What should be done about Pample's gallery?

Thanks Deni ^___^ Yup it's ok now, but when I heard that on the french side today, I was totaly mad. Pample is a great friend of mine, and maybe you don't know, but she has her personal reason to have left BS.

It's not really friendship to delete someone's gallery just because of that. Balto source is supposed to be a friendship place where people talks about their passions. Well on the french side this is what BS is.

Maybe it's time to put all what happened here behind and starts on a new friendly area ?

Mmm, the debate is closed now, Pample has said no, so I won't remove it anyway.

I think the biggest problem here is that you DONT know Pample. How can you judge someone like you do, when you've never even spoken with this person?

You don't know how much I would like if the english side would be like the french side : peaceful, almost never any problem... :roll:

I guess it's mostly the number of members which makes the difference...

I'm glad her arts to stay-I truly appreciate her talent as do many honest others.

While art theft may be partly her fault the blame should mostly be on the part of the theives. Humans have a choice and each of us has the propendency to make the wrong one.

Some folks are just plain desperate to learn to draw and learn to draw well in a very short period of time and so instead of studying the basic structures of animals they take the short cut and copy.

It is wrong but they don't know how else to learn. It might help if we had a tutorial to instruct them how to basically begin building a style.
Hard to do, yes. It might help the problem though. Maybe...at least the ones who honestly wish to learn how to draw.

xD oh!, I am actually working on a tut for helping people get styles. Don't know if it will help the situation though.

XD well i have in mind a whole bunch of steps, style, lines, technique, color, etc. And maybe backgrounds. But I'm pretty sure I cant get one up soon. =O Maybe in a few weeks.

Listen. I'm sure you know that Pample is not the only one who is copy. I think some people steal you art too, am I wrong?

You're a great artist. So are the members of BS. This message is more like a complain about the popularity of Pample than a complain about thieves.
No wonder why people think you're jealous.

Then, Pample doesn't want to see her gallery deleted. We have to respect her decision.

From your reasons, umm... I think I would have to say, no.
I know people copy her art and all, but most people SHOULD know that Pample is the original and any copied art should just be ignored or deleted. Pample herself knows that her art is her own and she has the proof. Hopefully soon, people will stop and get the point. It annoys me as much as anyone how her art is copied and I love Pample's art and style, but I would never copy.

My reasons for voting no? Even though Steet sends up her art now, she deserves her gallery to be here. She was the original and the best and deserves to stay. The other artists that copy her should leave. And if she decides herself that she doesn't want her art up anymore, then she should delete it herself. It's Pample's gallery, so it is her own choice. :wink:
