Lady Vader wrote: I have returned to this forum now that I finished the saga. Twilight was nothing short of amazing, in my opinion. I didn't enjoy New Moon as much, because well, Edward was absent - and it p!ssed me off. I'm not a Jacob fan, so that was my main problem. Eclipse was great, I enjoyed it almost as much as Twilight. Im sorry, but in Chapter Twenty, I laughed my patootie off.
***Rant Alert. Possible Spoilers.***
And then Breaking Dawn... *sigh* What a disappointment. I was camping the weekend of the second, and I was begging to go home and get the book. So we went home, and I got it. Then it was like, I came home for this? The first six chapters were wonderful, everybody was in character - then boom. It all went down hill. It was like a fanfic gone horribly wrong - characters out of characters, and a plot that I completely disliked. Nessie ruined it. >.> I've honestly read fanfics better than Breaking Dawn was. And why was part of the book in Jacob's point of view? I realize that Bella was slightly inactive during the time it was in Jake's pov, but still. That was one of the major events in her life, and it wasn't through her pov? Or even Edward would have been an okay choice - after all, he's see Jacob's side and Bella's. And he was absolutely pitiful in the book. Broke my heart. And I swear, I was cheering Edward on - wanting him to just tear into Rosalie. Just when I had finally started feeling sorry for her in Eclipse, she acts like a complete - er... word I cannot say here. =x Well, I'd better shut up. I realize some people do like the book - and I mean no harm. Please don't take offense to what I've said. It's not that I hated the book, but I will not be rereading this one like I have the others. But I did like the last two or three pages. The book didn't satisfy me. At first I was like, "Okay Stephenie. Joke's over. Where is the real Breaking Dawn?" But I'm slowly accepting, I suppose.
End Rant and Spoilers.
Then I was looking forward to Midnight Sun, but then I hear it's put on hold indefinitely because the first twelve chapters were leaked. I'd be okay if it was just put off for a set time, but indefinitely? That means it could possibly not ever be continued! The twelve chapters that were leaked can be found on Stephenie's official website, for those of you who have not and want to read it. THANK YOU! That is exactly how I felt!!! But Steph has to bring out Midnight Sun. It's in her contract. She's just having a temper tantrum. I've read those chapters and they are awesome. I also heard that if she wrote the rest of Midnight Sun that she'd change the ending and kill everyone. WHAT?!?! That better not happen SMeyer. I swear to the almighty HEAVENS that we Twilighters shall NOT be amused!!!

She seems so upset about this whole leak thing, and thats why she said that. Like she isn't in the mood for a happy ending or something. I can understand her being the slightest bit upset, but putting it on hold? I don't see why. It's not like it's a completely new novel - it Twilight from a different pov! I do believe she is taking it a bit far... But I did enjoy the twelve chapters that have been released. =] And you are correct about we Twilighters - I would not want to see what will happen if she does change the ending. That will not be pretty. xD

I just finished breaikng Dawn and I was very dissapointed with it. I have to say I was only impressed with Twilight. I kinda figured that Bella would have a baby and the whole Jake-point-of-view bugged me to death. Also I was bugged about how the whole romance between Bella and Edward ended at the honey moon. But what really tore me apart was the whole Volturi thing. I mean it dragged on, and how come Bella gets some strange and "fantastic" power? I mean I would have like to have known the struggles of a NORMAL newborn. But hey I'm looking forward to Midnight Sun.

Robert Pattinson is so Edward Cullen it's not even funny. actually, that's not really what i pictured edward would look like, but he's hot anyway and i soo want to see the movie. my brother thinks that it's fem how the vampires sparkle in the sunlight, but i think it's hot. i saw the movie poster though, and i've gotta say that alice is supposed to have black hair, not brown.

That will not be pretty. xD ... You are most obviously not a writer. And if you are, you don't take it seriously. The first 12 chapters of her book were leaked ILLEGALLY onto the internet. She has every right and THEN some to put it on hold or even not finish it. There is no contract binding her to write the book. And all the people who dare call themselves a TRUE Twilight fan that have read the chapters that were leaked - again ILLEGALLY - are no better than the person who was low enough to do that. To be angry at Stephanie for not wishing to write Midnight Sun any longer are hardly true fans. You should sympathize with her. Not think "Oh. It's just a small leak. Get over it and finish it all ready!!!!11". Absurd. Simply absurd. You should all put yourselves in HER shoes for a minute. Imagine you are writing something you really enjoy doing, and someone - once again, ILLEGALLY - leaks it onto the internet. You can't tell me you wouldn't be furious and hurt. So before you all whine and complain and cry about how she might not finish writing Midnight Sun - THINK ABOUT IT! You would do the same thing if you were a TRUE writer and actually CARED about your work. To be mad at Stephanie for doing what she thinks has to be done now is just wrong. In my eyes, it SHOULDN'T be written now. Not with all of you who confess to have read the illegal leak of it instead of supporting her. Feh.

Okay, I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this, buuuut...
I simply can't STAND the Twilight series, nor anyone who just goes "ZOMGSQUEEIWANNABELIKEBELLAANDEDWARD" over it. The book series is overhyped, the main characters are the ultimate Mary-Sues of literature history, and the plot is just basically worthless. It's just a huge fanfiction featuring the author as the main character with her dream lover, a 108-year old vampire who just so happens to have never hit on a single girl until he meets Bella. It's all just a huge horribly written series doing nothing but having Stephanie trying to use huge words to try to sum up Edward's beauty 99% of the frickin' time. Seriously, a vampire that sparkles? A whole family of vampires that are vegetarians? Ugh, NO.
And the movie was God-awful as well. There was one of the many scenes that made me facepalm where Edward stopped a car with his bare hands, and smashed it, and no one took notice to it...wtf.

I was hanging out with some friends of mine, and oneof the girls suggested seeing the movie, and everyone else agreed. I thought I would be suprised by the movie...perhaps they'd be different from the book. I left the theater with my friends and was incredibly depressed and wished I could have spent my money on something else.
