From 1997-1999, I was unbelievably obssessed with the VHS movie of Balto and I watched it over and over again and then when my family and I moved to our current residence on June 28, 1999, the tape was put in a rubber tub with all the other tapes and remained there until this Wednesday actually! Haha, but anyway, after we moved here, I completely forgot all about the movie. Then, in the Spring of 2001, there was indoor recess in my elementary school and about 100 of us all sat in the gym and watched Balto on a little dinky 20" screen. That really didn't rekindle my interest. Anyway, Ever since December 19, 2006, I have been obssessed with The Lion King after rediscovering that in my memories and for the past year, I have been on youtube watching Lion King videos and clips. On October 19, 2007, I stumbled upon this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZJc7QKKPiAAfter seeing Balto nuzzling Aleu and seeing as how I never even had any idea that other Balto films were made, I began to think to myself, "Wasn't there a red dog Balto was in love with instead of that girl?" From there, I discovered all three Balto movies on youtube on October 21, 2007 and sat for approximately 4 hours watching them all in awe. This leads us to October 23 when I joined this site and became part of the family . On Wednesday (November 14), I decided to go down into the basement and see if we hadn't sold Balto away during an August 2006 garage sale. Sure enough, the classic itself was in the lone bin of VHS tapes and I popped it in the VCR and was absolutely blown away by the clarity of the picture!!!! It sure is different from youtube, I can tell you that much!!!! So, that is how I've rediscovered the classic cinematic masterpiece that is Balto!!!!!!!

Honestly, I used to be a huge fan of Balto. Then got kinda swayed by All dogs go to heaven.
But I got back into it recently thanks to the cute and silly yaoi works of Catwhohas14tails. Kodi and Kirby have drawn me back in.

I loved this movie when I was a kid, (about seven or eight) but we got rid of it when we moved and I pretty much forgot about it. Then one day a few months ago I randomly decided to get on the computer and type random stuff into Google.
...So long story short I typed in Balto and found this site! This place is awesome. I wish I would have found it sooner.

I wasn't alive when it first came out. I'm 11 years old to be honest. I never saw it until I was 6 years old! And, I found out about Balto being stuffed when I was like, 9.

In 1997, when I was 4 years old, my mother got the tape from the library. I really liked it, but I didn't watch it over and over again. Why? Because it made me "worry" too much. I had this "mental" problem where I would feel depressed whenever something bad happened to a good character in any movie. I didn't watch ANY movie over and over agian because everything was a "worry film". It took me many years to phase out of this aversion to "worry movies". In early 2002 (I was 8 ), Balto 2 was playing on TV. My mom invited me over. I liked what I saw, but I didn't get to see it all at that time because my brothers were making fun of it. It really made me feel bad about wanting to see that film. In mid 2005, I was at the Marsh (a supermarket in IN) movie rental. They had all three Balto films, which I wanted to see badly. At that time, I didn't have enough time to ask my mom to pick up and rent them. And by the time we would go to Marsh again, they had already closed down their movie rental. Also, at that time I didn't find a way to watch movies alone so that no one could make fun of it. In 2006, I learned how to use my local library's website, watch movies alone, and how to have the guts to phone a movie rental. In late 2007, I found Balto 1 from the library and watched it. Then, I saw Balto 2 (all of it) on Youtube. I rented the third one from a local movie rental. I worked for and got permission to get Balto 1 and 3 off of Amazon. I loved the first and third films equally. I thought the second was ok, but I would have liked it just as much as 1 and 3 if it wasn't for the unnecessary, depressing ending. (I liked that Aleu decided to live with those wolves, but I didn't like the fact that she won't see Balto again ). And please, don't insult my siblings. I like them, they're just...siblings. They used to be prejudiced against something just because I like it. I have A LOT of stories!
