They're totally gonna be setting up Satanic rituals and performing them!

Halloween's a harmless excuse to dress up like a nut and get candy even if your costume sucks. And we love it. End storeh!

I mean back then, in the celebration of Samhain. Halloween used to be a celebration of the harvest and some people even sacrificed things as an offering to satan.

Halloween came from the wiccans, and they don't worship the devil.

What ever Halloween is, it is now a love child between All Saints Day and good ol' capitalism.

All Saints Day is a Roman Catholic holiday where all the martyred saints are remembered. It's like a Memorial Day for the Catholic Church. Like all good Christian holidays, it was put on top of a pagan time of the year where it was believed that spirits can make contact with the physical world.

Pretty much all of the pagan connections to Halloween were Celtic (Scottish, Irish, Welsh, etc) in origin.

As Christianity evolved on the British Isles, the pagan traditions were parodied into silly games and parties. Due to the Potato famine, the Irish immigrants brought Halloween festivities to America. Then of course, American capitalism just ate up the holiday and made it into a profiting frenzy. But who really cares? Gimme your 3 Musketeers.
