They didnt have their testers set to idiot mode...They did..they have bene working on the Wii for a long time. Pfft Money back...thats poor buisness..the system is amazing and it is nto Nintendo's fault. Expensive..these are cheap..250$ is quite cheap for an electronic of this magfnitude.

My store (gamestop) gets shipments eveyr week. Theysell out in seconds. They already havce replacement straps for free online..and all the december issued consoles have the new strap. So they are "safe"

It wasn't that funny, but in the picture with her and her broken TV, she was smiling as if she had just won the lottery or something. That's what made it funny. XD



Especially a TV that big, my friends TV has gone through worse then that and still hasn't broken. Plus, the cord didn't break, it just slipped off of her arm, so that part was her fault.

Remember, I'm in Canada, so something else might have happened there, but this was just a small thing in the paper. XD

The problem is that the will remote strap and the DS strap are the same and Nintendo figured it would do but with smaller children their weaker grip caused all the energy from a swing to be put on the strap breaking it. the same thing would happen if you tried to throw your DS and used the strap to stop it from flying.

It isn't the Wii, it s the people that own it. They act like maniacs!

I just got a pamphlet with my Wii HD Cables order and a Wii mote (wiimote on bakc order) And i got a wiimote safety guide which says. "Dont let go of the Remote during Game Play." Then later on "If your hands become moist, stop and dry your hands. excessive motion may cause you to let go of the rmote and break the wrist strap"

This is my last post, Jack you have this strange idea that because you feel somethings right, means that your completely right and that nobdoy selse can make a point, I truly laugh at thread over, I agree it should be but you wnat it closed because you think your right always, where as I want it closed because it will lead to a flame war, but anyway you say its not Nintendos faught? You know how thick the strap was??? Some say 1mm thick. Plus some of the games like golf, you have to swing, and don't say there idoits for not holding on to it, Nintendo made it, so they should have been smart enough to think. "Hey lets not sped 4 pence on the strap and actually make it so it will work". You keep saying the same point which is people who swing it too hard are idoits, your calling over a hundred people idoits, I like to say this now, that is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard. Have you emt all a hundred people? No? So do not call them idoits, if you end up smashing your TV, would that make you an idoit and stupid? No, it would mean you got a little excited and Wii had been so lazy that they did not even make a good enough strap. You think all one hudnred people were being idoitic? No, and if you even mention that they were being stupid, or the hot coffee which is completely different to this, then you are repeating your above point.

I am out of this topic for one reason.

Well, I'm sorry for posting my opinion. I mean, the Nintendo Wii should have been tested in all situations. Some games are more vigorous than others, some kids are more boisterous than others. You should look at this from all angles.

I'm not going to flame. I don't see the point.

But not game actually takes much effort. Smll movements work. And the Warning is there...once tjheres a warning the company is not at fault.

What Jack says it's true I just checked it and it does say that if you have moist hands to dry them that way you don't let go of the wiimote. Also there is a warning that says to READ THE MANUEL BEFORE PLAYING... But no people are dum enough to ignore it. Yes I said there DUM because they are if they don't read the small print. I do not in any way wish to start a flame war but I'm just saying the facts that were already stated but that people arn't willing to listen and if the need arises I will post screen shots of this. Mods please lock this thread.

Listen, if your going to call people dumb, atleast spell it right.

I never read the manuals, they all say the same thing..and plus, I think I would know not to let go of the strap, just like the ones for my MP3 player or Digital Camera..

People have a right to believe whatever they want, and you have to understand that your not always right. It's called opinions, if your going to come to a forum, you should learn about that kind of stuff.
