Naruto is awesome! I just think some people need to give it a fair chance. Then again, I'm the type who cannot stand Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo. Those both have such pointless plots.

A lot of it is the English dub. It's not an awful dub, but Naruto definitely sounds more annoying in the dub than he does in the Japanese version.
LOL @ being annoyed at Naruto but not Sakura. Do a finger count... how many times has Sakura said "Sasuke-kun!", exactly?
