If you can't bring yourselves to say the word and cover it with 'bump', 'twinky' etc then what will you do when you actually see one?? No wait again don't answer that!
And hey it is natural, really it is but when I look at an animal I don't check between its legs, if the dog is called 'Dave' then it must be a boy.. that is good enough for me.
Finally children don't look at genitalia for being male and female, they look at clothes, hair and beards. If a child draws a naked person they put a belly button on it not genitalia. Fact.
I don't bring myself to say it out of fear of being banned or breaking the rule of saying a 'bad' word and I tend to think pen15 is a bad word so I crawl around saying it using diffrent slang sayings so I won't get in trouble.

it is a scientific name the same any other part of your body. Nobody can ban you for saying it.. only if you use one of the many slang names for it which are considered swear words. I just think that giving it a cute name or 'bump' is stupid when arguing for this.
A lump of fur to represent a sheath is also silly.. in reality that fur would in many cases blend into the other fur and not be noticed.. so why bother?

Okay, I understand your point.
And I agree with you.
And seriously... why bother?
If drawing penises on animals make they movie better (which they don't) then clearly...why bother?
Seeing animal penises on cartoons isn't on my to do list.

Where did anyone see that I said that everyone has to draw a penis? All I said was give an indication as to whether an animal is a male or female by giving the male a TUFT OF FUR. You should read the posts a little more clearly. Besides, why are you people so afraid of showing gender?
Honestly, does this really look that perverted? ---> Male Horse

Rollawolf I don't believe you are reading other people's posts either so I wouldn't worry. I was just making an observation that the folk arguing for you on this don't have the balls to say the actual words they are talking about so therefore in my opinion void their own arguments. Penis, sheath, testicles, vulva etc who cares? I was making an example and I can only guess what the hell people mean by 'twinky' or whatever.
Secondly drawing genitalia is fine in art, people have been doing it for years and no one care. In addition a lot of adult cartoons like Watership down again these have been included, I am a bit rusty on it but I believe the dog that chases a kills a few rabbits is quite obviously a male. However it is different with children orientated cartoons. As I said before (which you probably didn't read) children don't need genetalia to work out if it is a male or female. It is much more innocent than that and they don't get confused if Bambi doesn't have all his equipment.
Thirdly I do agree with you on the live action point in your original post. To chop and change throughout the movie is silly.
I wonder if you did a cross section of society and asked them this question, how many would want it? But more importantly how many of those people would be furries?

Hey now, kids are impressionable. You think that most kids will know that it's alright for them to show it only because they're animals? Kids might see that and go running around naked, penis exposed in broad daylight, just like their favorite Disney characters.

Most likely children will be watching this...No one want's to see a cartoon's penis. It's PURELY not needed.

What part of 'lump of fur' is so difficult for you to grasp? No where did I say to draw a penis (for the 8 millionth time).
And Beta Wolf, since you insist on bringing humans into this, if kids can watch their favorite superheros with anatomically correct suits without running around exposing themselves; why not animal parts? I still don't understand why you are so against animals being 'whole' . They are ANIMALS; not people. I don't know how to put it as simple as that.

A tuft of fur on their crotch? What would that accomplish? You want it to be there to distinguish between a male and female, right? Well, females have privates down there too. My dog's is very clearly visible when she is on her back.
