I've debated with myself whether or not to put my location on the map and I've finally decided to not mark down where I live. I have a few reasons, but I think Stone pointed all of them out. He's telling the truth, it's not safe. I also didn't sign 'cause I told my parents I wouldn't say where I lived...

Besides, if someone wants to find out where I live, break in, steal, and sexually harass me like criminals do, they can always keep in mind that we use ADT Protection systems, 2-level codes on front and back doors, and my father has the best hobby of being a licensed firearms dealer, so I'm happy with that.
edit: lol... I bet I got the best lawn to cut- all 9 acres of it.

You can just put the marker on a random place in your state or even your country. Where I live, outside Atlanta there is 5.1 Million people. They don't have good chances at finding me or really anyone else.
You don't have to put your exact location, you can be as general as you want.

Well, if you don't want to put your name on there, then you don't need to.
But really, who's going to look at a community map on the internet, then drive 3-5 hours to the marker nearest to them to go kill somebody? It probably won't happen unless that particular person gets really, really upset at someone.

There's only 6 of us in the Uk so far. Nobody near me I can see. XP
And on the whole safety issue I didn't actually even zoom in to my village, I just put it where I roughly lived. Now I'm in the middle of deserted field.
