. "yea...sure'' His tone was rather low set, and brief, he himself was the finest bred sled dog in nome, for that matter. He made small love gestures twoards jenna, his tail cupped softly.
Boris crossed his wings and began to pull balto away "Come now, there's no need for this mess, again" He beaked Balto soflty on his ears, urging him.

Star was a little confused at Steele's reaction, he'd expected Steele to get violent, but of course he wouldn't mention it out of fear of making him get violant.
Balto looked up at Boris. "Alright, let's watch the race from somewhere the bully can't find us, got it." he looked back to Max and Ken. "I'll see you guys later alright?" he said. He stole a glance at Jenna before looking at Boris. "Let's go."

Balto followed close behind. "Yeah, I know." he said. He couldn't stop thinking about her, Jenna. Why can't I stop thinking about Jenna?he thought. He jumpped up some logs onto a fence where he had easy view of the race but Steele couldn't see him. "Come on Boris." he said, still looking at Jenna, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

Boris caught his glances at the pretty fae and smiled. "Ah there's the boy's catch huh?" he looked at Steele flirting with her then back at Balto ''Be careful with her, you arent the only one that thinks she's a fine eye"

Balto blushed a little, embearess Boris had caught on. "Oh, she'd never go for me." he said. "But I can't stop thinking about her." he said, looking at Jenna. "But Steele wouldn't let me withing ten feet of her anyway, probably her owners wouldn't ether." he said with a sigh. He watched the sled dogs, wanting very much to be one.

(er...Maxie isn't my sister. She's my best friend.......well, in her way of thinking yeah. I think of her a little more.  ) Maximum lashed her tail, then nodded as Balto said his goodbye. "See you later then, Balto!"Ken noticed that Jenna looked uncomfortable, then turned his head back to see Balto when he glanced at Jenna. Flicking his tail in thought, he began to walk back towards the kennel.
Max however, stood her ground a bit longer, and instead of trying to go around Steele and his group, she shoved them out of the way angrily and nearly snapped at one of their paws.Ken turned his head towards Max, then chuckled and shook his head and sat down several feet ahead to watch. Lashing her tail, she kicked up snow at Steele slightly, then stalked right through Nikki, Kaltag, and Star. She caught up with Ken, and they raced home.

Steele turned away as the snow brushed his coat. He rolled his eyes, speaking slowly as of for Max to understand "So childish" He looked back at her with icy eyes, and stood, watching her.

Max skidded to a halt on top of the hill, heading home, and turned to glare at Steele. She lifted her head higher, then whipped around and followed Ken to the kennels.

Boris thought for a moment, he himself had never been in love with any goose. "Well...What i can tell you is that it comes from the heart, this nice warm, intense feeling, your heart beating faster, your muscle weaken-"
Steele laughed loudly. "Will you listen to the old man, wow that's sure is emotional" Steele had follwed them after Jenna had walked away to Rosie, now he sat across from the goose and wolfdog.

Balto whimpered slightly. He still was higher than Steele and more agile. "Steele, what did we ever do to you? We never did anything to you so why do you pick on us like this?" he asked, at the moment, he had never done anything to Steele. "I might be part wolf but I'm part dog too you know." he said, fearing the insults that were sure to come.

Maximum was lying down on the porch at home, bored to death. She let out a large sigh, and Ken dropped down beside her.
"what do you want to do?" He asked.
"I dunno."
"How helpful." They both took a big sigh, but pricked their ears and scented the air.
