Balto: So, uh...just a shot in the dark, but I was wondering if, uh...I dunno, maybe you'd like to...go chase a few ticks by moonlight, uh... *long pause* did I just say ticks?

Jenna: *Repeatedly bangs head against windowsill*

Silvie: ...and I heard it all from a very reliable source, and don't bother to deny it.

Jenna: Well, then... *long pause* am I supposed to care, or not? I honestly don't remember.

Director: *sarcastically* Whatever makes you feel good inside.

(This one involves the voice actors.)


Bridget Fonda: WHAT?! Go off and record with HIM?! I don't even want to be in the same room with him!

Kevin Bacon: *scowls* Same here. Why can't we just do our parts separately?

Director: *shrugs* You do wanna get paid...right?



*everyone enters booth and director cues Kevin and Bridget*



Director: Okay, here we go. Remember, you're falling in love here. Action!

Kevin (as Balto): I'm beginning to see that you can't do anything - I, um, I mean that there isn't anything you can't do.

Bridget (as Jenna): Oh, how sweet of you, hunny-bunny! You are just the most precious wonderful mutt in the world and I believe very strongly that I'm falling slowly but surely in love with you! *gushes*

Director: (dryly) Aren't they just the perfect example of a besotted couple? How...precious.

Sound crew: *snickers*

Hey, you're not half-bad at this! I'm rolling on the ground!

Thanks! I've always wondered what would happen if Kevin and Bridget loathed each other or something.

(Balto falls under the ice; Jenna grabs him)

Jenna: I'll never let go, Jack!

Balto: I'm not Jack!

Jenna: Horner is doing both these movies, isn't he?

Balto: Yeah, but I'm on Apollo 13--up in space.

Jenna: Oh, he did that, too!

Balto: *sigh* Just let go.

Jenna: Okay. *lets go*

Balto: Wait! I didn't mean-- *drowns*

Director: CUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Steele: Outta my way, loco!

Balto: *screeches to a halt* What did you just say?

Steele: *also stops* What, what'd I say?

Balto: It's lobo, Steele. Lobo.

Steele: You're both, so why does it matter?

Director: Cut!

Balto: Oh. Yeah, one side of my family. Now, come on, Wolfdog. We have an entire five minutes of filmtime to make up.
