Name- Kurona

Name Meaning- Dark Name, Dark Reputation, Dark Exorcism

Gender- Female

Appearance- Red/brown fur, white muzzle, blue/green eyes, black facial markings, small spot of white on chest, white front toes, back leg markings match Balto's, nearly solid white, flowy tail with red markings. Build is a fairly even mix between parents, back paws larger than front paws, legs are of moderate thickness and length, gain muscle and become thicker over time.

Personality- Cautious and wary of strangers, aggressive towards anyone she doesn't know. Has a love/hate relationship with leading/following, as she doesn't like being ordered around but knows that she has to have guidance to keep herself in line, and that she probably wouldn't have the slightest clue how to lead even if she tried. Generally smart but reckless, and goes by the policy, "Leap first, think later," which has very rarely turned out well. Is a slow learner, but once she catches on, she usually surpasses those who get it right away.

Story- Was born looking like the average generic red-faced pup. She was adopted much earlier than any of her siblings, and thus hadn't been given a name by her parents yet. Her owner was a young and avid "bloodsporter" who raised dogs for hunting, fighting, etc. At the time, he only had one other dog, a red/black brindle(think Akatora) mixed breed named Kayato. By the time Kurona was named, much of her face had darkened to the black mask it is now.

After failing to make a living in the states, Kurona and Kayato's owner moved to Japan where dogfighting was legal and there was more open hunting space. He became very successful, and once he had enough money, he quit dogfighting and had Kurona and Kayato devote themselves to hunting.

The team became very talented bear-killers, and Kurona and Kayato, bitter upon their first meeting, were truly beginning to work as a team and become close friends. They learn each other's deepest secrets, like that Kayato had gotten amnesia not too long before he met Kurona and knows nothing of his life before becoming a hunting and fighting dog. Although(at the moment), the two of them still live with their owner, the calls of the wild dogs are drawing them closer...

Due to me only being able to use colored pencils, as well as having a scanner that can hardly tell pink from orange, some of the colors are a bit iffy, so for the sake of the Seeing Red picture, here's a digital color reference:

Yay!! My version of "Aleu's red twin" is one of my favorites out of my characters! All of the pics I have of her in my gallery are pretty old, but her design hasn't changed any.

Name: Sienna
Age: Same as the others
Gender: Female
Breed: 3/4 husky, 1/4 wolf
Parents: Balto & Jenna
Mate: Koyuk (Kaltag's son)
Children: None, yet.
Personality: Tomboy, determined, competitive, a bit self-conscious, not very talkative
Likes: Running, racing, competition, proving herself
Hates: Sexism and gender-roles, difficult decisions, being considered "one of the guys" by Koyuk
Fears: The unknown, being on her own
As my character: Sienna has always been my favorite out of Balto's children, and she is the only one of my characters whose design I have not changed since the very first time I drew her. I named her after the 'burnt sienna' colored pencil that I mix with other reds/reddish browns to make Jenna's fur color.
Other: Sienna dreams of being on a racing sled team, but her owner doesn't allow female dogs on his team. Sienna is meant to be a house dog and to supply a good bloodline for his racing dogs (the musher admires Balto's reputation). As a pup, she befriends many of her owner's male dogs, including Koyuk (one of Kaltag's sons). As they grow old enough to try out for their owner's sled team, however, most her puppyhood friendships unravel. All of her male friends treat her unfairly when she tries to prove her worth to the musher ... all except for Koyuk, who proves to be her best friend. As Sienna moves into her teenage years, Koyuk becomes lead dog on the team, but he knows from racing Sienna for fun that she deserves it more than he does. Sienna also begins to experience strange feelings for Koyuk, but keeps them to herself because she has always been "just one of the guys". One winter, their owner enters a race during a terrible blizzard, and Sienna realizes that she may never see Koyuk again, but doesn't get the chance to tell him how she feels. When the word reaches Nome that the team is lost, and there is no plan for a search effort, Sienna must face her fears in order to rescue the team.

Personality: Blake is a very kind, sweet hybrid. He will defend his friends and can kill. He loves the wilderness and all creatures, great and small. His feelings get hurt easily over small things and, if not careful, he can go into a stage of rage (HIGHLY unlikely)
Likes: Wolves, his siblings, his mom, wilderness, life
Dislikes: Cruel dogs, abusive things, things that can hurt his family
Extremly Dislikes: his father
Fears: Not much, but if anything happens to his family, he probably wouldn’t be able to bear the pain. He’s also afraid that Balto had somehow followed him and will attack him and force him to go back to Nome XD
As My Character: Well, I kinda just made him for this topic. He’s named after a contestant on ‘American Idol’. He was originally going to be named Chase, but I decided against it.
History: Blake got adopted by a loving child, who simply just called him ‘Puppy’. Blake kept the name his parents had called him so he didn’t have to go around the rest of his life being known as ‘Puppy’. A year past and his owner gave him a name that was not to be ashamed of. Remus. Blake liked this name. He heard his owner, Suzie, asking her parents about names and they told her that Remus (and Romulus) were boys in Greek mythology who were raised by wolves. Blake felt proud of this name and let the town dogs call him Blake or Remus.
A few months had passed. One night, Blake had a strange feeling inside of him. He didn’t wan’t to be a pet anymore. No, he wanted to run through the snow, free as a wolf. His instict was getting the better of him. He thought he would be able to go off to do whatever he wanted (after all, Aleu, Chloe, and Dingo had already left for other lives away from home), so he decided to confront his father. His father was less excited about his son going off into the wilderness. He knew Jenna wouldn’t be able to handle the pain of saying bye to another one of her children. Balto said no. Blake wouldn’t take that as an answer, shooting out questions about ‘why he had let the others go’. Balto and Blake both got overpowered by rage. Balto swiped at his son, leaving scars – both externally and internally. Blake ran off the next morning, where he began his life as a wolf.

Gawd, I finally finished my new version of the red-faced pup, took me long enough huh?

His name is "Kolchak" (Kol-ch-ack), he does'nt have a proper bio yet (too lazy to finish it) but I got his personality basically sorted.

Personality: He has violent mood swings, never gets on well anyone, especially his siblings, keeps himself to himself, very self-centered, his attitude is 'why bother if I don't get something from it?', he hates wolves and dogs alike and can't decide if he is more wolf or more dog, very unpredictable, tends to bite first ask questions later, thinks he is the best thing to walk the earth.
