In a band?

There are two people in my health class that have been trying to put something together for a while. They have just never had a guitar player. There is a drummer and a bassist. I over heard them talking about songs and I decided to join in. The drummer asked me how long I have been playing. I told him about 3-4 years and that I am self taught. The passist says "wait a minute. You play guitar?" I say yes. They look at eachother with wide eyes. "We found out dude!"

This is great news for you! I'm very happy that you've found an oppertunity like this! So, what type of music are these guys into and have you made any plans to play anything?

Well, I told them that I was a metal guy most of the time. They just said ok. I don't really know what kind of music we plan on playing. Hopefully some type of hard alternative like Breaking Benjamin or something. I have really gotten into them lately, as you could probably tell by my avatar.

As for my band, my brother's friend declined to be lead vocalist, so now I know we have to look for one. Still also in need of a lead guitarist and drummer.

Lead singers...some are hard to find, but if you know anyone who has talent and a good singing voice and they would like to make a career then I suggest singing lessons and who knows, maybe things will turn out good.
As for a guitarist, look around, and if your brother's friend doesn't want to sing but can play guitar then suggest that to him.
And for the drummer...my band is still looking for a drummer, so I can't help you there.
