"No Miley someone has just broken in" he shouted and all of the sudden a gunshot went off. Colton recognized that blast it sounded a lot like a combination between an uzi and a deadly shotgun. He had no idea how to wake her up immeadiately that was until he had access to an airhorn and with knowledge that Miley might kill him later he set off the airhorn with earprotection on him.

"If I was playing games then I wouldn't be standing guard for us! Look someone has broken in two gunshot were heard outside I think someone wants us dead" he yiped then heard three more gunshots afterwards which could only mean one more thing. A gunfight was breaking ou but he couldn't be able to identify who was fighting and/or why in the first place.

Colton had one of his hearing-sensative earpiece and plugged it into her ear putting on a headset of his own. "Now can you hear me there's a gunfight outside I'm not sure who's invovled but at any rate one of those bullets could hit us we have to get out of here now!" he said sternly but knowing that hopefully Miley could hear as he peeped outside of the massive prop which already took a couple of hits.

"I know that which is why I'm going back to my post" he said but one of the ifghters was aiming at Miley and he tried to wrestle the gun away from him as quickly as possible but was having little effort as the man drizzled some sort of liquid on him... and it was gasoline. Colton backed away making one more effort at his neck which he successfully snapped but he had a lighted match starting the fire on the right side of his head.

Colton fur was charred very badly and he lost a bit of his ear in the process but what was the worst was that his eye was useless in trying to see anymore. They kept running towards the back entrance of police station and Colton opened his kennel as he shook off the dust that covered him. The only reason why Colton did that though was to protect his partner in this case and hopefully to gain her respect and love. "So who were those guys and why was there a gunfight to begin with" he asked.

Colton also began to realize this and sat by to console her in her time of need. "Miley please just let out ok don't try to act strong, let it out you'll go crazy if you don't" he said knowing all well that she could not be able to understand but hoped that something hit her. His left eye was still useless and noticed one of his squadmates running off to grab a vet to check up on them.

Colton nuzzled her lightly and licked her cheek in order to help understand her pain and suffering. Like her though his sight was beginning to fail him but his hearing was just fine. "You're deaf and I'm blind Miley we're going to need each now more than ever in order for us to function and to still stay in law enforcement" he said before he noticed Sarge entering his kennel.

"Sir with all due respect though just because I'm blind and she's deaf does not mean that we can solve this" he said holding his position firmly facing right where Sarge was. They had started on this case and he and Miley were bonding so quickly too plus he also did not want to disappoint her in the process. "Miley has her sight and I still have my hearing if we were to work together permantently can we still go on" he asked.
