I'll be free here as well, and say that it was I who banned Dragon Tamer. These are the reasons; Stupid immature rants, insulting moderator(s), recieved several warnings, openly insulted members on the forums.
Now, I've read all of the replies in this thread, and I also agree that you are DT, JLA1. You and DT have similar writing styles, and although you both try to react maturely to situations, I can see hints of immatureness in replies to the ones you think have given you a "bad answer".
Let me state my opinions on this new rule, since I'm already writing.
Steet loosens the leash on the members by allowing this "TO AN EXTENT", and I find it acceptable. In fact, I sometimes enjoy reading fanfics, like Rotramel's deactivated fanfiction "A Forbidden Love", because of the creativity, originality and how the writer can still make this as kid-friendly as possible.
Homosexuality is a natural part of the community, and I am sure we have quite a few homosexual members on BS. I respect people's choices for who they fall in love with, or what gender they are attracted to, and I've got no problems hanging around homosexual people. Because of this, homosexuality has also been allowed (to an extent) for fanfictions. And it opens up a whole lot of new possibilities for the writer, and it can have some good effects as well. One can really get into how it might be to be attracted to members of ones own gender, describing complications, how one might be afraid of what the "others" will think of you, etc etc.
In that way, I think steet has made a good decision, but DT also brought up some very good points too. This is a kid's site after all, and I think the fanfictions with this kind of content should have a PG-13 rating or higher, with a warning in the description as well (which I am sure steet's already added).
Still, Dragon Tamer went way too far in his FF rant, since he began openly flaming, insulting, harassing members who were making good arguments versus his opinions. In fact, he ended up openly picking a fight with and, in a rather disturbing way, poison his thread with sarcastic and insulting comments about that specific moderator. I'm sad to hear that the banishment has really gotten into him like you described in your first post, and I hope it becomes better.
Also, many people here value BaltoSource greatly, and DT is no exception (I guess), which possibly makes it even worse for him to handle it. I'm glad he's feeling better now, though.
But this still gives no right to try to create an uproar.

After I saw this post, something in me started to rage. The reason you are hearing us saying "bad" things about Dragon Tamer is because he has been openly harassing members with their own opinions about his little rant, and he got banned. I understand that anything we say might be interpreted by you (or him) as bad because of that.
But, about that website thingy; This is Steet's website! DT's got no power of him, or the development of this website. Even though he's worked hard to keep it kid friendly (believe me, I do that too), I know that many of the reported content was never really deleted because it was not against the rules.
Anyway, I can understand your frustration, but I only did my job, and that's it. It was the same thing when I banned CatWhoHas14Tails, although this small "rant" is a bit less... accusing...
Friends who stick up for each others is something I respect, but please... do not criticize us for doing our jobs; keeping peace on the website and forums.
