Have you noticed that? He's growling at Rosy and Rosy is actully afraid of him but maybe it's just the impact of her father dragging her away! Or maybe I'm wrong but I think it's Steele!
Also notice how Steele is taller then Rosy? Heck, if a dog bigger then me growled at me I'd be scared too, but like you said it could also be the impact of Rosy being pulled by his dad. You know, the picture would make for a good debate.

It dosn't matter if he wins or loses to gain her love...he had it to begin with. But It dos matter to Rosie. if he loses...she loses. That is why during some sense you'll her him wisper her name to help him remimber why he is doing this. Steele on the other hand is out just for Jenna's love alone. And if he did sucsssed in killing off Balto and bringing the medicen home alone..he still wouldn't have goten it. (Jenna would have been distryed by both Balto and Rosie's deaths. She probably would have gone into a deep dapreson or killed her self.) so he loses no matter what. but he dosn't relize this... in his mind he is still high and mighty. Heck if he killed off Balto, aleu, kodi, and all other traces of Jenna's relationship...he still would belive that would cause her to go out with him. He is a one tracked mind..if I may use the term...He is simple and belives something is true just becuse he belives it. why, becuse he is the all mighty Steele. Steele allways gets the girl. that is what he thinks. And that is why he does the things he does. in a simpler term....he crazy  I agree. That's a perfect description of steele. Basically he's willing to do anything for what he wants.

as a dog i dislike him, he is arrogant mean and pig headed, but he is a good strong character and is animated well, as are all the characters in the original Balto. Also as my first post i'd like to say a big hello to everyone of the Balto fans in here,
