I can't go a day without eating meat, or I become very weak. Not much on veggies.

My fav is chicken/duck/goose. Goose is the best in my opinion. When properly roasted, that crinkly, crunchy golden brown skin covers a delectable feast...yum^^ Carrots just can't come close.
*not veggie bashing*

I'm not such a vegetable lover myself xD. The only vegetables I really like and would eat every day are carrots, red cabbages and peas.

I think meat is more tasteful than vegetables, no offense to vegetarians ;). I just don't think only eating vegetables is natural for human beings. But it's the person's choice anyway.

And, isn't a person who only (and I mean ONLY) eats vegetables a veganist? A veganist doesn't eat a single thing used from an animal (including cheese, eggs, etc)

But hear this, the wolves many people here worship (not including me) are murderers. If everyone in the world was a vegetarian or a vegan, most of the plants would be gone, and everyone would starve and die, leaving the earth blank, eventually plants would grow back and rule the world with nobody to eat them. It's the carnivores and omnivores that cut back on the omnivores and herbivores that eat plants. The herbivores and omnivores eat the plants, the omnivores and the carnivores eat the herbivores and omnivores, when the omnivores and carnivores die, they make the dirt richer so more plants for the herbivores can grow, understand?
No, I don't think vegetarians and vegans are aliens, it's just ecology is never explained to them good, which I'm not sure if I explained it good or not, but that's the best I can do.

Wrong, thousands of cattle are bred just for meat, same goes for sheep. Now what do these herbivores eat? Yes grass and they eat a bloody lot of it.

Now think of energy, lets say a thousand Joules (J) of energy reaches the earth from the sun, out of that 1000J only about 10J reaches a plant, the plant loases about 9J through its respiration processes. If that plant was eaten by a cow the cow would only recieve a little amount of energy and would need to eat many more plants. The cow loses much more energy so by the time we kill the cow and eat it we only recieve about 0.01J out of the original 1000J reaching the earth. However if we ate crops and bred less cows/sheeps we would recieve more energy as crops are a more energy efficient means to eat then eating meat is because of energy loss being less.

What I'm trying to say there is that if we all ate plants it would balance out, the amount of land required for breeding animals to eat is huge and if everyone were to be vegans then no, none of the plants on the earth would be exhausted. Infact we would have much more room for crop growing at a much lesser strain to the environment.

However I'm saying this as a meat eater, Im pretty much the average guy who loves his beef and whatnot but I do understand the importance of vegetenarism as it is much more efffiecient and less costly to the earth and its inhabitants

I'm a vegatarian, I can't stand to think about whats in the meat, let alone what the poor animals went through. I wasn't always a vegataian, but once I stopped eating meat and I felt healthier and it made a huge difference in my skin, it's clear of any acne now. I won't eat any animal not even fish, some people say they don't count... they do.
And it's not that I don't understand ecology, I get it. I'm not saying that everyone should be a vegatarian, just that I am. But I think that it would be good to have more, people that are vegatarians.

I TOTTALY agree with you i am a vegetarian. And I can not stand to eat something that we are not 100% sure of what is in it ( No offence to the meat eaters.) like there could be animal feasies, germs, fur, and who knows what else. just look what people do to the animals just so you can eat one lousy steak. so do you really think that one steak is more important than an animals life? Some of them have to take pills to make up for it, also organic meat is what you should eat if you are worrying about what's in it. Also it's not like they torture the animal till it dies, it's usually just a really short process.

exactly, its usually short becouse of somewhat high-tec 21st century has newer methods of buturing the meat.nto me eating pills to get those vitamins does not sound nearly as appetizing as eating meat itself.

Well I could understand people not wanting to eat meat because they do put a lot of preservatives and unnatural chemicals in the meat, while organic meat is just meat. Organic is healthier then the regular chemically induced food most people eat.
